The Night Sun

Chapter 47: Midnight Celebration

Chapter 47

No One stepped out of the gaming pod.

Everything felt like a dream.

Running through the Sea of Flames.

Unlocking the Hidden Storyline.

Unlocking level 79 and the new features.

He intended to immediately learn about the new skill system, but it required meeting with the faction leader.

The Heavenly Demon In Black was occupied with other matters at the moment.

He had no choice but to go outside and wait for information about this feature to be posted on the forums.

Other faction leaders were probably in a panic, swamped by players demanding to learn new skills.

It was already past 10 o'clock.

His stomach growled.

No One put on a jacket and headed to the food street to meet Hau Hau Noodle.

If he doesn't give me a bowl of noodles with full toppings for free now, then when?

I just ran through flames, damnit !

He giggle himself.

The whole Moonlight Clan was celebrating, from the outside in. The world chat was filled with lines of praise.

The clan chat was even more explosive.

Lady Lam was handing out lucky money continuously all evening.

More than 40 minutes had passed as No One walked and kept tapping his phone to receive the lucky money, his thumb are really tired.

It's unbelievable, hasn't it ended yet?

As he walked, No One kept tapping away until suddenly, a new message notification appeared.

【Interview Invitation from NTNews】

NTNews is a famous news channel in the First World.Following that were invitations from many other parties.

The honor of the first achievers was starting to come.

No One decided to ignore them for now.

Lady Lam and many others from the guild also received similar invitations.

Lady Lam, in particular, doesn't even dare to open her mailbox anymore, It is completely overwhelmed by the number of emails.

On his way, No One leisurely messaged and joined in the lively discussions with everyone in the clan.

It was rare for everyone to be so cheerful together.

No One slid into the food street, noticing that Hau Hau Noodle's shop was unusually crowded.

"I told you! You kept it too well, no one knew! Who would've thought our Hau Hau belonged to the Moonlight Clan, seeing you on the livestream was shocking!"

An older man laughed heartily, patting Hau Hau Noodle, who was busy frying noodles, on the shoulder.

The tables at the shop were packed with people chatting and laughing.

"Owner, one order of noodles, please."

No One, wearing a black mask, went unnoticed by everyone else.

But Hau Hau Noodle, of course, recognized him and smiled cheerfully.

"Welcome, you're here for the free stuff, aren't you?"

"Of course, of course. But not the best time to talk now; I'll drop by another time." No One chuckled happily.

With too many people present and not being fond of crowds, No One decided to leave quietly.

Stepping outside, No One called Sword of Love.

"Hey, are you asleep yet?"

"Sleeping? How could I? I'm running around the shop carrying Hana!!" Sword of Love laughed heartily.

"No One!!! Please tell him to put me down!!!" Hana shouted.

"At Hau Hau Noodle's shop now, should I buy something for you?"

"Eat! We need to eat! Get two portions! Hana and I are starving!"

After saying goodbye, No One hung up the phone.

"Make it three portions!"

"You eatin alot today huh ? sure thing !" Hau Hau Noodle cheerfully continued frying noodles.

Soon enough, he slipped over to the antique shop.

All around, the news was buzzing about the Sea of Flames event.

Seeing his face on the big screen made him feel a little shy.

As he walked, he overheard some people happily discussing the event.

No One simply opened the door to the shop.

"The noodles are here, the noodles are here!"

As soon as Sword of Love saw him, he laughed.

He rushed over and playfully punched him in the stomach.

"You dog, how dare you stole the spotlight from your daddy."

"You're still just a noob you asshole." No One laughed heartily.

Hana happily laughed, bringing out a table and chairs.

They couldn't eat inside the shop; they'd get scolded by grandma.

The three of them sat down and ate, fooling around and laughing joyously.

"It's frustrating, you took all the spotlight, and now all the girls on social media and forums are crazy about you!"

"Check this out!"

Sword of Love showed his phone to No One.

A short clip, edited from the videos everyone took during the event earlier.

How could it be out so fast? The video clip naturally featured images of No One running through the sea of flames.

The scene then shifted to the image of the Heavenly Demon in Black singing, along with his heroic line.

"JUST ONE MORE STEP!"

