Clash of Titans (I) [BLEACH UNIVERSE]
Kaguya could literally walk on lava without any discomfort, but still, the flames of Ryujin Jakka were making her feel uncomfortable. ‘Those flames are as hot as the surface of the sun, so I shouldn’t be surprised’ Kaguya mused with a hint of excitement starting to well up inside her.
Kaguya had been meaning to test herself against someone strong for quite some time but until now, she never had the opportunity… Then there was another reason why Kaguya decided to stay instead of leaving after acquiring the Hogyoku. After all, she could have simply opened a portal and left.
However, if she had done that then the Shinigami would have never stopped annoying her. They would have come after her… They would have convinced themselves to believe that she was weak and she had only managed to kill Aizen because she took him by surprise. They would have kept annoying her by sending people after her.
Now that was something Kaguya wanted to avoid and for that to happen. Kaguya had no qualms over killing them, but if they kept sending people after her, then it would have been pretty annoying… That was why Kaguya decided to stay and make an example out of the Captain Commander of Gotei 13.
Genryusai Yamamoto was the strongest Shinigami, ignoring the Zero Squad. That was why it needed to be him… If she could show everyone just how outmatched he was against her then maybe, she could dissuade them from annoying her and if she ended up killing Yamamoto in the process, then they could only blame their luck.
“Taimatsu” Yamamoto muttered as he flicked his Zanpaktou and Kaguya was engulfed by an inferno of flames.
“Sage Art: Frozen Paradise” Kaguya made a single hand sign and muttered under her breath and the inferno surrounding her was frozen solid. Ice Release: Frozen Paradise was a technique Zetsu had stolen from Kirigakure and the technique was supposed to have frozen the whole Sokyoku Hill, but it only managed to freeze a small part of the Hill even after she used the technique with Nature Chakra.
“Hmm…” Yamamoto frowned… The ice was certainly different and the ice wasn’t melting even though Sokyoku Hill was burning with flames as hot as from the surface of the sun.
Kaguya stared at the man for a moment before a Truth Seeking Rod appeared in her hand. Moments later, she was right in front of Yamamoto, whose eyes grew wide in surprise at her sudden increase in speed. Kaguya was already swinging down the rod, but Yamamoto was not someone to be trifled with.
Even though he was surprised by her speed, he managed to quickly regain his bearings and bring up his Zanpaktou to defend, releasing a torrent of flames at the same time. Yamamoto narrowed his eyes, his flames were hot enough to incinerate even a Captain, but the woman was completely. Even her clothes were completely fine.
Then there was something else, whatever her weapon was, it was not a Zanpaktou… Even Zanpaktou would melt after coming in contact with his Zanpaktou, but whatever weapon she was using, it was not melting… It wasn’t even chaffed and it had been more than a millennia since he had seen such a sight.
The flames were starting to feel really uncomfortable, but she could still handle them… Kaguya raised her other hand and went to grab the old man’s throat, but the man easily stepped back and attacked her again. Kaguya wasn’t expecting her attack to work in the first place, but she still decided to give it a try. After all, sometimes, something simple could solve a lot of problems.
Their weapons clashed once again… A Zanpaktou against a Truth Seeking Rod. Sparks flew, and then they struck again… Kaguya was matching blow for blow, which came as a surprise to Yamamoto as he wasn’t expecting someone to be able to match him in sword skills.
Yamamoto knew that the woman was as old as him, but wasn’t expecting her to be so experienced and skilled… True, Kaguya wasn’t as skilled as him… Her movements were somewhat stiff and unrefined, but she was easily compensating for that with her power and speed. It felt bitter to admit, but Yamamoto was certain that Kaguya was slightly faster but physically much stronger than him.
Kaguya raised her other hand and pointed her palm toward Yamamoto as their weapons clashed once again. “Sage Art: Detachment of the Primitive World” Kaguay finished and a white prism formed in front of her palm before a beam shot out of her palm toward Yamamoto, whose eyes grew wide when saw the coming.
However, Yamamoto was not someone who could be taken lightly… If it was anyone else in his place then it would have been impossible for them to dodge the beam, but Yamamoto still managed to twist his body out of the way at the nick of time. He was able to dodge the beam, but one of his eyebrows wasn’t that lucky… Yamamoto noticed that a part of his eyebrow was simply gone.
It wasn’t cut or blasted away… It was simply gone. “That was a pretty dangerous technique” Yamamoto commented as he backed away from Kaguya. To be honest, he was expecting her to follow him, but surprisingly, she stayed her ground. Maybe, she was finally willing to exchange a few words.
“You flames are starting to annoy me” Kaguya said before he flicked her hand and gouged a huge chunk of ground in front of her.
“You can always surrender the Hogyoku” Yamamoto offered as he shrugged off his upper robe, revealing his heavily scarred torso. “I believe I should be getting serious now… It had been years since I have fought someone seriously” Yamamoto added after a moment when he saw no reaction from her. It had been quite some time since he had to fight someone and he had become rusty.
He might need to shake off that rust… Without saying anything else, Yamamoto disappeared using Flash Step and appeared behind Kaguya. He swung his sword, but Kaguya simply used the Truth Seeking Rod in her hand to block him. Yamamoto wasn’t expecting the attack to work in the first place, but it felt like she could see from the back of her head.
