Princess and Her Knight( Overlord Au.)

Meeting

Zesshi Zetsumei, otherwise known as Antilene Heran Fouche understood the assignment and would complete it without fail, Or rather she understood why she would be the one to do this and had the other watch on the sidelines waiting to ambush, should fall.

The cardinal may have worded it differently, but she knew their reasons. She was exceptionally strong, stronger than anyone they've ever known. It wouldn't be a stretch to call her the pinnacle of strength.

however she wasn’t human, regardless of how useful she was to the Theocracy, the fact remained, and that their doctrine was that of human supremacy and she wasn’t human, it was why she was considered an extra seat, she was technically a member but she wasn't actually a member.

Her small stature practically flew over land as she ran towards the Katze plains at speeds surpassing any human or beast, her movements were swift and elegant and despite carrying a heavy scythe with her, she moved like it wasn't even on her person.

In terms of strength the black scripture would be the only people close to her in power however despite that she out paced them by such a margin that once she arrived at the Katze plains they'd still take around ten minutes to arrive after her.

‘I'll show them’

She thought, the reason for her ostracization was not lost to her, it was more than just her being a half elf, but it was because she was the spawn of that bastard Elf king, the one that kidnapped and raped any women he saw fit.

It was partly because of that stain in her lineage that she wasn’t accepted, her Vendetta against the elf King was partly because of that and because of what he did to her mother and she was determined to Kill him by any means necessary even if it meant doing as he did.

The plains were now within sight, causing her mind to shift back to the mission at hand.

The mission was fairly simple, Astrologer witnessed a power that could only be described as godly, a power that can either be from a God-kin or a power that is from a God item, similar to the one currently in possession of that old hag, Kaire.

So the mission was more about ascertaining the danger of the individual, find out who he is, where he comes from, recruit him if possible but eliminate and take the item should he refuse, of course the last part is dependent on if he's using an item and isn't a God-kin.

Ideally they would have sent the black scripture without her, however given the unknown nature of the person they're dealing when the inevitable fight breaks out, they need their strongest member to quickly deal with him, and if she falls the members of the Black scripture that were accompanying her will ambush him while he's weakened.

The plan was formed in order to mitigate the amount of losses, and Antilene was strong but otherwise expandable, at least compared to the entire black scripture.

With sudden halt, Zesshi had arrived at her destination, and what she saw caused her to whistle in amazement.

She witnessed the deep and wide scar on the earth, from her position which was exactly where Arthur had unleashed the attack, she saw it as wide spanning and deep chasm with no end in sight, it was like a dark abyss had suddenly opened in the katze plains.

“Quite Impressive, he's certainly someone worth my attention if he's done this”

She said with a slight smirk on her face, she also felt small traces of pure mana in the area, something she thought was a bit odd because the man felt a bit more pure, the Katze plains were a place where such pure mana shouldn’t be felt.

……….

on the other side, Arthur let his horse gallop at at a steady and peaceful pace as he enjoyed the ride, while it would be in his best interests to hurry towards the kingdom considering Babro had declared himself the king, he knew that Renner was dependable enough to manage without him plus with Lakyus by her side he had little to worry about, not to mention that the King's army should have arrived by now.

“Although when I get back, I'm definitely pushing forward with our relationship”

It may not seem like it, but he needed to have sex and there was no point in waiting any longer than he already has. He's just horny right now.

“I also need to address the Lakyus situation before it gets out of hand”

Renner in the anime was a psycho, while he loved that, it didn’t mean it translated well in real life, one needs to know how to handle their Yandere, especially since he's the one who walked into a relationship with her, as such it is his responsibility to ensure no one gets hurt.

“I'll deal with that when I get to it”

He whispered to himself as such thoughts were replaced by others, the negotiations with the Baharuth empire went quite good, although he didn't demand any land, he did demand “economic assistance” which is basically just the Baharuth giving money to the Kingdom once a year to make up for the losses the Re-estize kingdom incurred in the past years due the yearly wars.

The money will be used to improve infrastructure and stuff like that, plus with the illegal money made by the former Eight fingers, which will also be used to improve infrastructure and roads, the Re-estize kingdom should be on track to a better Kingdom future.

Of course, he didn't want the Baharuth empire to collapse and have a massive debt, so he left everyone else to deal with negotiations regarding the amount and other technical stuff.

“Humph!”

He huffed as he smiled. It seemed like things were going quite well, and his rule as the king of the Re-estize kingdom just might be something great for the kingdom.

He turned his head and looked at the reminder of what he did. His smile was wiped from his face, and regret seeped into his heart. However, he quickly stomped it out. This was his first act of great evil, and as such, his next act should be that of great good.

However, that way of thinking invites an interesting question, by whose standard would he use to determine what is evil and what is good? Would he use his own? If so, then why not just declare what he did as good and move on?

After all, if morality is so subjective, then determining what he did as good should be fine, right?

“ugh!”

He expressed as he shook his head to get rid of his thoughts. However, one thing was for certain, he chose what he chose, and going back on it would be an act of cowardice.

“You seem to be thinking about someth. Can you share? I'd love to offer my advice”

His horse came to a halt, and he was jolted out of his thoughts by the somewhat sultry voice of a woman, although the voice had a threatening tone behind it.

Arthur looked up and saw her, a woman, short in stature, mismatching hair, which was black on one side and white on the other, her eyes were the same, however her gaze was one that would cause men to shiver in fearr which contrasted well with her face that was quite beautiful.

She was definitely closer to Renner in beauty and Arthur couldn't help but smile, of course the face of beautiful woman was something pleasant to look at regardless of circumstances, her skin was beautifully pale, and she held a rather large scy

“Adults don't need advice from children”

He remarked with a smile as he dismounted from his horse, he was aware of who she was and the fact that she was before him meant he had garnered the attention of the theocracy, an unintended consequence of using Excalibur in a war that probably had multiple spectators.

“really! you meet a stranger in the Katze plains, and the first thing you do is taunt them?”

“You'd be a stranger if you weren't sent to me and were just here because I happened to see you, but that's not what happened.”

He responded, his gaze steely and focused, his body ready for battle. She was among the strongest new world inhabitants, and to underestimate her would not be good
