I can tank the mantis' attacks with my body. Point is in close range fight I'd probably be better with something else.

Strong pugilists in stories are mostly combat junkies. You know with heaven defying combat sense.

Usually with the nickname of combat god or something.

I'd say because of 2 main reasons.

1) The ability to avoid damage (I don't care about that one at all).

2) The ability to combo moves. (I have no fucking confidence in that area)

If there is one thing, I've figured out with divine power is that intent is all.
