My Movie Queen: Chapter 107
Melody felt helpless. How many times had she rejected Fiona before when she was asked the same question? The difference now was that back then, they were both drunk and emotional, but now they were both sober and in the right mind.
She took a deep breath and finally said, "Okay, but promise that you won't help me behind the scenes unless necessary, okay?"
"Yes, I promise. I just want to hear it again. You agree with us?"
"En."
Fiona laughed and wanted to rush back to Melody, but Melody seemed to know her next move.
"Don't come here. I know you're happy, but please restrain yourself," Melody said.
"What? But don't you want to see me?" Fiona suddenly felt sad.
Melody now had a new understanding of Fiona. "I want to see you too, and I'm happy, but there's no need to rush. We have a lot of time ahead of us now. I'll come to you when I'm free. I just hope you won't be so busy by then."
"No, of course not. You can come whenever you want. You're right, we have a lot of time ahead of us. You should rest now. You must be tired," Fiona said, looking at the time.
"Good night."
"Good night."
Melody waited for Fiona to end the call, but she waited and waited, and the call didn't end.
"Fiona?"
"En?"
"You can end the call."
"I- I want to hear your voice more, though. I miss you," Fiona said, shy but sincere in her feelings.
She couldn't hold back anymore with Melody, especially now that they were in a relationship after the long wait.
"Take a rest, baby," Melody ended the call, blushing after calling Fiona "baby," something she had never done before, but it felt good saying it.
Fiona also turned red, and the scent of lilies spread throughout the room. "She called me baby."
Yanna, who was still drinking after taking a bath, was sitting, reading a book. It was her way to relax her tense body. But her relaxation was interrupted by the sound of the door opening. She looked at the door without moving. There was only one person aside from her who had a key to the house, but she expected her to come by tomorrow afternoon.
"I'm back," Vanessa said, throwing her bag from the side and walking quickly to Yanna.
Yanna put down the book and wine, stood up, and gave Vanessa a big smile and a hug.
"I missed you so much, honey," Yanna said.
"You're not going to ask me why I came earlier?" Vanessa asked, looking up at Yanna.
"I assume that I made you worried, that's why you came back earlier."
"I hate it when you can guess it right," Vanessa whined while burying her face in Yanna's neck.
Yanna combs Vanessa's hair gently, which makes her more relaxed than drinking wine. She hugs her tighter, and tears start to flow down.
Vanessa feels the sudden changes in Yanna. She looks at Yanna and sees her tears.
"I'm back. I'll stay with you, okay? Everything will be fine. He will be fine," Vanessa comforts Yanna. She knows that coming back earlier is the right thing.
Yanna nods, allowing her vulnerable side to be seen by Vanessa.
Vanessa looks at the bottles of wine on the table, then she drags Yanna to their room. She wants to change, but Yanna suddenly hugs her.
"I'm going to change."
"Change here."
Vanessa stops moving. "Are you going to watch me?"
Yanna, who is drunk and emotional, nods continuously.
"Oh, when did my wife become fond of watching someone change their clothes?" Vanessa asks playfully. She knows Yanna is drunk, but it's new to her to see her act to be normal
"I'm not, I just like you," Yanna says, her vision and mind starting to shuffle.
"I like you too," Vanessa smiles and started to change
"No, I love you the most. I liked you from the beginning until now. I only want to stay here because of you. I don't... have any expectations from anyone around me before." Yanna said trying to convey her feelings
Vanessa stares at Yanna. She knows Yanna is just talking nonsense because of alcohol but somehow she felt something in Yanna's words. She doesn't know why.
"Yanna, you can't go anywhere. You're my wife. I'll go crazy if you leave me," Vanessa says seriously.
Yanna looks at the serious face of Vanessa. The cold look and mixed emotion in those eyes make her cry more. She touches Vanessa's face carefully, every inch of it.
"I'm not going anywhere. You are the missing piece in my life. Actually, I'm the one who's afraid that I might be left behind. I'm scared that you will suddenly leave me. I'm always scared." Yanna said, keeping her secret on her own and hiding it to someone she loves really scared her. Scared that someone will find her secret while Vanessa doesn't know
"There's nothing to be scared about."
Yanna smiles, trying to arrange her thoughts. She has been thinking a lot after talking to Fiona. She knows there's a lot of unexplainable things she has done, and maybe it's time to tell Vanessa.
"Vanessa, listen carefully to me. I.. have a secret that you might think is unbelievable."
"You're drunk," Vanessa replied
"Are you ready to listen?" Yanna asks with a worried face
"Okay," Vanessa leads Yanna on the bed ' She's really emotional and talkative whenever she get drunk and.. seems to love to talk nonsense too '
"Whatever I say, please, calm down, okay?" Yanna said lying down
Vanessa put a blanket on Yanna while nodding but Yanna suddenly hug her
"You said you were going to say something, but now you're hugging me tight," Vanessa feels helpless, she smile and gently touch Yanna's back to comfort her
"I'm just afraid you will leave me after saying this." Yanna said still immersed in her emotion while her vision is getting blurry
"That serious?"
"Yes."
"Okay, I'm listening."
