Chapter 65: Overnight
After dinner, Coven went straight to Gryffindor's common room and deliberately chatted with his classmates in the public lounge for a while.
It was not until the curfew time that he and his two roommates went upstairs to the dormitory.
After chatting for a while, they turned off the lights, and each lay on the bed to sleep. Soon, the other two roommates on the bed calmed down and fell asleep.
At this time, Coven opened his eyes from the darkness.
Coven, who had fallen into the 'Magics Entanglement 'of knowledge before, now broke out of the cocoon and regained his calm, immediately grasped the key point.
The Memory Curse was indeed absolutely helpful for learning, but the function of the Memory Curse should not only be this. In Coven's view, the biggest help of the Memory Curse should be to help him recall all the' Harry Potter 'information that he had checked before he crossed over.
Those memories had already become blurred because of the long time, but now that he had obtained the 'cheat', the Memory Curse turned all his memories into information data. As long as he wanted to recall, the vague or forgotten memories of the past would clearly appear in his mind.
Therefore, Coven deliberately endured for an afternoon, just to wait for the quiet night of the night. He wanted to recall all the memories of 'Harry Potter'.
Now that he had the right time and place, Coven did not delay. He immediately closed his eyes and opened the 'Memory Files' in his mind.
Clear memories immediately appeared. The images of the memories seemed to be happening in front of his eyes. One by one, images and information were all clearly displayed in his mind.
The 'Harry Potter and Sorcerer's Stone' movie he had seen, the various information he had checked on Baidu*, characters, spells, stories, stories, and so on.
[*TL Note: Baidu is chinese website, just like Google.]
Unfortunately, what he had browsed on the computer back then was only the first three plots of the movie, and the later plots were no longer investigated. He had only read some iconic information. He had given up because he felt that the plot was too childish back then...
After an unknown period of time, Coven's lifeless eyes regained their brightness, and his eyes were filled with excitement. He couldn't help but sit up, and Coven silently murmured, "There is a Room of Requirement*!"
[*TL Note: The Room of Requirement, also known as the Come-and-Go Room, was a secret room within Hogwarts Castle that only appeared when a person was in great need of it. The room is thought to have some degree of sentience, because it transforms itself into whatever the witch or wizard needs it to be at that moment in time, although there are some limitations.]
This was a very symbolic location in his memory. Although he had never seen the real picture, the information he had checked described the 'Room of Requirement' in detail.
Looking at his two sleeping roommates, Coven looked a little conflicted. After hesitating for a long time, he finally could not resist the temptation. He gently got off the bed and tried to put on his clothes as silently as possible. Then, Coven picked up his wand and quietly left the dormitory.
After passing through the common room, Coven carefully pushed open the portrait of the 'Fat Lady'.
Standing in the doorway for a while and not hearing the voice of the 'Fat Lady', Coven could not help but sigh in relief. Apparently, the 'Fat Lady' had rested.
No longer waiting, Coven quickly walked out of Gryffindor's lounge, turned around, and gently closed the portrait door again. He took a deep breath, then lifted her breath and walked away quietly.
In Coven's memory, the Room of Requirement was located on the seventh floor of the main building, and the door was on the opposite side of the moving tapestry of Barnabas the 'silly' Barmy*.
[*TL Note: Barnabas the Barmy was a wizard who made a bizarre and foolish attempt to train trolls for the ballet. A moving tapestry depicting his attempt hung on the seventh floor of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, opposite the entrance to the Room of Requirement.]
....
After leaving Gryffindor Tower, Coven entered the central tower through the long bridge. He climbed up the spiral staircase to the eighth floor and came to a long corridor.
"Tapestry, tapestry, tapestry..." Coven walked along the corridor. He held his wand in his right hand and maintained the 'Flash Charm' to illuminate his surroundings.
When he reached a third of the corridor, Coven stopped because there was a rug hanging on the wall on his left. His neck turned like a spring, and he looked at the corridor wall opposite the tapestry.
Although it looked like a normal stone wall, Coven knew, the entrance to the Room of Requirement was here.
Slightly excited, Coven followed the information in his memory and walked back and forth three times in the vicinity. At the same time, he kept repeating in his mind, "I need a magic practice room! I need a magic practice room!"
After three times, Coven looked at the wall expectantly. The next moment, Coven's face showed a surprised expression…
The wall began to change gradually.
On the originally smooth stone slab, some carved patterns gradually appeared. Then, a pitch-black color began to emerge from the center of the wall. It quickly dyed the entire 'stone sculpture wall' black. In the end, it turned into a pitch-black carved wooden door.
With a creak, the wooden door automatically opened, and a large, empty room appeared in front of Coven.
When Coven saw this, he immediately stepped into the room. As his figure entered the room, the door behind him automatically closed, and the door disappeared, gradually turning into a wall like a 'turbid crystal mirror'.
Coven followed the movement and looked back. When the door completely disappeared, he turned his head and began to size up the entire room.
The floor of the room had a metal net that looked like a sewer. Many huge curtains were hanging from the ceiling, looking like inverted stalactites.
In the direction of Coven, there was a burning fireplace in the innermost part of the room. There were some metal candlesticks on the surrounding walls, and a magic puppet was placed in the right corner of the wall.
Coven stepped forward and finally came to the fireplace. He canceled the 'Flash Charm' that was maintained at the tip of his wand. Then, with the faint light of the fireplace, Coven swung his wand continuously. A 'Fire Spell' shot out and lit up all the candlesticks in the room.
The room became bright. With the help of the light, Coven looked around the entire room again and smiled with satisfaction.
"Finally..." Coven couldn't help but laugh. "Finally, there is a place for me to practice the spell to my heart's content..."
Immediately, Coven no longer suppressed the urgency in his heart. He activated the magic spell practice puppet and placed it in the empty space in the middle of the room.
Next, Coven recalled the books he had read in the past month and began to practice the magic spell in the first book...
Because he was too excited, Coven unconsciously practiced for the whole night.
It was not until the sun shone through the window into the room that he came back to his senses.
Seeing this, Coven secretly cursed', and quickly restored the 'magic spell practice puppet' to its standby state, and then extinguished the candle.
He quickly walked to the door that had already turned into a turbid crystal state, and Coven muttered in his heart, 'I want to go out.'
Soon, the crystal wall changed again…
After a few breaths, it turned back into a black wooden door, and the wooden door automatically opened.
Coven did not go out immediately. Instead, he tilted his head and focused. He did not hear anything outside. Only then did he quickly walk out of the emergency room.
His footsteps were hurried all the way. By the time he arrived at the auditorium, it was already half past breakfast time. He randomly found an empty seat and sat down. Coven quickly made some meat food for himself and a soup for himself. Then, he wolfed it down.
This night's magic practice has consumed a lot of his energy...
