Chapter 37: Chapter 32 That... Thy... Then... There... Tho...
James leaned against the wall. His expression was a mixture of disbelief and concern. "So you're basically telling me you signed a one page contract and called it a truce?"
The battered Su Yuan responded, "Yes." even if the contract had loopholes, there wasn't any problem.
With worry across her face, Su Yuan inquired with genuine concern, "Changing the theme, where is Thalassa? Hasn't she finished? Does she need help?"
An eerie silence filled the room, accompanied by a darkness that began to fill every part of the room.
Sensing something wrong, Su Yuan pressed on, with her concern growing. "Why aren't you talking?"
Daniel hesitated, reluctant to deliver the devastating news. After a dreadful pause, he finally spoke, "I'm sorry, but she is dead. There are only remnants of her body."
Su Yuan's world shattered, and her eyes turned blank white. Grief, like a relentless wave, pulled her into its depths. The room blurred as tears wanted to well out from her eyes, distorting the world around her.
With a trembling breath, Su Yuan silently whispered her name. "..."
But the room remained silent. The realization that she could never be with her best friend again devastated her.
Su Yuan's mind changed between disbelief and the harsh reality before her. She clutched her hands together.
As her mind became engulfed in a fog of grief, suddenly, she yelled, "THE BODY... I NEED TO SEE IT!"
Her sorrow seemed to dissipate, being replaced by a glimmer of hope. James and Daniel threw confused glances. Has she lost it? Nevertheless, they decided to accept her request.
Thalassa's room was a damaged battlefield. Some pieces of the terrain were devoured as if a black hole had passed over them, with three bodies adorning the room.
Su Yuan hurriedly got close to Thalassa's remains, and slowly, her fingers traced the edges of her metallic head.
Gradually, tears sprouted from her eyes. The cascade kept going, but she wasn't sad, contrary to what anyone would expect. She was in joy.
"I'm glad... I'm glad we will meet again," she whispered, gently collecting every piece of Thalassa.
Daniel, a bit worried, asked, "Are you fine?"
"Yes... I... We are fine," Su Yuan responded, with her tone carrying an inexplicable confidence.
James, puzzled, asked rhetorically, "We?"
In a hasty explanation, Su Yuan babbled, "It's hard to explain, but she told me that I can revive her... It's weird, but I can revive her... Probably... I've got no time, the more it passes, the fewer chances. Three days. I've got three days to save her. after that, her soul will be completely lost, and the body will be an empty machine without life."
Trying to help, Daniel asked, "Do you need help with something?"
Su Yuan responded, "No, I can handle everything. Don't worry about that."
As the gravity of the situation sank in, they remembered something: "and Dante?"
Dante had serious wounds that threatened his life. If no one did something, he should be dead already.
Daniel hurriedly asked James, "Did you give him proper treatment?"
James replied, "I used some potions, but I don't think that is enough. If your friend doesn't die, then you should buy something to help him later on."
Daniel took out the surgical equipment he had used on himself earlier. The equipment is already disinfected, so he doesn't have to worry about any bacteria. Right now, he only hopes that his medical knowledge will be enough to keep him alive.
With everything done, James proposed to stay in the place because of the rule that until all enemies have been defeated, this will not disappear. They can stay here till the end of the event.

A disorienting swirl of questions echoed in Dante's mind.
What...
Why...
When...
Where...
Who...
Slowly, anger and disappointment crept in, tangling and installing his grip upon Dante's soul. A turbulent storm of emotions raged within him. Each question echoed through the corridors of his thoughts.
Amidst this, a seed in the rubble of his mind sprouted. 'WEAK...' The word reverberated within, slowly carving its essence in his soul.
Does it matter?...
Should I even try?...
Is there a point?...
Yet nobody answered. For some reason, he expected someone to answer these questions.
As Dante grappled with these existential questions, he started to feel his body again. Someone poured a liquid into his mouth, and driven by instinct, he swallowed. He didn't know what it was. It coursed through his veins, restoring the broken parts of his body.
Every cell, every fiber, responded to him again, and the ephemeral consciousness that had barely clung to life began to work once more.
...
My eyes gradually flickered open to the light of the room. Instead of a beautiful goddess telling me I have got 'Isekaied' with a broken ability and a future harem.
I found myself surrounded by "unexpected" company. A man with a sword, a female robot, an anthropomorphic moth and an opera actor received me.
They felt awfully familiar... have I seen them before?
Suddenly, a realization struck him. Wait, why did I expect to get 'isekaied'? Did I just die? Yeah, I died... to a truck? But I was fighting... Who was I fighting... Better question
Why was I fighting?
