Splitting the Heavens

Chapter 1378: “True Immortal Shang, please accept our loyalty!”

Chapter 1378: “True Immortal Shang, please accept our loyalty!”

After shattering a palm with 2 strikes, he exhausted most of the energy in his body and even the portion that the Crimson Soul Tablet had absorbed from the Tong Continent of the Essence Xing back then was used up.

Shang Xia was unable to continue drawing energy from the Crimson Soul Tablet and could only recover using the top-grade essence crystals, causing his restoration of Six Direction Qi to slow down greatly.

Fortunately, his physique was just too damn powerful compared to ordinary experts at the same level. Even without using his inner qi to withstand the chaotic streams, he was able to remain standing.

Of course, with his lack of inner qi, moving around randomly wasn’t going to be easy. He could only forcefully withstand the chaotic streams and tumble about wherever they brought him.

Helpless, he could only retrieve another jade bottle and swallowed a drop of Three Lights Water.

Pressing his lips together, Shang Xia sighed softly. The effects of the Three Lights Water could no longer affect his cultivation. It could only restore his energy, which was a waste in his eyes.

It was a shame that hastening his restoration of energy was of paramount importance at that very moment. He needed to regain some combat abilities and leave his current location.

The Martial Emptiness Realm Sage was able to locate their fleet even though he was extremely far away, and it wouldn’t take long before he arrived at their position.

The Crimson Soul Tablet allowed him to shatter an attack from the Martial Emptiness Realm Sage, but if they truly appeared, he wouldn’t be able to stop a single gaze from the terrifying expert.

After swallowing 2 drops of Three Lights Water, he started to circulate his Six Harmony Flawless Rod Technique once again and his energy quickly returned. The speed at which Six Direction Qi filled his dantian again far surpassed the time when he absorbed the energy the Crimson Soul Tablet produced.

In the blink of an eye, he regained his vitality.

After some time, he chose a certain direction and rushed towards the Star Ship that had been sent flying earlier.

If he wasn’t mistaken, when he used the Crimson Soul Tablet and intentionally protected whatever remained of the Star Ship with the first strike, it was flung away while keeping the general integrity of the ship.

After sending out the second strike, he couldn’t pay any more attention to the Star Ship and it was sent tumbling away. He didn’t know if the Star Ship could withstand the second blast, but he couldn’t care about it at the moment.

Shang Xia only held onto a strand of hope that he could find it.

Shang Xia might not be too sure about the initial route of the Twin Star Pirates, but he knew the members of the Wanyun Association might have a clue.

If there was any living person on the ship, he had to properly interrogate the members of the Wanyun Association on the matter.

He knew that it was time for him to settle the score with Zhang Shun once he returned.

Shang Xia felt his head hurting once he thought about it. He fucking gave Gong Zhuo 3 drops of Three Lights Water, depleting his source of it. His heart was dripping in blood after thinking about how he gave such precious treasures to a bunch of rats who betrayed him at the drop of a hat.

After running for the time it took a stick of incense to burn, he failed to find anything other than a bunch of chaotic streams.

When Shang Xia was still suspecting if the Star Ship he prevented from turning into space dust earlier had been destroyed, he noticed a chunk of wood from the Star Ship rolling about in the chaotic streams, turning dimmer by the second.

The ship was made from a special type of material, but after losing the protection of the spiritual lights, it was still able to remain intact in space for some time.

A look of joy flashed across his face as he managed to track the ship with the chunk of wood flying about. It didn’t take long before he discovered a massive structure tumbling in the chaotic streams and turned to race towards it. After avoiding several dangers along the way, he finally approached.

The ship was no longer as big as it was before as many parts of it had crumbled. The light around it was turning dimmer as it was close to complete destruction.

Since he had arrived, saving it was a must.

Shang Xia took a single step and arrived on the remains of the Star Ship. His domain expanded instantly, covering the entire structure.

Just that act alone started to deplete quickly.

With a frown on his face, Shang Xia tapped the deck with his foot and growled, “Everyone who is alive, come out now!”

He discovered some people living within the ship when he arrived as those runes that were glowing to protect the rest of the ship wouldn’t be able to continue operating for so long without anyone’s control.

