Chapter 7: The First Class (Part 2)
The Sealing Jutsu class continued.
Natsuhiko walked around the classroom in a synchronised manner, elaborating the history and evolution of Sealing Jutsu.
"...It's worth mentioning that, in the past, Yin-Yang practitioners who used various talismans to subdue monsters and defeat demons also depended on the power of Sealing Jutsu."
"However, in comparison with ninjas, who favoured the simpler and more violent Ninjutsu due to its simplicity, Yin-Yang practitioners lost. Therefore the profession gradually faded into the relics of history."
"But even now, descendants of Yin-Yang practitioners are scattered around, guarding the forbidden places where various monsters are sealed. You might encounter them in the future, so don't become that idiot character in the story who releases the monsters."
As Natsuhiko talked, various scenes emerged around them.
There was a powerful demon sealed in a bottle by a Yin-Yang practitioner, thrown into the sea, and anyone who rescued it could make a wish...
A priestess with serious injuries sacrificed herself while shooting a sealing arrow that trapped a dog-eared monster on a divine piece of wood...
And a young Yin-Yang practitioner named Xiao Zhi, using a seal ball that was half red and half white, tamed various cute little monsters, aiming to become a Sealing Jutsu Master...
These scenes weren't related to Natsuhiko's lecture; they were entirely irrelevant.
However, everyone stared intently, even Sarutobi Biwako at the back.
Even those who have not watched a regular movie before were now captivated by Natsuhiko's carefully crafted holographic movie.
And that was precisely Natsuhiko's goal.
He wasn't explaining history to make students memorise dull facts but to showcase his projection technique and generate interest in the course.
After all, as someone with experience, Natsuhiko knew that real Sealing Jutsu study could be very tedious. Only a scant few would persist., without a certain catch.
Later, Natsuhiko accelerated.
He covered the era when monsters gradually disappeared during the Warring States Period, and Sealing Jutsu was no longer limited to dealing with monsters but was used more against human enemies.
It was also during this period that Yin-Yang practitioners started to decline.
The most crucial event afterward was the marriage alliance between the Senju Clan and the Uzumaki Clan(extremely proficient in Sealing Jutsu), which eventually led to the establishment of Konoha.
At this point, Natsuhiko felt that the history of Sealing Jutsu had been covered enough.
The sensitive incident of the Land of Whirlpools being destroyed a few years ago wasn't recorded in books yet, and it was better not to mention it.
So, he raised his right hand again, snapped his fingers gently, and like a burst of soap bubble, the scenes around them gradually disappeared, returning to the appearance of the classroom.
The young ninjas felt as if they had just had a very long dream, taking a while to slowly recover, accompanied by regretful sighs.
Natsuhiko laughed, clapped his hands, drawing everyone's attention back.
"The history of Sealing Jutsu is over for this class. I don't intend to cover specific content today, so now is the time for questions. Feel free to raise your hand if you have any questions about Sealing Jutsu."
Shua~ Shua~ Shua~ Shua!
The classroom suddenly turned into a jungle of raised arms.
Natsuhiko noticed even Sarutobi Biwako in the last row had subconsciously raised her hand, quickly realising and putting it down, then pretending as if nothing happened.
Natsuhiko ignored it while internally laughing as he could only act like he didn't see it and randomly picked a male student to answer.
"Natsuhiko sensei, will every class be like this in the future?" the male student asked with anticipation.
"Of course..." Natsuhiko faintly smiled and said, "it's impossible."
After all, this was a Sealing Jutsu class, not a film appreciation class.
The students groaned again after hearing Natsuhiko's words.
"But..." Natsuhiko continued, "if we progress quickly in future classes and have extra time, I don't mind showing you some stories. For example, the love story between the priestess and the dog demon we just watched..."
"As expected, I knew they had an affair just by looking at their eyes!" a girl from the Inuzuka Clan said loudly.
Most girls were excited, as children in the Ninja World tended to mature early, especially when it came to romantic stories. The boys, however, seemed to catch on later.
