The Villainous Family Loves Me Too Much!

Chapter 0

In the reception room of Emperor Motias, usually filled with the laughter of guests, a chilly silence flowed. This was because an unwelcome guest had arrived, one who was not at all pleasing to the Emperor.

“The tea will get cold, Your Majesty.”

With shining red eyes and brilliant silver-gray hair, a handsome man, emitting a dangerous aura contrasting with his fair and beautiful face, softly murmured with a smile.

He was stunningly beautiful, enough to captivate all men, women, old and young of the Empire, but his smile had a deadly power that made everyone who saw it tremble in fear.

That was the power of the ‘demonic eyes’ that Archduke Felosite was born with.

‘The Emperor of the Great Castien Empire can’t be defeated by such demonic eyes.’

Though fear began to creep into his heart, the Emperor didn’t avert his gaze from the Archduke.

The Archduke, for his part, seemed to have no knowledge of deference and didn’t avoid the Emperor’s authoritative gaze.

‘An uncouth fellow who knows no manners.’

While gazing directly at the Emperor, the Archduke elegantly sipped his tea, his expression unchanged.

Thus, the two glared at each other silently, and the Emperor’s closest ministers anxiously watched, wondering what would happen next.

Breaking the tense silence, it was the Emperor who spoke first.

“You arrogant brat.”

“Ah, that’s something even my grandfather often says. I’m quite used to it.”

The Archduke brushed off the Emperor’s insult with nonchalance.

‘That young rascal!’

The Archduke’s calm indifference further provoked the Emperor’s pride.

Every movement of this noble young successor of Felosite, once a kingdom before the merger, exuded dignity.

Perhaps because of this, the Emperor found the Archduke even more distasteful.

“…How dare a mere Felosite look down upon our precious princess?”

“Didn’t you just say she wasn’t a princess? You even seemed ready to execute her, didn’t you, Your Majesty?”

“…”

With his calm rhetoric and a blow to his pride, this was a clear defeat for the Emperor.

The Emperor’s clenched fist trembled with excitement, and he looked ready to throw a punch any moment.

The Archduke casually put down his tea cup, delivering the final blow.

“Let me be blunt. Give me the discarded princess. It should be fine for you to let someone take what you’ve thrown away, right?”

The tension between the Archduke and the Emperor made even the surrounding air grow cold.

“I didn’t discard her. The princess will remain in history as a princess of this Empire. But she committed a petty and brutal crime that tarnished the honor of the imperial family. According to the Empire’s law, the right punishment for her crime is death.”

“But isn’t it a waste? The next ‘Power of Light’ will require waiting at least 100 years. As you know, the ‘Power of Light’ is the most powerful gift given to the imperial family.”

“What exactly are you up to? I doubt you’re thinking for the benefit of this Empire.”

With a sarcastic and cautious tone from the Emperor, the Archduke replied with a smirk.

“I simply want to seize the opportunity in front of me. As you said, when else would a lowly Felosite like me get a chance to be the son-in-law of the Emperor?”
