Chapter 76: Luo Xiaobing’s Revenge
Wang Pian and Luo Xiaobing both stepped back simultaneously, their fear of Wang Yuanhang palpable.
Su Ling's foot landed on Wang Yuanhang's lower back, and in one swift motion, she raised the shotgun and brought it down with force, striking his head.
Wang Yuanhang was still trying to comprehend the situation when a sharp pain surged through his head, and blood began to trickle down.
Su Ling didn't grant him a moment to recover; without hesitation she struck him two more times.
Her relentless assault left Wang Yuanhang unconscious.
As Su Ling displayed her ruthless actions, Wang Pian and Luo Xiaobing couldn't help but tremble in fear.
They felt as though they were witnessing a second Feng Weiwei.
Su Ling dragged Wang Yuanhang into the house and shut the door.
She had just tested her previous reinforcement; they remained intact.
Su Ling spent some effort, upgrading the basement's defenses to one hundred and fifty percent, and unbeknownst to Wang Yuanhang, he unknowingly walked into this trap.
From the kitchen, Su Ling found a rope and securely tied Wang Yuanhang to a chair.
Then, she turned to Wang Pian and Luo Xiaobing, asking, "How did he treat you?"
Wang Pian nervously bit her lip and answered truthfully, "He harmed me and... tortured me in many ways."
Su Ling turned to Luo Xiaobing and inquired, "And you?"
Luo Xiaobing nodded in agreement.
Frowning, Su Ling asked, "Why can't you speak?"
Wang Pian explained, "It's not that, sister. She might be too frightened."
Through Wang Pian's explanation, Su Ling learned that when Luo Xiaobing joined the group, she wasn't alone; her father accompanied her.
Before long, Wang Yuanhang had evil intentions towards Luo Xiaobing and inflicted harm upon her. Unable to bear the torment, her father confronted Wang Yuanhang but was overpowered and brutally beaten, leaving him bedridden.
Feng Weiwei, considered Luo Xiaobing's father useless and worthless, encouraged Wang Yuanhang and his cronies to beat him to death right before Luo Xiaobing's eyes.
Luo Xiaobing pleaded with them to spare her father but was instead subjected to further harm by the thin man while her father helplessly watched.
Luo's father was enraged, so furious that he spat blood and died on the spot. After that day, Luo Xiaobing became like a walking corpse, no longer uttering a word.
Wang Pian hesitated, her eyes reddening as she spoke, "They not only exploit us for their own desires but they also cut the flesh from our bodies. Feng Weiwei possesses healing ability, and she will swiftly mend our wounds. If we dare to resist, they will subject us to even more severe torture..."
As Wang Pian recounted the horrors, Luo Xiaobing seemed to have seen something terrible. Nervously, she clung to the table's edge, whimpering softly.
"These animals," Su Ling couldn't contain her disgust. Using human flesh to make soup—is this still human?
These animals didn't see Wang Pian and the others as human beings at all.
Su Ling fiercely kicked Wang Yuanhang and declared to the two, "Since this bastard is so detestable, today you must seek revenge and settle the score."
Wang Pian took a few steps forward but froze, haunted by the hideous image of Wang Yuanhang cutting and cooking her flesh.
She retreated repeatedly, shaking her head incessantly.
"Sister, I can't do it, I dare not."
Su Ling placed her hand on Wang Pian's shoulder and gently persuaded, "After what he did to you, you still can't do it? Don't you resent him?"
Wang Pian turned her face away, her eyes now red from recollecting the humiliations she endured over the past month.
"I resent him, but... I can't."
"If you can't even take revenge on an enemy, how will you deal with zombies in the future?"
Su Ling handed the shotgun to Wang Pian. "Go on, avenge yourself."
Wang Yuanhang, a bastard who derived pleasure from harming women, could hardly be considered human anymore.
For this kind of person, Su Ling didn't harbor any mercy or waste her sympathy on them.
Wang Pian gripped the gun's handle tightly but remained frozen, afraid to act.
Su Ling frowned. "He's tied up now, what are you afraid of?"
If Wang Pian and Luo Xiaobing didn't even dare to seek revenge on their enemy, they would forever be at the mercy of others, like helpless prey.
Approaching Luo Xiaobing, Su Ling lowered her head and asked, "Are you also too scared? Don't you want to avenge your father's death?"
Luo Xiaobing shook her head, whimpering in response.
"If you want to, then go ahead. Treat Wang Yuanhang as he treated you and your father."
Luo Xiaobing bit her lip, clutching the table's leg even tighter.
Su Ling felt somewhat helpless. Before leaving with the two of them, she had hoped to nurture a group of strong women, but perhaps her expectations were too high.
Wang Pian and Luo Xiaobing had already lost their fighting spirit.
In an attempt to frighten them, Su Ling said, "If you can't even touch a bound man, how will you muster the courage to fight zombies? If you're so timid, then leave. I won't burden myself with two cowards."
Opening the door, Su Ling spoke coldly, "While it's not fully dark yet, hurry up and go."
Wang Pian immediately panicked. "Sister, I can't leave. The zombies come out at night, and if I go out, death is inevitable."
Su Ling remained resolute. "Then go and seek revenge."
As she spoke, Wang Yuanhang regained consciousness.
Seeing himself tied to a chair, he felt a moment of panic.
After learning that Wang Pian and Luo Xiaobing were too afraid to act against him, he couldn't help but laugh arrogantly.
"Dare to make a move on me, you'll scare them out of their wits. This Luo Xiaobing, even after witnessing her father being beaten to death, doesn't dare to make a sound. You still expect her to follow you in fighting zombies? Miss, stop kidding yourself. I advise you to let me go, and we can work together. With me around, I guarantee you won't feel lonely during these long nights."
"Shut your mouth."
Su Ling kicked Wang Yuanhang in the face.
"Ah!" Wang Yuanhang let out a miserable cry as his catfish mouth swelled visibly.
He continued to curse, "You three little bitches, if you have the guts, kill me! If I make it out alive, I'll make sure you pay!"
Su Ling looked down at him from above. "Do you think I won't kill you?"
Seeing Su Ling raising the gun, Wang Yuanhang sneered, "Don't scare me; I know your gun is empty."
Su Ling swiftly turned the gun in her hand, pointing the barrel at Wang Yuanhang's head.
"Does an empty gun mean you can't be killed?"
Just as Su Ling was about to take action, Luo Xiaobing, who had been whimpering all along, suddenly snatched the gun from Su Ling's hand and screamed as she smashed it onto Wang Yuanhang's head.
"Ah! Ah! Ah!"
Luo Xiaobing seemed to have forgotten her ability to speak, crying out like a wounded animal with every strike.
Seeing Luo Xiaobing suddenly go mad, Wang Pian was momentarily stunned.
Then, she saw Wang Yuanhang with a broken head, his voice reducing significantly after a few gun strikes.
In an instant, Wang Pian no longer found Wang Yuanhang as frightening.
Summoning her courage, she rushed over and ruthlessly kicked Wang Yuanhang in the crotch.
"Ah!"
A wolf-like howl of agony came out of Wang Yuanhang's mouth, followed by a second and a third one. After who knows how long, Luo Xiaobing suddenly dropped the gun, sat on the ground, and cried loudly.
Through her choked sobs, she managed to say, "Dad, I finally avenged you!"
