The First Vampire of YGGDRASIL

“ihihIHihIhIhIhiHiHiH”

Evileye POV

Silence. Nobody said anything, not even Momon who looked at Elisabeth in surprise. He still had his helmet on, but the atmosphere was easy to read even if you couldn't see his facial expression. Completely different was Elisabeth, whose predatory grin with which she looked into his face, was clearly visible. She herself held her breath, intimidated by the atmosphere that was tighter than a bowstring.

"Enough games, do you really think I would believe such a cheap lie. You'll have to think of something more realistic to get a rise out of me." Momon dismissed Elisabeth's taunt.

"It was clear that you wouldn't believe me, it seems I have to explain it to you. After you set off, left the village and headed towards Re-Estize to find more information about me, you passed a small town, didn't youuu?" asked the small girl, becoming more exited the m ore she spoke.

"That...is correct" confirmed Momon

"Ihihihi, you were looking for meeee, you even asked some people and finally there was someone who knew about me, even better someone who had seeeeeen meeeeee."

"Your rational self would have immediately noticed that something was wrong, but you were blinded by your anger, and when you heard that I was spotted with another vampire near E-Rantel, Ihihihihihih... you saw red." Elisabeth giggled, amused by Momon's desperation which could be seen even through his helmet.

"Haaaaaaah, what name did I give her again?" the monster in human form asked rhetorically

"Mmmmmmmm, I wanted to give her a name to be similar to her old one, one that might catch your attention. But that was sooooo difficult. In the end I somehow settled on Honyopenyoko, a real mess, isn't it? Ohhhh and how you jumped on it, as soon as you found her you were already on her heels, chasing her until you finally managed to destroy her pfffffffff oh what a heroooo, HIHihIHIihihiHHHiHIhIhI" cackled Elisabeth exuberantly.

"You-you lie" Momon's desperate voice spoke

"No, Oh, no, no, I am not lying it was youuu. After I had transformed her she became really clingy, it must have had something to do with the state she was in before I changed her, she was such a whiny little thing, but I got that under control reaaaaaaally fast, and when the time came she dieeeeeed, in a battle against the one she loved the moooooost" Elisabeth sang happily.

She looked over at Momon who had fallen to his knees, a sad sight for the champion of humanity. This time the sadness he felt seemed to be even greater than his anger, so great that it broke his fighting spirit.

"Sir Momon" she called out in the hope to get him out of his breakdown

"Don't bother, I guess that was too much for him. Well then, that probably means that our little game is over, how boring, I would have loved to continue playing, but there is no point in keeping a broken toy" said Elisabeth, her happy attitude had vanished, and her face only showed a bored look.

"Sir Momon!" she called out to him again

"You're really starting to get on my nerves, you better keep your mouth shut, after I'm done with this it'll be your friends' turn, you were probably hoping I'd forgotten them, right? Don't worry, I'll look into them carefully right away" called Elisabeth out to her without looking towards her. The small girl had stopped in front of the black hero and raised her hand, although that gesture did not look very menacing she had seen that hand rip out a human head from its body.

"SIR MOMON, please do something, or we are lost. Not only me but also my friends, the other adventurers and the people of this city. We all need you, please help usssssss" She screamed desperately, her previous courage gone, the insect maiden was one thing, but Jaldabaoth or... God forbid Elisabeth were an opponent she couldn't win against.

"That's it" screamed Elisabeth and dug her hand into the stone floor to pull out a large piece of cobblestone

"If you want to experience death this quickly don't let me keep you"

When she saw Elisabeth raise her hand with the stone in a throwing motion, she reacted instinctively...

[Crystal wall] she casted but instead of the expected crystal wall, nothing happened

"To baaaad, that doesn't work against meeee " Elisabeth mocked, her innocent childish face consumed in a spiteful grin

She closed her eyes and waited for the collision. Elisabeth could probably throw the stone so hard that she wouldn't even hear the whistling of the wind anymore. But instead of pain or instant death, nothing happened. After a few seconds she decided to open her eyes, what she saw shocked her, Momon had held the little vampire's wrist in an iron-hard grip, preventing her from throwing the deadly stone.

"Sir Momon" she exclaimed with relief

"Heeh, so you are still kicking" exclaimed Elisabeth happily trying to squirm out of the black heroes grasp

"Don't underestimate the strength of us humans Elisabeth; we are far stronger than you think. "Spoke her hero in a righteous voice, his anger having calmed.

"You want to play? Fiiiiiiine, come and geeeeet meee"

Splash

With one blow, the girl had severed the arm Momon had been holding. She lifted the stub and the next second a brand-new arm grew out of it as if it had never been gone.

Momon reacted hardly surprised, raised both swords and lunged at the small monster, who did the same. Although Momon was supposed to have the upper hand with his swords, Elisabeth ignored every wound, no matter how small or large, and inflicted several deep scratches on the warrior herself with her fingernails, which actually went through his armor and caused blood to flow. Momon didn't even flinch at the injury, but he jumped back to put distance between himself and the girl.

