Mini-Chapter 11: World Building.
POV: Lethe
I looked around the empty space. The whole thing belonged to me.
I felt bored.
What should I do now? I finished making my castle, but I hadn't ever thought beyond it. I could continue to build the castle, eventually making it as big as the area I had been given. But that was just more of what I'd already done.
I wanted to make something different. But what? I could ask Lor... but I've done that way too much for ideas, I can't just continue to do that! I'm quite sure I do have some bits of creativity in my head.
Well, I do have two ideas coming to mind now; The first is to make myself a physical body to interact with anyone that goes through my 'realm' more directly. The second is to build an actual world.
Building a body just sounds like a chore really, plus whenever I tried in my old dungeon I never got the tail quite right.
World it is then.
I should think about what kind of things I would want in my world first, no use in not putting effort into it. I certainly want a few forests, and oceans are a must-have. Fields of wheat would look quite nice, especially once I put in a fake sun to light it all up.
I got the basics down and then went to build it all up. I started by surrounding the castle in a thick forest with dense trees, their branches all placed at the perfect height to hit someone in the face. I made sure that all leaves on the ground crunched to perfection and then went to add the rest. A clearing here and there with a pond or two makes for perfect places to sleep.
A bit of wildlife was added in for sound effects, and I made it so the place always had the smell of fresh leaves and slightly wet dirt.
I still had more to do though.
