Chapter 68: [Chapter—68]

" What do you mean there's an army marching towards us?!" I spoke up to the four slightly agitated.

" While tracking Finn I spotted hundreds if grounders camped not far from the bridge, all carrying weapons and seemingly ready for war." Charllote told us.

" That doesn't make any sense, we were just speaking on a treaty a day ago." Said Clarke coming alongside Octavia having heard us, plenty of people heard us to be honest but I didn't care for them at the moment, not when I had a war to look out for.

" A treaty that they probably didn't take seriously in the first place, they simply took the fruits and planned to attack us to get the others." Bellamy said frowning.

" How about Finn?" Asked Clarke causing everyone to pause.

A couple seconds later and nodding at Charllote to speak as I too was curious.

" Finn was captured." Charllote said with a frown. " We couldn't get to him with the amount of people surrounding him, I'm sorry."

She said that with disappointment and shame in her eyes which was mimicked by the two hunters that had gone with her.

" That's fine." I muttered wanting to get over this subject, I would take care of Finn myself.

" So what should we do now?" Asked Octavia staring at me.

I stared at the distance for a moment in thought before sighing and looking at them.

" Now we prepare for war." I said with a sigh." Get Miller, Harper, Munroe, Jasper and Monty and meet in 20 minutes." I ordered and immediately the two hunters and Charllote broke off.

" You three get every willing body into armor and distribute the guns and swords now." I told Bellamy, Octavia and Clarke and immediately they too walked off.

' I guess war was inevitable....' I thought with a frown on my face turning my head to the dropship I just came out of.

' Fuck it.' I thought breathing in before walking off to get myself ready.

_______________________________________________________

Sitting on my bed with my eyes unfocused staring at an invisible screen to anyone else but me.

In my inventory wasn't much that would help out immediately with the war, I had the potions of course and those would greatly bolster my army.

I also had the Symphonite Ingots which would probably allow me to create some supernatural weapons but I had no time, maybe when I did I'd finally use the ore.

[—Symphonite[S-]: A medium chunk of a rarely seen ore, it forms from places that are dimensionally unstable, possesses and immense durability and conductivity to energy. This ore has soul resonative, soul strengthening properties which allow the user of whatever is crafted of the ore a boost in oneself.]

The other item that was of immediate use though was the skill ascendance crystal.

[—Skill Ascendance Crystal[S+]: A crystal that when broken will grant the user the option to ascend one of their skills so long as they have been maxed out, this will grant them options for the skills evolutions and new usabilities.]

Now this I could use, but first I needed to use my skill points and stat points while I was at it, a boost before war never hurt anybody after all.

So using 10 minutes to think the distribution over I first added the stat points.

[—Name: Ezekiel Sinclair.

—Race: Human.

—Level: 10[!]

—Class: None.

—[Stats]—

—Body: 51 [+10]

—Mind: 34

—Energy: 37

—Sense: 38

—Status Effect: None.

—[Stats: 0]—

"*Groan*" Immediately as I put all 10 stat points into body I felt my body spasm as energy flowed through it, power followed this sensation before a new screen suddenly appeared.

[—Ding! Your body has achieved and ascended its peak.]

[—Ding! Perk Sub-System Activated]

[—Ding! You have achieved 50 in Body, you've obtained Perk: Ascended Body]

[—Ascended Body[Perk]: A Body type that has gone through genetic reconfiguration, this body has extreme affinity for Arcanic Energy Manipulation and use]

" Oh that's actually amazing...." I muttered with a grin before dismissing the screen.

Then I focused deep into myself and drew from the well of energy deep inside me and immediately my eyes widened.

Using my energy was seemless, no resistance in directing or moulding it whatsoever.

' Oh that's how it feels being a genius in something or having high affinity for....' I thought happily playing with the energy inside of me before stopping.

I had to use my skill points after all, so after a moment I was done.

I put 6 into [Energy Control] maxing it out immediately, the rush of instant mastery and control I suddenly gained through this was euphoric. This new mastery came with the realisation that my energy was coursing through my body in a pattern like veins pumping blood into me.

' That's fascinating...' I thought, the implications of this would be wonderful if I understood this phenomenon.

But ignoring that for now I focused on the other skill I put skill points in.

The last 4 Skill Points were put into [Potion Make] which caused my head to feel as it was being pricked by nails as new knowledge of ingredient properties, stirring techniques, mixing equipment knowledge and intuitive skill.

" Arghhhh...." I muttered with a groan feeling the knowledge latch on to my brain.

Shaking my head for a second I took out a potion from my inventory and frowned.

" I could do better..." I muttered with slight disappointment in myself for producing something of this quality.

I could do better and I knew how to, bit I'd need tech to do that.

I could maybe build it myself but it would take time or I'd have to take the tech from either the Ark that is coming down or use the Tech in Mount Weather.

" Oh well, thoughts of conquest for foreign tech later, now I gotta get through this war...." I told myself as I stood.

' Time for a fucking war meeting....' I thought already out of my cabin.
