Chapter Twenty Seven
After everyone calmed down and all the screaming stopped Jaba, the three evolved Goblins, and I went inside the cave while the remaining Goblins stayed outside to continue their ever intense training.
We’re all sitting down at the center of the cave as I begin to fully expand on all the details of the various plans I have for the tribe.
This might take a while.
Also, on the way in I finally noticed that Geedi wasn’t wearing anything to cover her breasts, which is something that didn’t bother me as much as I thought it would.
Maybe it’d be wrong in human society but we’re Goblins. A couple of boobies here and there is alright with me if it’s alright with them.
Though I did tell her to try and wear something over them when she’s fighting.
I wonder if maybe she’ll want to cover them up after we have the talk though...Well, we’ll cross that bridge when we get there.
I took the liberty of looking at all three of their statuses before we began. Well this is also a good time to test out Velora’s new discern capabilities.

….
Velora..I know you said you can discern a little bit more information, but isn’t this far too big of a jump?? Now it really feels like I’m looking at a status screen in a game!
[I didn’t have a good comparison for what is a little improvement versus what is not.]
Quick show me Jaba’s!
[Understood.]
{Name - Jaba}
{Age - 3}
{Race - Hobgoblin}
{Tier 2)
{Level - 75 (1925/1950)}
{Health - 75/75}
{Strength - 57}
{Agility - 52}
{Intelligence - 48}
{Endurance - 54}
Hob..Goblin! Wow this is a great discovery! So the Tier 2 evolution of the Goblin race is called Hobgoblin while the tier 1 evolution is still called Goblin just with a high tag… so a high Goblin? Wow.. this.. This is a lot to take in.. wait show me my status as well please…
[I highly recommend checking out your status after the meeting, the group in front of you have been staring at you weirdly as you stood there with various facial expressions.]
Ah..good point.
“Ahem.. Alright so you all should now know that I want this tribe to eventually grow into a force so mighty we can only be called an empire.
We are nowhere close enough to that mark, but we will start working towards that now. Any questions about that?”
Only Geedi raised her hand to ask a question. Did Jaba teach them to raise their hands to ask questions?
“What...is...empire..?”
“Ah guess I should’ve explained that first, well think of it as a really big tribe that controls a lot of smaller tribes. Does that help?”
“Yes.”
“Alright moving on, in my mind the two most important things in the making of an empire is knowledge and strength.
You need the knowledge to be able to handle any situation properly and efficiently, but all the knowledge in the world would mean nothing in the face of absolute power.
So we have to prioritize both. Lucky for us, we have me, probably the smartest Goblin of all time if I do say so myself.
Anyway, the easiest for everyone to get smarter is to evolve, but the only way to evolve is to fight and kill other things. Horned rabbits are good for the unevolved Goblins but are too weak for us, so we’ll be extending our hunting trips further into the forest.
Hunting deeper into the forest is better for us, but it’s definitely more dangerous so only one squad at a time will venture deep into the forest. While the other two will focus on training and protecting our home.
With that being said, Geedi, Dal, and Tars. You three will now be known as squad captains and it will be your responsibility to guide, protect, and train your squad to become stronger.
The squads will also be named after you, so take pride in them.
Any questions about that?”
“No.” Said a very straightforward Geedi.
“N..nn...no..” Replied Dal in a nervous tone.
While Tars simply responded with a shake of the head.
It seems Geedi is clearly the headstrong type, while Dal is really nervous for some reason, and Tars is the cliche quiet type I guess.
[It is now 1100.]
Gotcha.
“Alright since there aren’t any questions let's move on. The first group to go hunting deeper into the forest will be the Geedi squad. I will be there as well to help in serious situations, but Geedi will be in charge of leading the squad into battle.
"Understood Geedi?”
“Yes!”
She seems really excited about this; we might have a battle maniac on our hands here.
“By the way, I’ll also follow the other squads into the forest, but I will only do so for the first time.
"Now earlier I said that horned rabbits are too weak to be our hunting priority but that doesn’t mean we should stop completely. Instead, we are going to raise them as a stable food source for the tribe.
"We’re going to hold off on that, though, since I don’t actually know how to tame and safely raise rabbits that dash, jump, and have pointy weapons on their foreheads.
"So don’t even worry about that too much as of yet.
"Apart from taming the rabbits, we will also try our hand in blacksmithing at some point, though again don’t worry about this too much for now as I still need to figure this one out myself.
"One more thing, guard duty for the cave entrance, and the path that leads deeper into the cave from where the stone golems came from will be taken care of by the two squads that remain home.
"Any more questions?”
“Yes, I have one.”
“Oh Jaba, what is it?”
“If they’re squad captains, what am I?”
Is Jaba worried about his position or something? Even though he could easily still be the Leader right now. That's kinda funny actually, but what do I actually give him...
He is still a Leader in this tribe and will continue to be so even if I’m the overall Leader. I’m pretty sure he knows that though, so I guess he wants a title to go with it?
“Jaba you're the squad leader. You're in charge of the squad captains and the overall state of all three squads within the tribe.
"While the squad captains are in charge of training their own squads, it’s your responsibility to train the captains themselves.
Since the entirety of the tribe is being placed into the different squads you are responsible for the well-being of every tribe member along with me.”
“Understood!”
I guess that response means he likes it? Well, it is true that having a title is a good feeling. I’d be lying if I said being the Leader of the whole tribe didn’t feel good.
I guess now it’s time for the talk…
