LUNA’S SECRET

Luna gasped as the portion began to bubble then settle and once again she repeated the process as she had earlier and it worked , the cure worked, she let out a scream of joy and quickly tamped it down, she gave it six hours and the rat was okay, she released it back into the wild and took a big syringe and injected it into herself.

It was like liquid fire, she dropped to the floor writhing in pain, tears streamed down her face as she stifled the cry of agony, sweat coated her entire body, eventually she blacked out , when she came to she gathered her supplies and the excess antidote and hid it, then she discarded the ones that was not important, the dead rat she threw them into the thrash and was about to go take a shower.

As if on cue there was ferocious pounding in her door , Luna jumped wondering if it was her bullies coming to create mischief, she was not expecting any one but a sigh of relief left her she the person at the other side of the door confirmed her identity," I am an omega sent by Evangeline to fetch you , she said to tell you that there is an emergency case in the clinic and your presence is needed".

The omega left as quickly as she came after delivering the message, not waiting for a response.Luna wondered why she would even be needed, she had almost zero medical experience outside her knowledge of herbs, She just changed her clothes as the one she was wearing earlier was badly stained with blood and death and she rushed to answer the urgent call.

Evangeline looked stressed twenty pack patrol had been poisoned by drinking water from a certain stream and it was identical to the poison found in Luna,s blood stream, "I have been able to stabilize them but we have to fix this fast or the would not make it, they are already in an induced coma to reduce the effect of the poison in their system".

"I would need to perform tests on you and Lauretta, while I do that, if you remember anything at all that would be helpful, if you are hiding anything from me , this is the time to come clean, we cannot afford to lose this amount of warriors with the rogue threats on the rise". Luna but his lips and looked down avoiding their piercing stares, it was like the whole room held its breath waiting for her answer.

"There is nothing you would be able to do that would work" Luna muttered, "because the rogues didn't poison me, I poisoned myself and the objects I used were blessed, but I used them in pain and anger, turning them somehow into cursed items, so no herbs or medicine you make would work unless I give you the antidote this men would die today".

Luna continued "you can run your test to find out if the poison is still destroying my organs,I too the antidotes just two hours ago if you don't trust me, before you use it on them".

Evangeline stared at Lauretta incredulously unable to believe what she was hearing but the note of finality in Lauretta's word was what made her believe that every word she uttered was true.

Evangeline still decided to perform the tests , she couldn't risk her patients life, the poison was still there but completely dormant , it was no longer causing any damage to her system. With a nod of approval Luna was running to retrieve the the antidote that she made earlier today and Evangeline gave them each a dose of what was left the patients began writhing and seizing.

Evangeline was scared that they would pass on, she wanted to stabilize them with injections but Luna told her not to, she wasn't sure how the portion would react to modern medicine, Luna asked Evangeline to trust her , she didn't quite have a choice so she decided to let nature size, eventually the patients all lay still , their fever had broken , Evangeline checked their vitals and performed some routine tests,miraculously the poison became ineffective, Evangeline removed them from the induced coma , their wolf spirit although weak would complete the rest of the healing.

Evangeline knew she couldn't keep this information to herself anymore, she had heard the rumors and if they were true she had to inform alpha Marcus about it before the got destroyed by this waif of a girl. Now there were two women that needed the attention of the Alpha urgently.

Cressida had been passing through the hospital when she overheard the conversation between Lauretta and Evangeline and listened to it all even bringing out her phone to record them she could barely stop herself from racing to Marcus office smug from the information she had gathered.

Marcus sighed when he looked up to find Cressida standing at the door of his office , he thought her staying away for that long spoke of the fact that she understood that they were just a fling nothing serious but apparently not, her face held a smug smile as she strode into his office in a blue gown that accentuated her golden hair and the gown was extremely short, he knew that if he slid his hands under her dress he would find her without pants.

"What is it Cressida you know am busy", Marcus drawled lazily a frown stole over her smug smile, that did not stop her from stalking over to his chair and making herself comfortable on his lap, "what do you want Cressida?", he asked again coldly,this time around his voice held only an icy bite.