"Sensei, we don't want to see love stories; we want to see if Yin-Yang practitioner Xiao Zhi can become a Sealing Jutsu Master," the boys protested.
The classroom erupted into chaos, with boys and girls forming two factions arguing about which story to watch next.
However, there was a traitor among the boys.
Uchiha Obito!
This lickspittle, without the slightest hesitation, switched sides to the girls' team, just to make Nohara Rin smile.
Beside him, Nohara Rin did smile, but it was an awkward and polite smile, not knowing whether to cry or laugh at Obito's antics.
Asuma, looking at Obito, envied him and also wanted to win Kurenai Yuhi's favour in a similar way. However, he always felt the gaze of his mother, Sarutobi Biwako, fixed on him, making him dare not move!
Kurenai Yuhi, supporting her chin with her right hand, felt a bit depressed.
In the current atmosphere, she was sorry to say that she was more interested in the story of the Yin-Yang practitioner Xiao Zhi.
With similar numbers on both sides, the result naturally ended in a stalemate. Finally, they had to let Natsuhiko sensei arbitrate.
Natsuhiko had been waiting for this.
He grinned and said, "In that case, how about splitting into two groups? In the future, the side with higher average grades will get to decide."
As soon as he finished, most students were eager to prove themselves and show the other side some colour. The enthusiasm for learning had never been this higher.
However, for students with poor grades, a chill ran down their spines, and their faces turned dull. They quickly understood the sinister nature of Natsuhiko's plan.
This meant their grades were no longer only about themselves but also linked to the entire group. It was easy to imagine how inhuman the persecution by others would be for them, just for the sake of watching the stories they wanted.
Thinking about being supervised every day and forced to do homework, their expressions turned gloomy.
Sarutobi Biwako, sitting in the last row, looked at the enthusiastic yet cheerful student body, her eyes flashing with amazement.
She didn't expect that in just one class, Natsuhiko had manipulated these little fiends so easily, training them to be obedient.
How terrifying!
Now, Sarutobi Biwako's thoughts were that Natsuhiko, this child, was too tricky. She needed to come and observe more to prevent him from misleading the students.
Certainly not because she wanted to see the continuation of the love story between the priestess and the dog demon!
Natsuhiko clapped his hands to quiet everyone and then said with a smile, "Any other questions?"
Shua~ Shua~ Shua~ Shua!
The jungle of raised arms emerged again.
This time, Natsuhiko picked Nohara Rin, who was sitting next to Obito, to answer.
"Sensei, you said the technique you used just now is also Sealing Jutsu, but why is it completely different from what we learned before?" Rin asked curiously, standing up.
Natsuhiko looked at her. "That's because what I demonstrated just now wasn't Sealing Jutsu itself but rather the use of runes employed in Sealing Jutsu."
He paused for a moment and continued,
"Believe it or not, students who have studied Sealing Jutsu should have noticed that the runes used in Sealing Jutsu actually form a complete system for harnessing chakra, not limited to Sealing Jutsu alone."
"Theoretically, what hand seals can achieve, runes can achieve as well."
After Natsuhiko finished speaking, the anticipated scene of young ninjas suddenly understanding everything did not occur. Only a few students, led by Kurenai Yuhi, seemed to have some insight, while others looked confused.
It seemed that he had overestimated everyone's level.
Natsuhiko looked somewhat helpless. "Well, let me demonstrate."
Upon hearing Natsuhiko's words, the young ninjas cheered softly. Although they didn't fully understand Natsuhiko sensei's explanation, they knew there was another interesting show to watch.
Sarutobi Biwako also straightened up. While she had dabbled in Sealing Jutsu, she wasn't an expert. Although she had heard about Natsuhiko's explanation, she had never seriously considered this aspect, so she was quite curious.
"Emmm... Let's take the Clone Jutsu as an example. Now, I'll demonstrate three different applications of the Clone Jutsu."
