I would love to say I haven't been moping, but….

"Y/n, are you really okay?" Emma asked with a concerned look in her eyes.

She's been coming over the past few days, and didn't ask why I said only she could come. Though I am sure she is very curious.

I did my best to fake a smile and gave a small nod. "Yeah, I'm fine. Just having a lot of…heart issues."

I have never been a good liar, but this isn't a lie. I am fine. Physically, I am healthy.

She raised an eyebrow while giving me the most intense stare down known to man before letting out a deep sigh.

"It's about Mikey, isn't it?"

The question came out as almost a whisper, but I heard it loud and clear. The mention of his name made the last time I saw him sprint to the front of my thoughts. I didn't even realize I was crying.

"I'm sorry." I said in between hiccups. "He's your brother, I know it. I'm so sorry. I'm such an idiot.." At this point, I could barely breathe with how hard I'm sobbing.

Everything hurts. I'm such an idiot. I don't even blame him for not loving me back, but I really hoped…

Emma suddenly wrapped her arms around me and began rubbing my back.

"Draken was right." She said after I calmed down a little.

She pulled away and gave me a smile. "You are both idiots."

I couldn't help but laugh at this comment. I'm sobbing like a baby and my bestie is calling me an idiot. I wiped my eyes and shrugged.

"You know what you need?" The immediate sound of excitement from her at this moment had me feeling very cautious.

"You should come to the festival! It'll be so much fun and maybe you can talk to Mikey, too!"

"NO!" I practically yelled.

Her shoulders dropped and I immediately felt guilty.

Even though I know he won't be there, I feel like I would be taking his best friend and his sister away. That's exactly why I haven't said what happened to anyone. Not that I have anyone else really. Even with how much my heart hurts, I don't want to turn those he loves and depends on against him.

I guess Emma could see my look of defeat, because she suddenly clapped her hands together and began talking about what we could wear. She even said Hina would be there, and I had to act more shocked, but I know she could tell. I think she thought it was just because I was still sad.

Emma's POV

Since Mikey screwed this up, I am gonna make them talk. I don't know what happened, but every time I mention Y/n to Mikey, his eyes go into a look of despair before he changes the subject. I finally managed to bring up Mikey to Y/n, and she burst into tears!

I don't know what happened, but I'M FIXING IT!

Y/n POV

Emma managed to put together something for me that was very….um…bright.

How am I supposed to help when Draken gets attacked if I have this thing on!? I couldn't hide from a freaking flea!!!!

I made my way to the festival with Emma talking very excitedly about everything. And by everything, I mean Draken.

I was more than happy to listen to her and it actually made me feel much better being around someone to distract me from my own sadness.

We got there and met up with Draken, Hina, and Takemitchy.

"Mikey got called away." Draken explained.

Takemitchy gave a hard nod and I just nodded and looked down at my feet.

"He wanted to be here."

My eyes shot up to meet Draken's. He just stared at me like he was trying to tell me Mikey wanted to be here for me.

I nodded again without answering, knowing I'd burst into tears if I tried.

After taking several big breaths, I began walking at a slow pace behind the two groups. I tried anyway.

"You're Y/n, right?" Takemitchy's question threw me for a loop. We for sure haven't talked a lot and I am sure I never actually introduced myself.

I gave a small smile and nodded.

"Do you happen to know someone named Kisaki?"

That name made my blood run cold and I could tell by the look on Takemitchys' face that he could see I didn't like even the mentioning of this jerk.

Before Takemitchy could ask me anything else, Hina spoke up, obviously irritated with Takemitchy.

"Takemitchy.." She muttered with a death glare thrown his way.

I couldn't help but want to laugh at this. Hina is adorable.

"Takemitchy was just asking me if I knew some jerk. I've heard lots about you! He is always really proud to have you as his girlfriend." I said with a light smile.

This seemed to completely relax Hina and Takemitchy. I walked behind both couples as slowly as possible. I know what's supposed to happen, and yes, maybe I should stick close.

However, Emma and Hina, they need this time with the ones they love. I don't want to get in the way of that.

I walked and gazed at everything around me. So many stalls. So many games. So much FOOD. Honestly, this kind of festival should be every weekend just for eating alone!

I walked past a dorayaki stand and hesitated, instantly thinking of Mikey. I let out a deep sigh wondering if maybe I was a little unfair.

As I began to think about it, I saw movement out of the corner of my eye. Just beyond the trees. I looked in the general direction and began to make my way toward the sight. I was almost in the trees when I stopped and looked back. I don't even see Emma or Hina anymore and now it's starting to rain.

Maybe I should go get someone.

Who could I get without sounding like a crazy person when I mention it might be someone trying to kill Draken?

I decided investigating would be my best option since I'm already here. I pushed my way through branches as quietly as possible.

I hadn't gone very far, but didn't see anything.

Maybe I should head back.

A strong smell of smoke suddenly filled my nostrils. I turned toward the scent and was greeted by immediate pain before falling unconscious.
