Book 3: Chapter 10 (7/10)
Gisella Renzo was killed two times by Anwyn Richir and conjured back to the battlefield that was one of the reasons why Noe’s mana pool was reaching depletion faster than usual due to the seventy-two hours penalty of conjuring the Soul-bound Creature back. However, Gisella finally killed Anwyn for the very first time when she was conjured back to the battlefield for the third time but Kain also conjured Anwyn back to the battlefield immediately right after that in exchange for eighty percent of his mana pool. Kain wasn’t gaining much advantage either because he doesn’t have much Blood Equipment left to use. Kain needed to kill Noe before he ran out of energy sources or it would be his defeat.
Another three hours passed. Kain’s Ancient Vampires could no longer revive themselves from the battlefield as his [Blood Extricate] spell was deactivated to reserve the rest of his blood pools. Unlike regular vampires, Ancient Vampires don’t require active [Blood Extricate] spells to maintain their presence after being summoned. Despite that, Noe appeared to be not conjuring any more creatures which meant he wanted to reserve the remainder of his mana pool to focus only on reviving his minions. It appeared that everything was working well in Kain’s favor. Everyone was thinking Kain was having the upper hand including Kain himself, which was quickly changed when Noe commanded Lucas to reveal his true power.
Because the demon armies and their Demon Generals were defeated while only the Demon Lords remain, Lucas no longer has to send nearly all of his evil spirits to fight with the demon army of the Thirteenth Gate. Nevertheless, Lucas was also exhausted and could no longer summon as many evil spirits as he could have when his energy was at full state. Quick resolution to this was to kill himself then revive using the [Reanimate] spell connected to Noe’s mana pool and Lucas did so to instantly recharge his energy.
This was the first time Lucas ever used Noe’s [Reanimate] spell to refill his energy ever since he became Noe’s minion. Lucas experienced mixed feelings and considered it was a defeat for him since he always praised himself to be exceptionally stronger comparing the minions that Noe had in the Dark Vortexes. Dying was considered a shame for Lucas despite if it was suiciding or killing himself. After instantly revived himself from the suicide, Lucas flew away from Kimaris and headed straight toward Anwyn Richir, the Devil Overlord. No one knew what he was planning because if Lucas couldn’t kill Kimaris, how could he ever have the chance to defeat the most powerful magic caster in the lower realms such as Anwyn?
Noe’s secret weapon wasn’t his [Unlimited Life] spell, [Substitution] spell, or his Soul-bound Creature, the Demigod God-tier Ice Mage, Gisella Renzo. But it was Lucas, the final boss of the Timeless Dungeon that Noe has killed and converted into one of his minions after killing him. Lucas alone wasn’t very special. Yet when combining with Noe’s Necromancer Magic, he advanced to an entirely different level. When Lucas first walked out of the Dark Vortex, he called Devil-Kain ‘trash’ because he truly meant that.
Lucas’s true power not only relies on summoning evil spirits but the ability to greatly magnify his physical strength by ingesting the evil spirits within him. If Lucas ingested all the evil spirits that he could summon, it would temporarily boost his physical strength to a thousand times stronger which is strong enough to kill any strong Devil Warrior such as Evienne Lucifuge in one attack. The bad thing about ingesting all of his evil spirits was Lucas wouldn't be able to fly or enhance his physical strength in any way until all of his evil spirits were regenerated. In a simple way to explain this, Lucas then became a regular Eleventh Stage Saint Warrior that could be killed if fighting with a level 100 magic caster.
Kain, Devil-Kain, and Finwe raised their guard up but Anwyn was just laughing at Lucas because she believed his attack would be like a mosquito bite on her impressive defense against both physical attacks and magic spells. Anwyn and Gisella were still fighting with the odds of victory definitely leaning toward Anwyn as she was about to kill Gisella for the third time. Not just Anwyn, but Gisella had no idea how powerful Lucas was and got a little upset wondering why Noe dared to send a mere mortal to interfere in the battle between two God-tiers. Anwyn Richir wasn't a God-tier, but her magical power has far exceeded a new God-tier magic caster such as Gisella Renzo. That was why Gisella had no problem referring Anwyn to God-tier.
Lucas was flying by using eight evil spirits to carry him which made his flying speed even slower compared to the [Wind Walk] spell. Anwyn could have easily avoided Lucas if she wanted to but her ignorance wouldn't allow her to run away from such a mosquito. Arriving in the rear of Anwyn, Lucas suddenly released a powerful aura containing both black and white colors. Anwyn continued to pay no attention toward the little mosquito Lucas as she was busy casting another colossal fireball toward Gisella who was struggling to chant for a God-tier Ice Magic spell to block it.
By the time Anwyn finished casting a colossal fireball toward Gisella, the eight evil spirits that were helping Lucas fly also became part of Lucas’s aura as he delivered a powerful sword slash into the back of Anwyn's head. Due to ingesting all of the evil spirits within him, Lucas became extremely weak and could no longer fly. He fell to the ground from the sky of five hundred feet above the ground and broke his neck. Lucas didn't die so he used one of his swords to stab himself in the head which resulted in his death shortly after that. That was how Lucas died for the second time ever since became Noe's minion. Lucas instantly revived himself again using the [Reanimate] spell.
After regaining his health and energy, Lucas looked up and saw Anwyn was still flying five hundred feet above the ground and thought to himself, “Did she really survive against my most powerful attack? Who am I kidding? She is a Devil Overlord after all. No surprise when my strongest attack couldn’t kill her. I will attack her again after ingesting all of my evil spirits. If she can survive the second time, that is when I will be freaking out and questioning my real ability.”
