My Movie Queen: Chapter 106

Sitting in her car, Fiona frowns at Melody's attitude towards her. She doesn't know if Melody really doesn't know anything about her feelings or is just being nonchalant about it, but she's now getting tired of trying to understand Melody again and again.

She felt complicated inside, and the edge of her eyes started to turn red. She clenched her fist and decided to make a phone call to Yanna. ' I can't give up on Melody, so what if we are both omega? It doesn't matter. I know she likes me too, she said it before. '

"Fiona?"

"Yanna, sorry to call you out of the sudden."

"Tell me what's wrong?"

"Do you like Melody?"

"What? Haha, what kind of question is this?"

"Just answer me, please."

"First you apologize and now you say please? Is this really important?"

"Yes."

"There's a lot of different kinds of liking, and I like Melody as a friend and I see her as a sister too."

"Not in a romantic way?"

"Do you think I'm a scumbag?"

"No, no, that's not what I meant. I'm sorry, it's just... Melody says she likes you and I thought you might like her too cause I can see how you trust her and know her very well."

"Wait, you asked her?"

"Yes."

"Fool."

"Watch your words."

"If you are not a fool then what? Let me guess, she didn't talk to you after that, did she?"

"Yeah, and I feel wronged."

"You asked her something personal when you know there's a lot going on right now, and to think that you have an idea that we both might like each other, knowing I'm in a relationship, is just crazy."

"I can't help it," Fiona leaned backward, closing her eyes, feeling helpless because she just understood that she might have done something wrong. Then she explained, "You have full trust in her as if you knew she won't make a mistake from the beginning. You just know her not long ago, but you treat her so well."

Yanna only smiled. She knew sooner or later someone's going to notice something, but she can't say anything just yet. "Fiona, just like I have full trust on Melody in decision making, I also have full trust in you that between friends and money, you will choose friends. I won't say I know you guys better, but it doesn't matter. I can get to know you more."

Fiona opened her eyes, hearing that she was trusted just like Melody made her feel better. "You're not hitting on me, are you?"

"I like you as a friend, but please, you're not my type," Yanna chuckled.

Fiona smiled with a defeated look. "I like her, but I don't know what to do."

"Just be yourself. Remember who you are, don't be like those people who are regarded as smart but a fool in terms of love."

"Be myself," Fiona repeated.

"Yes."

Fiona contemplated. She said a few more words to Yanna before driving home. When she got home, she quickly wanted to send a message to Melody to apologize. But when she was about to send the message, she paused and instead made a call.

She felt nervous, thinking Melody might still be mad at her. But thankfully, it didn't last long.

"Hello," Melody said weakly. She was tired and had a lot to do. Fiona's sudden question earlier made her irritated. Something personal shouldn't be brought up just because she wants to. But she still can't help but answer Fiona's call because she knows she also has a problem. Maybe it's time to talk about it.

"I'm sorry about earlier. I just realized my mistake and I didn't mean to add to your trouble. When you have time, I'll treat you to whatever you want."

"Fiona, I don't know why you suddenly asked me something like that earlier, but let's talk about us now," Melody stated seriously.

Fiona felt nervous. She was afraid of what Melody would say. She took a deep breath and remembered Yanna's words of just being herself.

"Okay."

"You like me, right?" Melody asked.

"Yes," Fiona answered without hesitation.

"We are both omega," Melody stated it as one of her concerns before.

"I don't care. Do you care?"

Melody felt better hearing Fiona's answer. Then she replied without hesitation, "I don't care."

Fiona's eyes widened when she heard Melody's answer, and her heartbeats became faster. She didn't know that Melody's concern all this time was not their gender at all.

"D- Do you like me?" Fiona blushed when she realized she stuttered. She held her mouth to calm herself.

Melody knew and understood Fiona's emotion right now. Hearing her stutter made her smile helplessly. "Yes."

"Really? Then- ,"

"Stop."

"What?" Fiona froze in place. She felt like in a roller coaster. Not even a minute had passed, yet she already felt all emotions in her entire life. She remembered being rejected by Melody before when they got drunk.

"I like you, but it doesn't mean we can just get together."

"What do you mean? We both like each other. Is there something more to be concerned about?"

"Status, we are like heaven and earth, Fiona. I'm happy to be part of your life, but I don't think I'm worth it yet. You are up there and I'm here,"

"Status..." Fiona became more serious than ever. She had never thought that her status would be the problem. If she had been asked before which she would choose between high status or the person she likes, she might have chosen her status. But now she understands what is more important.

"I can come down from up here and leave everything behind for you. Power and recognition used to be important to me; to be the best in everything was my pursuit. However, when I met you, it changed," Fiona stated. ' It's not like I can't earn money if I leave my family and wealth '

Melody clenched her fist. She was moved by Fiona's words. How hard could it be for a wealthy child to come down, but that's not what she wants.

"I just want to say, wait for me. I want you to see that I can be the best version of myself for you. I can climb high from here for you. So please, just wait for me, okay?"

Fiona opened her mouth and couldn't say a word. Since she was a child, she was always the one who took the initiative to study hard and work hard to be recognized by everyone around her because if she didn't, no one would care about her and no one would like her. Listening to Melody, who wants to work hard for her, made her cry.

"But I- I want to be by your side. I understand you want to work hard, but I want to be your strength. I also want you to know how much I love you," Fiona said, her voice becoming lower as she felt shy saying love words.

Melody was shocked to hear Fiona's voice become lighter and more feminine, not like the usual goblin with a little deep voice. It was also unusual for Fiona to say love words; this was the first time, so she didn't hear Fiona's next question.

Fiona felt nervous again because Melody didn't say anything. "Melody?"

"Yes," Melody answered without thinking.

"Do you agree with me? There's no turning back now," Fiona said.

"Wait, what? Where did I agree?" Melody asked in confusion. She had just been lost in thought earlier because of Fiona, and now the topic changed without her knowledge.

"I said let's be together, you said yes. You're not going back, are you?" Fiona asked with her sweet voice.
