The Married Life Of Immortals

Chapter 14: Understanding Escapes Even a God

The sun was shining bright over the Village of Heroes as Bane, Nina, and Lysia walked through the village after making their order. The entire village had been repaired, and the people had finally returned after being informed that the two greatest powers had stopped fighting with each other.

As the trio walked through the village towards the Training Hall, Bane wore a complicated look on his face as he tried to think of the best way to broach the subject of the three women he had met while in the demon world.

The problem was that he was pretty sure that Lysia would not only try to kill them, but Nina as well if she found out. Bane knew little about the Terms Tsundere and Yandere, but he just knew in his heart that both women were at least a little bit like that. He had no doubt in his mind that if he said anything, they would all die by the hands of his wives.

"Something wrong?" Lysia asked, looking up at him with her beautiful green eyes.

"Nope, I was just thinking about how beautiful my two wives are. If I had a third arm I would be hugging you both right now," Bane lied, making Lysia smile and Nina look away with a blush on her face. Nothing about this situation felt right to him, but Bane also felt that if he did something to upset either woman, his life would be far worse than if he just kept his mouth shut for once.

'Why do I need more than one wife? Why am I not allowed to love just one person at a time? Is it because of my genetics? Is it because I am portrayed as some kind of hero? Is this the type of thing that should be addressed in society, or is it just not a big deal to anyone other than me?' Bane wondered as he followed the two women.

Everything about the current situation caused alarm bells to go off in Bane's mind. Both Lysia and Nina were acting loving and submissive, two things that neither of them ever did. It was like the moment they became wives, their personalities had changed to the point that Bane didn't know who they were anymore.

'Is it because I never got married before? Am I not supposed to know what it means to be a husband? But they have been with me this whole time, yet, they suddenly don't feel like the same women that have been literally torturing me with their training? How can both of them just act like this is normal?' Bane continued to think as they approached the main gates of the training hall.

"Master!" A voice shouted, and Bane looked up to see Morgana standing there, wearing her usual black dress that hugged her body tightly.

"Hello, Morgana," Bane said as he waved at the sorceress. "What are you doing here? And what is with the title? Am I not the one that is learning from you?"

Morgana bowed deeply to Bane. This caused a frown to form on his face that only grew as someone he considered his master and also the lover to one of his best friends in this world seemed to refuse to move from her position.

"I heard that you returned, and wanted to congratulate you on your victories. Also, I can clearly feel the difference in you. Even if you can't cast magic, I can feel that you have far surpassed me. Someone like you should be honored and respected," She said, but Bane shook his head.

"Stand up, you are my teacher, and my master, I don't want any of this honor crap. There are plenty of people around here who deserve that type of recognition. All I need is for you to teach me about the magic that I don't know yet," Bane said, and Morgana stood up.

"As you wish, but I still stand by what I said. You have earned my respect and admiration, even if you are a bit different from other men," Morgana said, and Bane frowned at her.

"How so? Don't tell me being an asshole is considered a quality in this world?" Bane asked, and both Lysia and Nina hit him upside the back of the head.

"It is more like how you treat other women, and how you try to act like you don't care, but clearly do," Morgana said, and then smiled at Bane. "But I will still share my knowledge with you, but I honestly think that you are at a point where you can teach me more than I you."

"Why is that?" Bane asked, and Morgana shrugged.

"Mages can feel a certain level of profoundness from other mages that are much more advanced in their understanding of magic and all of its components. If I am reading you correctly, you were even able to create new magic while you were away, yes?" Morgana asked, and Bane nodded.

"I was able to create a spell that allowed me to turn a crystal structure that was infinitely sharp into bead-like particles that can be absorbed without destroying the body. I also got a good hold on creating multiple of the same spell and compressing them, editing, and adding new runes to the existing spell circles. I haven't tried it with array's yet, but I feel like I should study more on them before I try any hokey pokey shit like that," Bane explained causally, but then frowned at the three women. "What the hell is wrong with you lot? You look like you are looking at an alien."

All three women shook their heads as if they were trying to shake off the shock that they had just heard Bane talk about creating magic like it was nothing.

"Do you not understand how insane the words that just came out of your mouth are?" Lysia growled, but Bane just lifted his eyebrow.

"Onyx said that it was pretty impressive... Bah, it's just some basic shit I figured out. Granted no one else has a super computer in their head to process everything, I can understand why you all look like fish, but I am in the infantile stages of what I will have to become in the future. While I may seem like a monster, I am still relying on all of you to teach me what I need to know, and the lessons. Even if I am strong, I will hold back so you all don't get hurt. No need for all of this bowing and scraping shit," Bane said, and looked at Morgana. "Are you going to teach me what you know, or do I need to go find a place to learn from another mage?"

Morgana opened her mouth to say something, but then stopped and turned her head. Bane watched as she seemed to focus on something, and then smiled.

"You don't have to look for anyone else to teach you. Ezio might be sore from Lysia torment, but he is still glad that you are back. If there is more that I can teach you, then I am honored to do so," Morgana said, and then bowed.

Bane smiled, and reached out to pat Morgana on the shoulder. He knew that she was not only a teacher, but also his friend's lover.

"Alright then. Is there anything else you wanted to say?" Bane asked, but Morgana shook her head.

"Just wanted to see the changes you had undergone. Ezio said that he would be taking a few days rest before you will see him, but he wants to ask if you can train him to get stronger. I am sure that it would take him nearly a year to ask himself, just like how he might not have ever told me his true feelings if not for you," Morgana said with a smile, and Bane snorted, rubbing the back of his head.

"Yeah, I will figure something out, but most of the training will be on him. I need the wuss to be stronger so we can spar more often. I brought two guys back from the demon world, so he can train with them," Bane said, but then suddenly found himself pinned to the side of the Training Hall by two different female hands.

"Two Males? Is that all?" Lysia asked in a dangerous voice with her hair flaring around her head, radiating rainbow colored mana.

"Did you drag anything else back with you from the Demon World? Maybe some females?" Nina growled in a low and dangerous voice as her silver spear appeared in the free hand that wasn't being used to pin Bane to the wall.

'Oh yes, this is going exactly how I thought it might,' Bane groaned internally, and Eve snickered.

'This is one of the 732 ways this conversation could go wrong, out of the 3 ways it could go right. Odds were stacked against you, and I have to say this isn't instant death, so you are doing better than at least 545 of the ways where one of them just killed you. I think you should count your blessings,' Eve laughed, and Bane mentally rolled his eyes.

"Well? Did you? Or should we just go there and find them ourselves?" Lysia demanded, and Bane lifted his hands to show that he was surrendering.
