The Journey To Find The New Golden Emperor

CHAPTER 147 **Slow Change in Leadership**

“Sarina, are you already eager to think of the throne, even before the emperor is even sitting there?”

Now it was Sarina’s turn to frown, “No…I wasn’t thinking…”

Sahara interrupted, “Sure you weren’t. Listen, a child is exactly that…A child. It requires love and support, teaching…A child shouldn’t be made just to have as an heir, as something you can use. Actually, if you do your job as a mother, your child may tend to end up being what you want in the end anyway, you know…Like the next King or an adorable Princess who helps take care of her people. They will only be a better King or Princess, because they were taught and treated sincerely…Please don’t let your status make you fail as a mother!”

Sahara didn’t say that for no reason, it was only because of what Sarina had been thinking. She was sure that children being brought up in love and support, may not necessarily end up the way you want them…But, for Sarina’s case, it seemed harsh to diss a child, just because it was female…Sahara really hoped that the child will be loved as it should be…

…This was why Sahara always hated the ancient era’s! If an Empress was to bare a girl and have no boy, they are insecure and lose part of themselves to making sure that they never lose their status and whatnot…

Sahara vowed to never become a mother like that! She desperately wants to love her children and treat them properly!

Sarina let out a huff and sat up further, smelling food…Which was directly coming towards her…Oh, it was a lovely sight indeed!

Originally, being talked to like that had irritated her and she had wanted to retaliate but…Right now, food was more important!

Sahara got up then and worried that her words had not even been thought about at all. Yet, at the same time, Sahara did feel like she was still in a ‘boss’ type attitude and hoped that it would calm down soon. For months she had always done the best she could at giving advice and working for many, it had been a while that she could stay out of people’s business!

Even thinking of it now, what did it really matter if she said these words or not? It really doesn’t have much to do with her…

But, with her ‘bossy’ type attitude still ongoing, this Sarina seemed to be a materialistic girl, even though she had been a part of the fall of Purple Haven and went through some harsh times.

Seeing that Sarina had wanted a safe place and the Prince’s love, and the fact that she now has them, it seemed that she was wanting more and more, as the time went on…

Sighing, Sahara then moved away and then spoke, “I will then let you eat, I just thought I’d see how you were doing.”

Princess Sarina smiled at her and her happiness of being able to eat was showing immensely, “Thank you very much, Princess Sahara, I don’t know what you did, but thank you!”

Sahara turned and sighed once again, guessing that it might be her fate to have a daughter, because of the way she feels for things. Advice is all someone can do, if they choose not to listen or at least think about it, then that was her choice…

People who are ungrateful for what they already have seemed to have karma, and this made Sahara remember of what she does have…And she felt very lucky!

So lucky that perhaps she deserves bad luck!

But…Talking about bad luck…Sahara remembered that old hag!

Well, there’s the bad luck!

When Sahara found the Empress Dowager, this time without asking, she stayed within the shadows and wondered what to do with her.

Right now, she came off as crazy!

But, as Sahara went through the Empress Dowager’s memories, her headache getting worse, she felt conflicted with the old woman. She wasn’t extremely bad, she was just tired and old. She was manipulated as well, and Sahara started to really wonder why she had brought her here…

Of course, back then, she hadn’t known about her past and what not, so she was unable to act differently, but now…It was a different matter.

Finally understanding that even she, Sahara, was at fault for ignoring her when she had first met her, Sahara felt even worse. But…What was she to do to fix all of this!

Shaking her head to her own stupidity, Sahara could only get Matthew’s opinion, feeling like he was probably going to only casually scold her, when she felt like she deserved more!

Upon teleporting back ‘home’, Sahara felt like she should pace and think of a solution, yet when she saw the bed, she could no longer hold her tiredness at bay…

It was time to sleep!

Matthew, on the other hand, had gone to Princess Sarina’s chambers to find his beloved, only to find her gone!

His excuse was using the truth, by being worried about Sahara, not wanting to stay even though he was invited to talk with her. He never cared to much for Princess Sarina, feeling from the start that she was not one he would normally talk to anyway, so this real reason was also the excuse for him to leave immediately.

Matthew didn’t have to look far though, to find his beloved sleeping upon their bed. Sighing in relief, he found Band One come down and he was surprised, because Band One stated that he had seen Sahara looking at the Empress Dowager.

It looks like my dear is worried about what to do!

Feeling himself only worried that she was stressing herself too much, he dismissed Band One, who was still recuperating, while watching Empress Dowager at the same time. His job was simple, as he just watched an old lady, but he was able to do some Martial Arts again and Band Two had become his loyal lap dog, getting him anything he may need to do this.

