DxD 0041: Doing Charity Work (2/2)
After the sixth boost, Abaddon threw a full-powered punch at the ceiling of the huge mansion from midair. Instantly, the roof collapsed as Abaddon came down to the ground along with a massive amount of rubble.
”Peek-a-boo…” He said in a sing-song voice that was enhanced by his Destruction energy making even his joking tone and words sound deep. Though his heavy voice with the childish words gave a slightly comical feeling to the scene.
He heard some coughs from the side as he saw a naked woman who was half buried in the rubble. “Is she dead?” He walked over to her innocently and he poked her breast with his foot.
Just as his foot touched her, she opened her eyes with a malevolent expression, “Got you!” Suddenly, she grabbed his foot and threw him on the ground. Or at least tried. She was unable to make him even budge from his spot.
“How cute…” He smiled as he saw her try to get up. He stomped on her with a hard stomp. Though she was able to move her body to not get crushed, the same couldn’t be said for her arm that was previously holding his foot. He’d utterly crushed it from below the elbow.
She released a bellowing scream as her lower body morphed quickly. Turning into some sort of humanoid being with massive dark-furred legs similar to that of a kangaroo. The torso was similar to that of a werewolf with a lining of fur and a gemstone in the center. In place of the neck, the naked upper body of the woman extended out from the titan that was easily 10 to 15 meters tall.
“Ahh, so you became a chimera. And such a large one at that. No wonder you needed such a large house…” He nodded as his eyes brightened with a spark of understanding.
“Don’t mock me.” The stray got angry and attacked Abaddon, stomping at him with her titanic foot.
Abaddon let it stomp on him as he grabbed it with both arms, holding up the foot of the stray, “I like this new boosted strength…” He smiled excitedly as he explored his new toy’s abilities.
“Let’s try something else…” He decided.
‹I dare you to call it a toy again…›
«TRANSFER»
His 6 boost enhancement was transferred to his left arm which was covered in the gauntlet. It was much more than a 6 times multiplier. It was a stacked double multiplier that had been applied 6 times to enhance his physique in a balanced manner. It was a 64 times multiplier from his base power.
Now, he’d transferred all of that power directly to focus on his left arm as he punched out. That single punch threw the huge titan away as it collided with the wall. The leg that Abaddon had punched was practically shredded as it was bleeding all over.
«BOOST» The 7th boost had just come, doubling his power again.
‘When the voice comes out of nowhere in the middle of a fight, it’s pretty cool…’ He thought appreciatively. As a Longinus, Boosted Gear was certainly an amazing artifact.
He looked over at the stray and saw that she was back on her feet, having transformed again into what seemed like a huge wolf, though one of its legs was in a horrible shape as it bled all over.
“Let’s play, tag, shall we?” He asked rhetorically as he willed the gear to transfer again.
«TRANSFER»
His 7 times stacked boost was transferred to his aspect of speed as he felt himself get fast to an unholy degree. He made his way to the wolf before it could even react and bopped it on its nose. Just as the wolf opened its maw to bite Abaddon, he was nowhere to be seen.
Suddenly, it felt its tail being pulled as it jumped and attacked Abaddon with a growl.
Abaddon spent the next few seconds playing with the wolf a voice sounded out after a while.
«BOOST» This was his 8th boost as he felt his speed increase even more.
He was easily able to manage and read his surroundings even while moving at such an unholy speed because the boost was applied to his entire aspect of speed. That included his vision, sight, processing, and everything else along with the physical ability of his legs.
‘No wonder boosting is considered such an overpowered ability…’ He thought with an amused smile as he played with the stray devil chimera.
After being satisfied, he transferred his stacked boost again.
«TRANSFER»
This time, the 8 times stacked enhancement went to his aspect of demonic energy, making its potency reach an extreme level while the quantity also increased but marginally. This was because he focused the enhancement on the potency of his energy.
“Don’t be jealous, little stray…” He taunted as he cast multiple magic circles.
Seeing them, the wolf growled at him with reddening eyes.