A torrent of flame engulfed Kaguya, but just like before, the flames did nothing to her… Once again, Yamamoto wasn’t expecting his flames to work on her. Truly, she was the most annoying enemy he had ever faced, considering until now, nobody could have shrugged off his flames like nothing. All of his opponents until now had to dodge his flames or somehow counter his flames.
It was somewhat unnerving to see someone ignore his flames though… Maybe, he could activate his Bankai… No, Yamamoto knew that he couldn’t activate his Bankai lightly. Before he could even consider releasing his Bankai, he needed to exhaust all of his other options…
“Hado #88: Hiryu Gekizoku Shinten Raiho!” Yamamoto exclaimed, launching a massive lightning beam at Kaguya, but much to his horror, the woman simply used her free hand to block the technique before the explosion engulfed the duo. Yamamoto quickly retreated out of the explosion, but as soon as he came out of the explosion, a golden chain shot out of the explosion and wrapped around his ankle.
Yamamoto grimaced and tried to cut the chain, but another chain shot out of the smoke, but this time the chain was aimed at his hurt… Yamamoto skilfully used his Zanpaktou to block the chain aimed at his heart, but by that time, it was already too late for him to remove the chain around his ankle. Kaguya quickly pulled Yamamoto inside the smoke and smoke and whirled him around to remove the smoke before finally slamming him into the ground.
Yamamoto wasn’t hurt, but he was surprised when the chain unwrapped from his ankle and retreated… Yamamoto frowned wondering if Kaguya had made a mistake by thinking that the slam had hurt him… Yamamoto did not know what to think about that. It felt insulting to be underestimated like that, but he was forced to admit that Kaguya was strong… Maybe stronger than him when he was in his Shikai…
Yamamoto slowly climbed to his feet and found Kaguya staring at him with an unfamiliar look on her face… No, it wasn’t unfamiliar… It was just that, it had been so many years since anyone had looked at him like that, he had forgotten that look. She was looking down at him and Yamamoto was afraid of admitting that he had that look.
Maybe, it was just his arrogance, or maybe it was his pride, but he wanted to wipe off that look from her face… He was the Captain Commander of the Gotei 13, he couldn’t have anyone looking at him like that…
‘Forgive me, but I will finish this fight quickly, I promise’ Yamamoto promised internally thinking about all the members of Gotei 13. Yamamoto flicked his blade and released a huge amount of Reiatsu. “Bankai” Yamamoto muttered and all the flames surrounding the Sokyoku Hill disappeared. Even the flames on Ryujin Jakka disappeared, leaving behind an ancient worn-out katana, which was severely scorched by fire.
Even though the flames were gone, Kaguya could feel the heat intensify by several folds... She could feel the air burning and the previous ice technique she had used, which was intact until now, was starting to melt rapidly… Kaguya had made that ice with Nature Chakra, so the ice should have remained intact until someone used Nature Chakra to destroy it, but Yamamoto was simply brute forcing it with heat.
“Zanka no Tachi” Yamamoto finally added and disappeared from his spot, appearing right in front of her, making her eyes go wide at the sudden increase of his speed…

(A Few Minutes Ago)
“Where the hell did you find her?” Kyoraku asked as he stared at Kaguya from afar after whatever technique she had used to blow them away. Yoruichi was standing beside him and after all the revelation and the incidents, he simply wanted to drink and laze around, but it was nought to be and a part of him was blaming Yoruichi for that. After all, she was the one who brought them who brought the woman with her.
“A week ago she arrived in Karakura town and she was casually releasing Reiatsu. Her Reiastu was easily as strong as the strongest Captains, so we decided to teach her how to control it and brought her here” Yoruichi answered while rubbing her shoulder. The invisible shockwave hurt like a bitch considering she was the closest to Kaguya.
“Well… Looks like that came to bite you in the ass” Gin commented with a grin on his face, but he quickly flinched when Ukitake placed his Zanpaktou under his chin. Ukitake wasn’t usually an aggressive person, but Gin was a traitor, so his aggression was quite understandable.
“You said she couldn’t use her techniques” Soi Fon complained while rubbing her shoulder as she was also close to Kaguya when she was blasted away.
“Well, she always voiced her techniques before, so Kisuke theorised that she might need to vocalize all of her techniques to use them” Yoruichi explained. “Looks like he was wrong” She added after a moment. Then all of them winced Yamamoto finally released his Shikai.
“Oh no… This is not good…” Kyoraku commented and ordered the lieutenants to take away the kids and the injured. No matter what the kids wanted to say on this matter, Kyoraku knew that none of them would want to stay here after a few moments. Ichigo was the one who protested the most, but thankfully his four-eyed friend managed to knock him out before he could make a bigger nuisance of himself.
Kyoraku lowered his hat, feeling bad for the pale woman… She was quite a looker and he could tell that she would be pretty sexy under those clothes of her. It was a pity that she was going to get incinerated now… Kyoraku slightly looked away when the woman was engulfed in the flames of Ryujin Jakka. He knew the old man pretty well, so he knew just how hot those flames truly were.
However, moments later, all of their eyes grew wide in horror when the woman managed to freeze his flames… From there on their horror and shock only intensified when the woman was able to shrug off the flames of Ryujin Jakka like they were nothing.
‘I hope this is only a bad dream’ Kyoraku muttered internally and he wasn’t the only one who was thinking along those lines…