Matthew had never noticed how loyal Band Two was to Band One, until Sahara had laughed about it yesterday! Now…Well, it was indeed quite real, and it made him shake his head.

He didn’t see it as a bad thing, a brotherly type of friendship was something that was indeed better in people like the ‘Bands’. If they were deeply loyal, the friendship amongst them helped them fight better to protect one another. But…If they weren’t loyal, that was a different matter! Luckily, Matthew knew his two men were loyal and did not mind their closeness at all…

Taking off his outer robe, Matthew laid down and took his woman in his arms and thought that they should try to quickly go back to Green Haven soon and fix his beloved’s mistake.

Seeing her unconsciously snuggle closer to him, Matthew smiled and put some hair out of her face. Even if she does do mistakes, as long as she was by his side, he was willing to go to the depths of hell for her.

Kissing her on the forehead, and on where his son resides, he laid back down and listened to her quiet breathing. He wanted to be there, for when she wakes up…

They had been plenty busy, so Matthew didn’t mean to, but he had fallen asleep too, probably because he felt happy and content with Sahara in his arms.

Before leaving to get Sahara from Princess Sarina, Joshua had praised the tests that they had done and even stated that they should be redone similar but to still keep the records of what had been done prior.

They had to finalize the punishments for each rebel and then remove them from being picked to make as officials, bodyguards or anything else.

Seeing that Sahara had put in effort into finding the best person for nearly every job, Joshua already found future prospects with those who weren’t in prison, and Prince Seth was finally happy again when he was agreeing to his first potential Minister.

…This person, Sahara would recognize as one of the first people that she had unblocked with cultivation bases, just this very morning…

He had indeed been smart and never did anything big against Sahara. Previously, he had been a noble’s son, who was still reading and learning upon the fall of Purple Haven. He wasn’t the first son that would have taken the position as head of the family, so he had learnt a long time ago to rely upon himself. When he had gotten his cultivation base blocked by Sahara, it was the thing that was needed for him to turn rational again, instead of staying savage…

All this time he had silently endured and watched, thinking his own thoughts and watching the people. His name was Collin, yet…His name was not remembered often at all by Sahara…

Having this person sent to the palace, that person was humble, yet found himself nodding easily to his future prospects. It seemed that he was quite smart and knew the boundaries, making Prince Seth even happier as he asked this person to stay longer and show him his ideas upon whatever was left in making decisions.

…Joshua soon lost his tongue, after this ‘potential minister’ came, and it seemed quite obvious that Purple Haven was starting to finally get back onto its own feet. Even though Joshua had a few ideas still left, he could not just stay here, so all he could do is let this ‘potential minister’ talk and only add his advice if it was necessary.

But it seemed that nothing was needed, and Joshua gave his thoughts out before leaving, that this ‘potential minister’ had been good and that he should be able to rise to his status very quickly.

The only person who seemed unable to handle anymore was the General…He was done!

Before the group choose to disband on this day, the General stated that since he was no longer needed, he won’t attend the next meeting…And so, the meetings were already getting smaller and started to become mostly of people from Purple Haven.

For that, quite a number of people were happy about it. It was obvious that this wasn’t Green Haven’s place, nor was it that they were above Prince Seth, so it seems that the coronation should take place soon, with Green Haven’s departure soon after, and even though those thoughts weren’t put into words, many people had thoughts of them already.

It was only a matter of time, and the Green Haven people would be gone, leaving Prince Seth as Emperor of Purple Haven and Princess Sarina as the Empress.

Of course, a few matters still required advice, but it seemed that Purple Haven has already been taken back and was starting to become a more civilized place once again.

One other thing was talked about before the Green Haven completely left these meetings, and that was what Purple Haven could do for Green Haven, in a type of repayment.

Matthew was asked to do this from his Emperor father and so he was able to bring this up and see what could be done in some type of repayment for all of Green Haven’s help…Ideas were formed, in which reminded Matthew upon what Sahara had said once…

If the anti-beast shield could be put up between that of Green Haven and Purple Haven, they could make trade happen!

But…Seeing that it may not be something that could be achieved, or something that he was willing to talk about openly yet, Matthew kept this idea in his heart and just remembered what Prince Seth had come up with in a form of repayment, so that he could tell His Majesty whenever they return. Just in case, Matthew had Joshua sit with him upon this conversation so that if he wasn’t able to return back to Green Haven, at least Joshua would be able to speak of this to His Majesty, about what had been spoken of.