“What? Regretting killing your master now that you don’t have access to magic circles?” He taunted it. A servant had to have the seal of the specific house that they were working for to be able to utilize that house’s magic circles. Once they kill their master and become a stray, they lose the recognition of that seal and it naturally dissipates, making them unable to access the magic circles of that specific house. Of course, there may be some special cases every once in a while.
Then he cast a simple wind spell, Wind Blades. What followed was a raging hurricane of wind that decimated what was left of that already destroyed mansion. Along with that, the sharp compressed gusts of wind slashed at the fur of the world with it having no ability to defend itself as it howled in pain while trying and failing to dodge the attack.
‘Pretty overpowered… considering I only used enough juice for two to three small wind blades…’ He thought as he observed the raging hurricane that decimated everything around him. Though he calmly stood in the center of it, observing everything.
«BOOST»
As the spell died down, he boosted again. That was when he heard a whimper from the wolf. Looking over, he saw that the huge wolf had collapsed on the ground, no longer breathing.
“Well, that was a bust…” He said with a cheery tone. “This has so many applications, I love it!” He was excited as if a child.
‘I can’t wait to see the effects of boost on Aether…’ He thought absently.
‹What’s Aether?› Draig asked with an interested tone. He’d never heard of this energy. He was asleep for most of the time Abaddon was with Raynare or else he would’ve asked earlier.
“I don’t exactly know. Check it out.” He showed channeled some of the stored Aether through his body. It didn’t have much effect as his body was already pretty strong and it didn’t do much for him anymore other than helping him energize himself whenever he wanted.
At this point, only the tampering of Destruction energy actually strengthened his body. The Aether only worked as an energizing source. That was why he was able to give so much of it away in a liberal manner.
Draig went silent as he studied the Aether, ‹I can’t tell what energy it is. Either this is something completely unique. Which is pretty unlikely, or some of my memories are missing and the information about this is in those memories.› Draig told him.
Abaddon shrugged as he didn’t expect much, “It’s fine. The energy works, right? Good enough. Now let’s go back to Kuoh and enjoy the embrace of my lovely Rias…” He said as with one blast of destruction energy, all traces of the battle were gone and he extended his wings out of his back before taking flight.
…
“It was a chimera.” He told Rias who was sitting in front of him on the couch sipping tea. He also had a cup of tea in his hand while his other hand was gently massaging Akeno’s head. She was resting on the couch with his lap as her pillow. She’d just come back after a contract and was resting on the couch. Both Koneko and Kiba were out for their contract tasks.
“Did you have any trouble?” Rias asked unconcernedly. She was confident in his ability.
“Of course not. I had quite a bit of fun, actually. The Boosted Gear is dope.” He told her as she looked at him while giving him the stink eye. “My servant could’ve had the Boosted Gear.” She commented.
“Don’t worry. I’m already planning on attacking that Divine Dividing guy. When he’s dead, you can take the next wielder of the gear into your peerage.” He told her his elaborate plan.
“So I have to wait centuries before I can establish my peerage completely?” Rias was not amused.
“I could always do the same thing as me and let one of your existing people take the gear. I don’t mind.” He shrugged.
“Why are you even planning on targetting that guy out of nowhere?” She asked.
“There is an eternal feud between the Red and White Dragon Emperors. That has passed on to all of their wielders as they were almost destined to be rivals.” He said.
“We’ll see about that when the time comes. For now, my priority is beating Riser.” She said looking to the side. Abaddon noticed her fist clenched as she bit her lip while feeling the stress.
“Don’t worry, Rias. He’s a small fry who won’t matter once he’s dealt with. He won’t be a recurring person in your life unless I decide that I want to take his sister for myself.” Abaddon joked.
“You’re planning on taking Ravel into your peerage?” Rias asked him.
“I mean, having a phoenix would be a godsend… I could get Phoenix tears easily every night I fuck her into oblivion.” He shrugged.
“Pfft… You’re weird, you know that?” Rias chuckled.
“I try…” He smiled gently.
