LUNA’S SECRET

"Can't someone miss her favorite male?" 

"I am working let's discuss this some other time". 

"are you saying this because you have found newer interests with that new omega".

"What do you mean?". Marcus demanded hotly.

"Please Marcus drop the ruse, the whole pack knows that you have been smashing the new omega that's why you elevated her status so she wouldn't have to cool and clean and I would say thag is unfair Alpha Marcus, If you keep playing favorites you may soon find a rebellion in your hands by other unsatisfied staff members of the pack don't look so startled Marcus" Cressida she drawled.

"Does that mean your new favorite toy does it again better than me? Does she pleasure you the same way I pleasure you", Marcus felt his patience snap , at someone talking about Lauretta in that manner, before he could stop himself, he flung Cressida across the wall with such force, it was crumbling the side of his office.

He stalked towards her, his wolf completely taking over, but Cressida's body was already mending itself .

She began taunting Marcus, anger making her words razor sharp "oh Alpha Marcus Valen . you have it really bad, don't you, the big bad alpha falling for a weak pathetic Omega , that cannot protect and stand up for herself how rich". He growled grabbing her by the neck and Cressida struggled against his grip choking.

He had never for once reacted this way to her taunting and she wondered if he , an Alpha would really kill an elite member of his pack for a girl that was not even a member of their pack, that was just an omega. 

"What is this Marcus are you going to kill me because of her? For taunting your new toy even if I have audio proof of her treachery that she agreed to when Evangeline questioned her?".

"I am royalty too remember that, I have noble blood flowing through my vein, my father served yours until the both retired and if you kill me today because of a traitor ,you would destroy this pack even before the rogues destroy it, their would be internal warfare and you would be left without a pack, my father has wolf warriors loyal to him".

Marcus considered snapping her neck for her disobedience but found out his anger was irrational he had no reason to kill her , he let her down roughly and Cressida coughed choking, angry but slightly turned on, this was some of the activities she enjoyed in the bedroom, she enjoyed being used , hurt it increased the pleasure for her.

Marcus watched her in stony faces silence irritated that she would be aroused in this situation, the woman was sick in the head.

"Get out of my office he roared.

"Fine am leaving almighty and powerful but I came to inform you that twenty of your border patrol member were poisoned by your darling omega, apparently she created the poison herself".

"This is the woman you have forced us to live with a poisoner, who knows how much lies she has fed you to cause you to even want to harm a member of your own pack a woman that grew up with you"'

"Maybe she had poisoned all of us too you know that long term poison that takes years to begin taking effect, you brought this on us Marcus and I can't even trust you to fix it because she has trapped you in her little spell".

Marcus looked at Cressida he didn't know what to believe or even what to say, as he watched the seething woman standing before him , "Get out Cressida. It is not your business how I choose to run my pack, if you're not okay with it feel free to join another pack or start your own pack".

His tone dropped to what sounded like a snarl , "Don't you ever raise your voice, or talk to me this ever again or else I would slit your pretty throat ex beta's daughter or not , I am Alpha Marcus Valen and you would yield to me". Cressida's knew she had crossed a line , she dropped to her knees with her neck out in submission, her wolf whimpering. 

Marcus looked at her with disgust and stalked out of his office , everyone he met on the corridor created a part for him not wanting to face the alpha's fury, He stalked to the hospital and sure enough twenty of his patrol guard lay on the bed writhing in pain and sweating as their body worked the rest of the poison out of them but stable.

He growled in anger , what happened here and why wasn't this reported to me , his wolf simmered just above the surface is words coming out more as a growl than anything else. Evangeline bowed her head and Luna didn't dare meat his gaze the rest of the hospital staff fell to the floor , even Evangeline eventually fell on her knees from the share force of his energy.

It took Luna a moment to realize that she was the only one standing and quickly fell to her knees , she was an alpha too although without her wolf spirit , that was why she was able to withstand his aura. She hoped they would pass it off as her not being susceptible to his energy because she had no wolf spirit. Marcus also noted the disobedience his eyes was fixed firmly on Lauretta.

With her small form kneeling there, still pale from the effect of the poison he wondered if she had really committed all the atrocities Cressida had leveled against her, but for Cressida to act so brazen and out of character, that means she had solid evidence against Lauretta, he wanted nothing but to take Lauretta somewhere quiet and find out the truth but he dispelled such urge.

Evangeline broke the uncomfortable silence, breaking Marcus glare from Lauretta's kneeling figure, "Alpha I was just coming to your office, I have something very urgent discuss with you".