Once he stepped onto the ship, Shang Xia discovered there was an extremely sturdy secret compartment on the ship where the living experts seemed to have gathered.

It couldn’t last too long in the chaotic streams with the main body of the ship destroyed, and all it could do was to give them a chance to take a breath.

Shang Xia’s order rang clearly in the ears of those present and they were swept up into an uproar. It was as though they were discussing whether or not they should leave the room.

Snorting coldly, Shang Xia was too lazy to say more. The room might look sturdy to withstand the chaotic streams, he could shatter it with a single wave of his hand.

His attention was placed onto the wreckage as he estimated whether or not it was worth it to salvage whatever was there.

Other than the secret room and several more important locations that were well protected, nothing else seemed worthy of saving. It was basically completely destroyed. That was why everyone was gathered in the secret room.

After Shang Xia carefully examined the situation on the wreckage, those in the room seemed to have reached a conclusion. It opened up and 20 or so cultivators above the Martial Extermination Realm emerged.

Shang Xia was slightly shocked by the number of survivors. He thought that even if 10 of them lived after what happened earlier, it would be very fortunate for them.

Looking at those who emerged, there was a Martial Dipper Realm expert among them. The person was someone he knew. It was the expert who brought him the inheritance of the Talisman Formation.

After they emerged, they discovered everything was calm around them. It didn’t take long to realize it was Shang Xia’s domain that was protecting them.

In other words... The moment he retracted his inner qi, they would be destroyed by the chaotic streams.

Some of them were slightly reluctant when they emerged and they came out last, but they quickly lowered their heads.

The Martial Dipper Realm expert in the lead glanced at the others and shot those who had strange reactions a warning glare before kneeling. “We thank True Immortal Shang for the life saving grace!”

Grunting once, Shang Xia looked at all of them before muttering softly, “It’s nothing. I didn’t think there would be so many people who survived. What do you plan to do next?”

Shang Xia was barely done when everyone started reacting differently. The Martial Dipper Realm expert trembled once before bowing even further. There were those who were more sensitive and could hear the hidden meaning in Shang Xia’s words, but there were also those who were perplexed. There were even some who revealed a look of joy.

In the end, the Martial Dipper Realm expert yelled loudly for everyone to hear, “All of us are abandoned chess pieces. True Immortal Shang saved our lives and it shall belong to you in the future. True Immortal Shang, if you are willing to accept us under your banner, we will be at your beck and call!”

A louder scream interrupted him before someone stood up behind him. “Stop! Are you planning to betray the sect?”

After he spoke, everyone broke out into chaos.

The Martial Dipper Realm expert raised his head which was turning red with anger at that time. He continued to kneel, but he turned around aggressively and growled, “We’re not betraying the sect! The sect betrayed us! They gave up on us and we were thrown to stop the attack that contained Seventh Order energy without a single thought in order to buy them a little more time to escape. Our connection with the Wanyun Association can be considered severed! We don’t owe them anything, but we owe True Immortal Shang a life saving grace!”

The person behind him still wanted to say something, but others rushed at him before the words could leave his lips.

“What are you doing...” He didn’t think that his fellow comrades would attack him so suddenly and he tried to raise his defenses as soon as he could.

He might have protected himself, but he was sent flying through the air the next moment. He saw bloodshot eyes staring at him as he tumbled.

Realizing what happened, he noticed that he had flown out of the range of Shang Xia’s domain.

It was the endless streams of chaos outside the wreckage, and he yelled desperately, “Please, save...”

His voice was twisted by the streams of chaos and his body was swept away further before disappearing completely.

The Martial Dipper Realm experts were able to last for some time in the streams of chaos, but they would eventually lose all their inner qi and die...

Shang Xia never said anything from the start to the end. He didn’t interfere and watched everything quietly.

“True Immortal Shang, please accept our loyalty!” Without the Martial Dipper Realm expert saying anything, everyone else bowed at Shang Xia in unison.

Shang Xia stared at the Martial Dipper Realm expert with a strange smile that didn’t seem like a smile on his face and muttered, “What is your name?”
