"What do you mean?"
Arico frowned as he looked at Eclipse who seemed to have some deeper thoughts as his eyes are focused on the auction event that's happening.
"I just hope that it wasn't the case then…."
The world-hopper mumbled under his breath and Arico's enhanced hearing heard what Eclipse said.
'What is he talking about?'
Arico thought as he keeps on observing the guests while also watching the auction event and the first mysterious item that was on the center stage and still covered in a white cloth.
"NOW, LET'S BEGIN EVERYONE! ARE YOU ALL READY?!"
Eclipse just keeps on frowning as his eyes never leave the front center stage and glued at the first mysterious item covered in white cloth and waited for them to be uncovered.
"THE FIRST ITEM FOR TODAY'S AUCTION IS CALLED…. THE STONE OF THE WIND!"
Without further ado, after the MC announced the name of the first mysterious item, he removed the white cloth covered into that item and now, the item is now exposed to everyone around them and most of the guests are now whispering themselves about this precious item.
The first item, from what the MC stated as the Stone of the Wind, it seems like the typical stone but there was an emerald gem at the center of that stone and most of the audience believe that the gem is what the MC mentioned as the wind stone or something.

More and more whispers from the crowd could be heard and Eclipse frowned once as he observed the first item that the MC stated was called [Stone of the Wind].

Arico said as he looked at the first item revealed, Eclipse couldn't help but frowned even further because he got this nagging feeling that there is something about the item being auctioned right now.
"AND NOW, THE STARTING BID FOR THIS ITEM IS…. 50 COSMOS!"
Arico choked on his saliva when he heard the starting price for the bid.
"5-50 Cosmos?! That's almost equivalent to the commission fee that we received! I-is that item truly that wonderful? It's just a piece of stone to me with just a gem on it."
In this continent, the currency is a little bit tricky compared back at the Cranus Continent.
COSMOS is the highest currency that is almost equivalent to Cranus Continent's Gold currency.
Although on this continent, gold coins are still acceptable since they had foreign tourists from the outside continent but most of the time, Cosmos currency is highly acceptable whenever purchasing items from this continent.
The foreigners outside from this continent could only exchange their currencies at any trade markets within this continent.

Arico looked at the audience as the bidding goes higher and higher that it almost shock him to death.
"What the f*ck—?! These aristocrats are truly insane for them to bid that much?!
Eclipse hummed and said; "I told you before that noble society prioritize their luxury, fame and appearance wherever they go. Even though to the point that they need to sell their properties in order to make their appearance appealing to the crowds."
He paused for a moment and then continued; "However, not all nobles are truly like that, there are others like that but at the same time, not at all."
Arico sighed as he crossed his arms around his chest and said; "Well, talk about experience, aren't we? You know how the noble society works, even we are now in a different continent but still, the noble society system are still the same, no matter where you are."
The world-hopper agreed as he kept on observing how the aristocrats kept on raising the bid even further.
"How was it, Arico? Did you managed to find our dear client within the crowds?"
Eclipse asked his companion and Arico shook off his head and said; "Negative. I have doubts that maybe he wasn't amongst the crowds and the only conclusion that I could think about is that he might be in one of the VIP rooms here."
Eclipse hummed and said; "That's plausible since according to the information provided, he had someone backing him up and I have doubts that it might be the ruling Lord of this territory, but it wasn't that confirmed yet."

Arico grimaced at the audience who keeps on bidding that item and said; "That's only the first item in this event and they are now hyped into bidding that item. What could have happened if there were more items that's more valuable than this one?"
Eclipse smirked and said; "That's what the owner of this establishment is trying to do. To get the audience be hyped so that it could continue when the next item would be presented."
Arico, who doesn't quite understand the situation; "What do you mean? That item is just a f*cking stone and even though it has some elemental energy on it, it's only faint and nothing else. That could only be refined as some kind of jewelry for the noble ladies or for weapon materials."
"That's not an ordinary stone, Arico. Don't just look at the appearance."
Eclipse said and Arico still had a frown expression on his face and said perplexedly; "What?"
The world-hopper just ignored him and sighed as he shouted; "900!"
After that, the audience from below kept quiet when they heard Eclipse bid a higher amount and all of them couldn't help but have a shock expression on their faces and all of them looked at the balcony where Eclipse and Arico are now situation.
"H-hey, did I hear it right?"

"You've got to be kidding me?!"
"Who are they and from what household they came from?"
At the front center stage, the MC had a shocked expression on his face as he directed his eyes at one of the VIP rooms when he heard that amount of bid coming from that direction.
The MC thought; 'That room, according to Frenan, the one who occupied that room had the [token] presented on him at the entrance of this establishment. However, Frenan told me that this person who had the [token] doesn't have any resemblance to the people of that household, even though this person wears a mask to conceal his appearance but the [token] within his hands are genuine and not fake.'
A person who doesn't have some resemblance to the people of that household but had a [token] with him only means one thing, this person is likely to be an outsider chosen by one of the direct descendants of that household.
'This is interesting. If that person is likely an outsider chosen by one of the direct descendants of that household, then, might as well lend a helping hand a little bit though.'
The MC thought and he composed himself as he said; "900 COSMOS! IS ANYONE WANTED TO BID HIGHER?!"
After he said that, the audience around kept quiet because it seemed like there was no one who dared to bid higher than what Eclipse bid for.
"GOING ONCE! GOING TWICE.... AND SOLD! CONGRATULATION TO VIP #09! THE ITEM WOULD BE DELIVERED TO YOUR ROOM SHORTLY AFTER THIS! THANK YOU FOR YOUR BID!"
After that, one of the staff at the front center stage cleared out the item sold and are now preparing for the second item to be auctioned.
"HEY! ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR F*CKING MIND?! WHY THE F*CKING HELL DID YOU BID THAT FOR?!"
Arico shouted at Eclipse because the world-hopper bid that much money for that first item in this auction and before the Slayer Agent could react from his initial shock, the bid has been finalized and the item is now sold to them, well, specifically, to Eclipse.
"THAT'S 900 COSMOS, YOU IDIOT! WHERE THE HELL COULD YOU HAVE THAT KIND OF MONEY?!"
It's good for them that they were at the VIP room and also, the barrier that Eclipse activated from earlier so that Arico's loud voice wouldn't spread outside and cause a commotion because of that.
For that moment, Eclipse sighed and then took out his Adventurer Badge and presented it to Arico who couldn't stop whining and kept on talking from here and there.
"Did you forgot the privilege that we had as an S-Rank Adventurer?"
After he said that, Arico stopped his irrelevant nagging as he looked at the Adventurer Badge presented by Eclipse and that's the time that it clicked something through his head the moment, he saw that badge and he mentally curse himself for forgetting about something important.
