Book 3: Chapter 9 (6/9)
Anwyn calmed herself down and angrily yelled at Kain for daring to ask her such a stupid question, “Disgusting human, you better watch your tongue when speaking to me. I haven’t exposed all of my power yet. That Demigod won’t stand a chance against my true power if I take the fight seriously.”
“Whatever. Finwe, find a good chance and help Anwyn defeat that Demigod God Mage."
Finwe was about to accept, but Anwyn angrily stared at him and stated, "If you dare interfere with my battle, I will end you, you disgusting bird!"
Finwe turned his head to look at Kain and said, "She said no."
Kain shook his head in distress and said, "Alright, don't interfere with her battle against the Demigod. Finwe, Noe Clerico seems to know about Delusion Magic. It would be much harder to have you defeat him now. I will fight with Noe Clerico one versus one, you can go assist Kimaris and other Demon Lords for now while continuing to find a better chance to assassinate him. Okay?"
Finwe nodded his head in acknowledgment and asked, “Kain, just in case I can't find another chance to have Noe fallen into my [Duplicity] spell, do you have any other plan to defeat him?”
“I think I do. The [Unlimited Life] spell Noe created seems to have a fatal flaw as you could see it revived him but didn’t heal his injuries earlier. I still can’t figure out how it works, but the more I fight him, the better understanding I may have of how that magic spell works. As I have said many times before, no one is truly immortal, not even the Watchers.”
While Kain was busy planning how to defeat Noe Clerico with Finwe, Noe patiently allowed the Celestial Angels to fully heal his injuries and confidently thought to himself, “Even though I was forced to use [Second Life] spell earlier than expected, but I have more than a hundred LYAUR in my Storage Ring. Each LYAUR either contained a level 100 Magical Creature, a powerful Magical Beast that possessed strength on par with Eleventh Stage Saint Warrior, a Sixteen Wings Angel Warrior, or a mighty Demon Warrior of the Thirteenth Gate. Even if the Devil Overlord can somehow defeat my Demigod God Mage and you anyhow manage to cause my mana pool to reach depletion, then those creatures will surely protect me long enough until I fully recover it. It doesn’t matter what you have planned. You will never win, Kain Bersk. Like all the fairy tales the storytellers kept on telling to the kids. Evil will always fall, and the good always triumphs at the end.”
Noe remembered his childhood time and how he was looked down on by classmates during the time he attended the Mages Academy because he possessed a Conjurer Soul, the weakest Elemental Soul among all other Elemental Souls. If it wasn't because Noe graduated from the Mages Academy as a level 35 Legend-tier Conjurer Mage at the age of thirty, then the Mages Council would never even bother to even recruit him to join the Gray. That was why Noe carefully recruited potential candidates such as Kain Bersk and Arthur Castillon to join the Gray before they graduated from the Mages Academy to show how much he appreciated their talents.
After the Celestial Angels finished healing Noe, he confidently whispered to himself, “It's so fun watching Kain Bersk trying to kill me. In the end, he will realize that I can't be killed. I have to admit that Kain alone is much more powerful than the pathetic Champions of the Mages Council. However, too bad that his opponent is me. I have been and always will be undefeated. Kain Bersk, if only if you weren't a Blood Mage, perhaps you can replace me as the next Lord of the Gray after I travel to the higher realms as a God Mage. It is a shame that a talented Conjurer Mage like yourself has to die. But no worry though. You will have the chance to fight alongside me in the higher realms as my strongest minion. I will allow you to keep your personality and memory to make sure you can serve me to the best of your ability.”
While it was much easier to collect strong creatures by trapping them inside LYAUR, those creatures couldn't be conjured back over and over like conjurable creatures Noe has bound to his self-created Saint-tier Conjuration Magic spells. The moment the creatures trapped inside LYAUR dies, they will be transported back to the realms where they came from. Once a day, Noe could use a large chunk of his mana pool and conjure a unique creature then trapped them inside one of his LYAUR. Because it was much harder to encounter unique powerful creatures using Soul Travel ability, as known as [Astral Projection] spell due to limited time of fifteen minutes daily.
Seeing Lazela appear to fight with Lucas, Brandis Hayward couldn't stand idly by. There was nothing Brandis wanted more than killing Lazela in the most painful way possible. Noticing his son start reaching for a weapon, Pope Alain Hayward placed his left hand on Brandis’s right shoulder and whispered into his right ear, “Son, I will end you if you dare to take any action.”
Brandis immediately snapped out of his anger and quietly whispered back, “Father, I’m sorry. It won’t happen again.”
“One day we will find her and get back our thing. But that day is not today, understand?”
“Yes, father.”
After getting closer to Noe, black-hair Kain took out the Soul-Bound Magical Diamond Ice Spear while delivering powerful kicks toward Noe as he was flying three feet above the ground and Noe was standing solid on the ground. Noe used his fists to block and then punched Kain back thinking Kain wanted to have a physical fight with him. Kain thrust his spear toward Noe's heart while activating [Bloodlust] spell and completely drained a blood pool in one of his Magical Blood Equipment then casted [Magic Annulment] spell. This was to make sure there was no way Noe could have prevented Kain's [Magic Annulment] spell from taking effect through increasing his Magical Resistance rate.
The spear thrust deep into Noe’s heart, followed by three powerful kicks from Kain to force the spear to go deeper and deeper and went through Noe’s heart.
Feeling the pain from Kain's spear penetrated through his heart, Noe smiled and said, “What’s the point of killing me when I can just revive myself limitless? Haven't you learned that it is impossible to kill me? Ten times? A hundred times? No, you have killed me over ten thousand times before and the result will always be the same. I could have easily dodged your attacks but I decided to allow you to succeed. I just want to let you know how pointless it is to kill me over and over again.”
Kain smirked and said, “Yeah yeah… Good luck with that.”
Noe realized something was wrong, he surprisingly asked, “What did you do? How did you prevent me from casting magic?”
"Aren't you the almighty immortal bullshit? Just die, you bastard!”
