Chapter 66: Headmaster
Because Coven had to wake up early every day to train his body, the two roommates did not realize that he had not returned for a night.
After breakfast, Coven went back to the dormitory to pick up today's textbook and went to the normal class with his two roommates.
There was only one transfiguration course in the morning, and Coven was the first to use the magic spell perfectly, adding five more points to Gryffindor.
After class, Professor McGonagall called out to Coven, who was going back to the dormitory to catch up on sleep.
"What can I do for you, Professor?" Coven asked.
Professor McGonagall: "Coven, come to my office after flying class in the afternoon."
"Yes, Professor." Although he didn't understand why Professor McGonagall didn't say anything directly, Coven still agreed.
"Go." Professor McGonagall smiled and nodded. "Look at how hurried you were just now. Do you have something urgent to do? Go quickly."
"Okay, goodbye, Professor." Coven did not explain. After saying goodbye, he turned and left.
...
Coven quickly returned to the dormitory and did not see his two roommates. They were probably basking in the sun in the central courtyard.
After thinking for a while, Coven found a piece of paper and wrote on it, "You don't have to call me for lunch."
After that, he pasted the paper outside the door.
Next, Coven raised his hand and pointed his wand at the window. He added a piece of Sound Dispel Spell to the window, then quickly took off his clothes and got into bed.
He raised his hand to set the time for the alarm clock, and added a double insurance for his own bed to prevent his roommate's voice from waking him up.
After everything was prepared, Coven covered himself with the quilt, closed his eyes, and began to sleep.
Not long after, Coven fell asleep...
...
After the flight class ended in the afternoon, Coven went all the way to Professor McGonagall's office and knocked on the door.
Soon, the door to the office opened. Professor McGonagall smiled when she saw Coven.
"Come with me." Professor McGonagall did not let Coven into the room. Instead, she walked out of the room and closed the office door.
"Professor, where are we going?" Coven asked in confusion as she followed.
"Let's go to the headmaster's office." Professor McGonagall turned to Coven and replied.
"The headmaster's office?" Coven was stunned and wondered if this day had finally come. He finally had to face Headmaster Dumbledore.
After muttering to himself, Coven continued to ask, "Professor, is Headmaster Dumbledore looking for me?"
"Yes." This time, Professor McGonagall nodded without looking back and said, "It's about arranging the magic spell training grounds for you, and the headmaster needs to give you some advice."
Coven seemed to be deep in thought, and at the same time, he was ready, and silently activated Occlumency.
...
Not long after, the two arrived at the door of the headmaster's room. Professor McGonagall opened the magic mechanism with a password, took Coven through the spiral staircase, and knocked on the office door.
"Please come in." Headmaster Dumbledore's voice came from behind the door.
Professor McGonagall heard this and pushed the door open. Then she bowed her head and greeted Coven, "Let's go in."
Coven nodded and followed Professor McGonagall into the headmaster's room.
"Oh, Minerva, you are here." Headmaster Dumbledore was sitting behind his desk. He seemed to be writing something before.
When he heard the door open, Dumbledore bowed his head slightly and looked at the door through his crescent-shaped glasses. When he saw Professor McGonagall, he greeted her.
After greeting her, Dumbledore immediately turned his eyes to Coven, who was looking at him curiously.
When his eyes met Coven's, Dumbledore suddenly smiled and said in a light tone, "You are the Coven Quinn that the professors keep praising, right? This is the first time we have officially met. Relax, child."
"Hello, Headmaster Dumbledore." Coven returned a formal greeting.
"Well, good afternoon, little fellow." Dumbledore's tone was a little warm and kind.
"Headmaster." When there were outsiders, Professor McGonagall had been very formal to address Dumbledore. At this time, he said, "You can talk to Coven. I'll go back and do my homework first."
"Okay, Minerva. Sorry to trouble you." Dumbledore nodded happily.
Professor McGonagall looked at Coven again and smiled gently to comfort him. "Next, you can talk to the headmaster and relax."
"Yes, professor," Coven responded with a sensible face.
After watching Professor McGonagall leave the office, Coven turned back and looked at Dumbledore again. He asked Headmaster Dumbledore, who was looking at him, "Headmaster, Professor McGonagall said that you wanted to tell me something?"
"Oh, of course." Dumbledore smiled when he heard this. "Do you want some candy before chatting? I always have 'cockroach piles' and 'more flavorful beans' here."
"No, thank you, principal." Coven shook his head and refused. He then explained, "I don't really like sweets and chocolate. It feels too sweet."
"Ah, okay..." Dumbledore's tone was a little disappointed. After shaking his head, he gently greeted, "Come over, child. Sit here."
"Okay, thank you, headmaster." Coven politely responded. He stepped forward and sat down on the guest chair, looking at Dumbledore across the table.
"Then let's talk about business first." Dumbledore opened his mouth.
"Yes, sir." Coven sat upright.
"Relax." Dumbledore comforted him again and said, "Professor Flitwick and Professor McGonagall came to me to apply for you. They asked me to arrange a classroom for you to practice magic spells."
Seeing that Coven did not answer and only listened quietly, Dumbledore continued, "I couldn't waste School's teaching resources for you alone before, but yesterday, Professor McGonagall told me that you have control over Memory Charm, right?"
"Yes, sir." Coven answered truthfully, "I have completely mastered Memory Charm."
"Well, a great achievement." Dumbledore praised and then said, "Although I don't know Memory Charm, I know that other wizard who knows Memory Charm will have a common problem, which is the endless desire for knowledge in the early stage."
"After Professor McGonagall told me about your situation yesterday, I knew that I must arrange a place for you to practice magic spells."
"You need to practice the magic spell to suppress the desire for knowledge."
"Yes, Mr. Principal." Coven showed a little excitement at the right time. "Yesterday, Professor McGonagall revealed the hidden danger of that state to me, but I can only temporarily suppress the extreme desire for knowledge."
"You have done very well." Dumbledore laughed and said, "Other peers do not have your self-control. If it were for someone else, they would not be able to suppress that desire at all."
Hearing this, Coven showed a modest look on his face...
