Chapter 64: Witch God
The Blood Wolf King’s momentum suddenly became fierce, and he grasped the handle of the huge hammer beside him.
Qi Bei’s heart skipped a beat. Could it be that the Blood Wolf King had detected some flaw? But he remained unmoved on the surface, instead staring at the Blood Wolf King with a cold smile on his lips.
“Hmph, greedy Goth, if it weren’t for the Witch God, I would smash you into meatloaf.” The Blood Wolf King seemed somewhat wary, but ultimately just gave a cold snort and issued a threat, his momentum subsiding. Then, he tapped the handle of his hammer on the ground, and a faint trace of red light appeared on the innermost wall.
Suddenly, the wall split apart on both sides, revealing a transparent glass box inside. The box contained a set of ancient, tattered armor, as well as a jade disc made up of more than ten fragments.
‘These two pieces of junk are what the Goth wants to trade? Are they dedicated to archaeology?’ Qi Bei thought to himself, but his face showed an excited expression.
“This is armor and a jade disc left by the Goblin civilization. The Witch God said that these are treasures from the peak of Goblin civilization, priceless treasures. I’ve shown you the items, if you want them, have your Princess bring them over for the exchange.” the Blood Wolf King said.
“Let me take a look first and make sure if they’re real or fake.” Qi Bei said.
“Don’t push your luck, Goth.” The Blood Wolf King replied coldly.
“Then let me take a closer look. Do you think I can steal it in front of you?” Qi Bei’s eyes flashed, and he said indifferently.
“You can approach if you want, but don’t blame me for not warning you. The Witch God has cast a deadly curse on it. If you touch it and die, it’s your own fault.” The Blood Wolf King said impatiently.
Qi Bei approached the glass box and carefully examined the armor and the broken jade disc inside. The armor had many complex patterns and several inset holes, likely for embedding magic crystals to provide energy.
Qi Bei was already sure that this was indeed a product of the Goblin civilization.
With a thought, Qi Bei suddenly extended his hand, covered in a layer of golden light, and reached towards the glass box.
“How dare you!” The Blood Wolf King’s eyes widened, and his giant hammer slammed toward Qi Bei’s head with great force.
However, a yellow magic wall suddenly rose up, blocking the Blood Wolf King’s hammer. At the same time, a green sword flashed like a poisonous snake towards his neck.
In an instant, the glass box disappeared into thin air and was absorbed by Qi Bei into his spatial ring.
The Blood Wolf King roared in anger, but was suppressed by the sudden appearance of Xiao Jiu and Thirteen and had no means of fighting back.
However, the room was completely sealed, and no matter how much he shouted, there was no sound going outside.
Qi Bei stood in the corner of the room, watching the Blood Wolf King sink into the mud that Xiao Jiu had conjured up, knowing that victory was assured.
It was not surprising that two extraordinary King-grade experts defeated one King-grade Warrior, especially in this sealed room.
Sure enough, in no time at all, Thirteen’s heavy sword had pierced the heart of the Blood Wolf King.
The Blood Wolf King opened his mouth and fixed his eyes on Qi Bei, then his head tilted and he died.
“Let’s go!” Qi Bei said, trying to push open the golden door, but found that it wouldn’t budge. He faintly felt a sense of unease.
Suddenly, a chilly wind blew through the sealed room, and Qi Bei’s heart sank, feeling an extreme sense of danger.
Xiao Jiu and Thirteen disappeared instantly, protecting Qi Bei on both sides.
At that moment, the seemingly dead Blood Wolf King suddenly opened his eyes. His blood-colored pupils had turned gray and his gaze swept toward Qi Bei.
“You are not a Goth,” the Blood Wolf King said in a sharp and piercing voice.
“And you are not the Blood Wolf King,” Qi Bei replied. His entire body became tense and his internal energy surged.
“No one can touch what belongs to This God. I will draw out the souls of you three little ants to feed my witch worms,” the Blood Wolf King said with a sardonic laugh, blood dripping from his mouth, which looked very eerie.
Qi Bei laughed loudly, forcibly expelling the oppressive feeling that had seeped into his heart since the Blood Wolf King’s resurrection. He shot up like a bolt of lightning, the black long sword emitting a dazzling golden light straight into the Blood Wolf King’s forehead.
“Spurt!”
The black long sword pierced the Blood Wolf King’s head, and the internal energy attached to the sword’s body shook the contents of his head fiercely.
However, the Blood Wolf King let out a hiss from his throat, suddenly grabbed Qi Bei’s neck and shot a gray light of energy into his body.
Just then, Xiao Jiu and Thirteen’s attacks hit the Blood Wolf King’s body, but strangely, they did not inflict any damage.
As soon as the gray light of energy entered Qi Bei’s body, it quickly started absorbing his life force.
Qi Bei’s eyes widened in anger, and he frantically circulated his internal energy throughout his body. When the gray light touched his Divine Dragon Art’s golden internal energy, it began to disintegrate.
The Blood Wolf King remained motionless in the fierce storm of attacks by Xiao Jiu and Thirteen, but when he felt the dissipation of the gray energy, his face showed a look of shock and disbelief for the first time.
“True Dragon Qi…” The Blood Wolf King shouted hoarsely, and his gray eyes flashed. Immediately, the blood-colored giant hammer flew up on its own and smashed towards Qi Bei.
“Master!” Xiao Jiu and Thirteen exclaimed, turning their attacks towards the blood-colored giant hammer.
The giant hammer was only momentarily delayed, and then it shimmered with a three-foot-long gray mist. Immediately, Xiao Jiu and Thirteen were sent flying, and the hammer slammed toward Qi Bei unobstructed.
Qi Bei’s pupils shrank, and with a thought, a layer of black light appeared all over his body. In an instant, the room was filled with an incredibly dense aura of darkness.
And just then, the hammer came crashing down but was instantly deflected.
“Dark Shield, who are you?” The Blood Wolf King’s gray eyes fluctuated violently.
This was the dark magic sealed in Qi Bei’s pendant that he took from the Dark Saint Mage Wutian’s spatial ring. Not only did it have defensive magic, but it also had incredibly powerful offensive magic. However, he had always been afraid to use it, fearing that it would bring him a disaster he couldn’t withstand. But in the face of life and death, he couldn’t care about so much.
“Die!” Qi Bei roared fiercely, and his hands instantly transformed into a pair of golden dragon claws, viciously grabbing the Blood Wolf King’s head.
The Blood Wolf King’s head exploded like a watermelon, and a gray mist leaked out from his body, condensing into a phantom.
“You can’t kill me, although you possess the True Dragon bloodline, you have only awakened a part of it. When my Divine Soul enters your body, let’s see how you deal with me using your True Dragon Qi?” The gray mist changed suddenly and rushed towards Qi Bei.
However, Qi Bei’s Dark Shield was completely unable to stop the infiltration of the gray mist. In the blink of an eye, the mist had completely rushed into his body.
The internal energy of the Divine Dragon Art in Qi Bei’s body was suppressed and retreated steadily. Although it had a restraining effect on the gray mist, the difference in strength between the two was too great.
“Hahaha…” A layer of gray mist enveloped Qi Bei’s black pupils, and he burst into piercing laughter.