"Haaaaaah, you have indeed gotten better, I now see why you could defeat your “wife” although with some difficulty, but I guess it is still too soon for you to fight me. I am far stronger than you, playing more would lead to nothing." said Elisabeth, lowering her arms.

"You are giving up?" Momon asked in dismay.

"Ha, of course not, I just don't see a point playing with a weakling" said Elisabeth

"You did before" argued Momon

"That is different, I enjoy two ways of inflicting pain on people, through the body or through the mind. My goal from the beginning was to break you by losing everything you held dear, but that probably won't work anymore now that you've accepted the loss and moved on. On the other hand, breaking you physically is boring, you're a warrior and very resistant to pain, it would take a long time for you to break and it probably wouldn't be particularly fun. Letting you live just for you to crawl back to me, with new strength convinced you can defeat me would be quite amusing" explained Elisabeth.

She was about to say something in response to the statement when she noticed a group of masked maids moving towards Jaldabaoth who had remained silent during the entire confrontation. They were similar to the insect maidens and, like her, were equipped with weapons and other equipment.

"My Lord, I found the item you were looking for" said the black haired maid equipped with iron gauntlets, and presented the demon with a small bronze statue

"Oh, let me seeee, let me seeee" Whined Elisabeth, she had disappeared from in front of Momon in a flash, proving once again her superior speed

“Back” commanded the demon inspecting the statue

"Ehhhh, that was the thing you were looking for?, It looks kinda weak" Elisabeth commented as she looked over the maid's shoulder

"Well it seems to be a copy of the original, how unfortunate and I thought the real one was in the capital, then I suppose it was all in vain, I'm sorry for asking you for help Elisabeth" the demon apologized

"Ohhhh, Don't say that, I had a lot of fun, and I'm sure you'll find the original next time" comforted Elisabeth

"Haah, of course I find it, I am just little bit upset that I have wasted all these recourses for nothing, but I guess it is what it is. Alpha, we are retreating" commanded the demon

As the maids gathered around him, he looked towards them one more time

"I pray that we don't see each other in the future Sir Momon. Unfortunately I was not able to retrieve the item I was looking for, this one is just a cheap copy of the original, of course that means it also only has a fraction of the originals power" said the demon and carefully placed the bronze statue on the stone floor. After that he mock bowed once again and vanished in a white light
"Hoh, so he's gone? Well it doesn't matter this party is dead anyway. Its becoming increasingly booooring" complained Elizabeth and turned around.

“Elisabeth” shouted Momon out gaining her attention

"I am going to find you, and I am going to kill you" promised the dark warrior in a serious tone

"Well isn't that scary? I guess that means..." Elisabeth broke of mid-sentence.

bumm bumm

bumm bumm

bumm bumm

Sweat ran down her face and her heartbeat increased. Every hair on her body stood on end and a shiver ran down her spine. Something had happened, the feeling of fear that she had felt towards the little vampire had changed replaced by an even bigger sense of dread that had brought her to her knees. She looked over in the direction of Elisabeth, but she had disappeared.

pffffffffffff

She jumped as something blew into her ear. Every one of her instincts screamed for her to turn around and distance herself from the something behind her, but she couldn't move. The only thing she could do was stare at the ground and hope the large predator behind her did not attack her.

"Evileye" called out Momon

"Stand back, or she is going to be a head shorter. Literally" commanded Elisabeth's voice behind her in a for more noble tone than ever before.

"And you, who have caused me so much trouble... how about we play a little game? To compensate me for your disobedience"whispered Elisabeth seductively into her ear.

"Your friends who I have abducted... I want you to kill them the moment you lay eyes on them. In exchange, if you are able to resist until dawn, you are allowed to spare them" the voice giggled in her ear.

"NO, differently not, I am..."

"That was a rhetorical question, dear" said the voice which resulted in her getting pressed on the floor even harder

"Good luck child, you are going to need it" said the Elisabeth or whatever monster had taken her place and a red light flashed letting the pressure on her neck disappear.

"She is gone" said the black hero and gently squeezed her back

"Can you walk?"

She tested her body and experimentally moved her legs. The compulsion that had just stopped her was now gone.

"Yes I think I..."

A red light shone once again in the night, this time a few meters in front of them. Instead of the little vampire girl, two people she knew appeared.

They were Tia and Garga...

She fell back to her knees, breath hitching from her mouth as she tried to banish the fog that seemed to envelop her mind. It felt so right to give up control - it had been an order after all. She shook her head in a feeble attempt to retain what little control she had left, but it was ineffective. Her hands went forward and she squatted down. Fingernails scraped the ground as she dug her hands into the stone. Every muscle in her body tensed...

And she jumped.