"IMMORTAL BLADE! YOU BETTER TREAT MY DEAR MASTER WEL!!!"

No One blushed deeply.

"T-Turn it off, turn it off right now."

Sword of Love laughed, replaying that part over and over.

"What's the matter ? you speak so clearly then, but now you're embarrassed?"

Hana joined in the laughter.

"It's okay, Brother No One, you sounded really cool."

No One's face turned even redder.

Damn it, he got too carried away at the time and ended up saying some overly dramatic lines that sounded almost like something from a shounen anime.

Suddenly, all three of their phones rang.

Lady Lam started a group call.

"Can't sleep my dear Clan Leader?" Sword of Love spoke up.

"Hello, Sister!" Hana cheerfully greeted.

"Yo, Clan Leader!" No One chimed in.

"Oh? You've all gathered to celebrate already, huh?" Lady Lam laughed.

"I was just passing by Hau Hau's shop and brought three portions to have a late-night snack with them."

"Quite bold of you, holding a little celebration on your own. Are you free in a few days? Let's arrange an offline meeting for the Moonlight Clan."

"Really?"Your treat?" Sword of Love asked while slurping his noodles.

"Have I ever let you spend a dime when eating with me? Honestly, you're a baby that being treat the whole time." Lady Lam chuckle.

"Ha ha, yes yes, please continue to sponsor me, wealthy madam!"

"So, where will it be?" No One asked.

"I'm flexible. I'll post a poll for the location in the clan chat shortly. Go there and choose your preferred place."

"Got it!" all three said in unison.

"Alright then, I have to call some other people."

Lady Lam hung up the call.

The three of them continued to celebrate.

DMG Headquarters.

A midnight meeting was taking place.

Director Minh was rubbing his forehead, but there was still a smile on his face.

"I never imagined this scenario. Running through the Sea of Flames, it's insane."

"Unexpected, but it's really fun! The exciting part about a First World is not knowing what will happen," Tofu said joyfully.

"I don't get why you two are smiling. He messed up the entire update plan, and now we definitely have a lot more work to do," Snow Vixen sighed.

"What's there to worry about? Mostly it's just about launching the main storyline and a few features a bit early. The update schedule can still proceed as normal," Tofu said while tapping on his phone.

"You too!""You're not even punishing those who messed up our plans, and yet you support them?" Snow Vixen said, visibly irritated.

"Blame yourself for caving in to player complaints and forcing me to buff the Musician & Bard! Happy now?" Tofu teased, glancing at her.

"Why punish, what did they do wrong? All they did is exactly what we wanted, they played the game." Tofu retorted, glaring at her.

Director Minh remained the voice of reason.

Then he thought for a moment.

"Snow Vixen, I have a task for you, of course with overtime pay."

"Overtime pay!? Sure, what is it? Please go ahead and tell me." Snow Vixen turned to look at the director, her eyes lighting up.

Director Minh smiled happily. Snow Vixen was always very eager when it came to overtime.

"You haven't played First World much, have you? I know this isn't your main job, but if possible, I'd like you to experience the game. It's important for your work. You need to understand what you're working on to do it well."

Snow Vixen was skeptical.

Her job was primarily administrative, and she rarely played the game. Her account was still at the novice village.

But the director was right; gaining more insights into the game would be beneficial for planning future events.

And especially, she could earn overtime pay!

"Alright! But you have to cover all the machine room costs and top up for me!"

"Top up too!?" Director Minh was surprised.

"Why not?""How am I supposed to experience the entire First World without spending money? Or did you expect me to use my hard-earned money to pay back to the company?" Snow Vixen jokingly tease the boss.

"Fine ! There will be some game currency sent to you to make it easier for you to experience the game." Director Minh laughed.

The meeting concluded after a while, mainly discussing changes to the game's roadmap.

Finally, before leaving, Director Minh had some additional advice for Snow Vixen.

"Oh, by the way, even though you're a DMG employee, I recommend you limit your participation in events and activities that could affect the main storyline and roadmap. It would be qui6te troublesome with the media if they think we're using you to provoke or disrupt the game community."

"Yes, sir." Snow Vixen nodded.
