Clash of Titans (II) [BLEACH UNIVERSE]
“Yare~ Yare~ Looks like the Captain Commander is in quite a pinch” Gin commented airily while waving his hand in the air. However, nobody bothered to reprimand him this time. After all, everyone was busy watching the exchange between the Captain Commander and Kaguya. The woman was matching blow for blow against the old man and that was simply something none of them were expecting to see, ever.
“What the hell…” Kyoraku trailed off as he saw Kaguya stop a Kido cast by the Captain Commander with her bare hands. Once again, that was not something they expected to see, ever.
“We need to help the Captain Commander!” Soi Fon gushed out warily when Kaguya slammed the Captain Commander on the ground, but just when she was about to rush out, Kyoraku raised his hand and grabbed the back of her shihakushou to stop her. “What?! Let me go!” Soi Fon started to struggle when she realized that Kyoraku was holding her back.
“Don’t be a fool… You will die if you go in there” Kyoraku pointed out. “Do you think I don’t want to go there and help the old man? But I can see that I am simply going to be a bother if I went there” Kyoraku added after a moment, looking really grim. He had never seen the old man struggle so much against someone and the sight was really unnerving to him.
After all, the old man had been an unbreakable pillar for the Gotei 13 for so many years all of the Captains looked up to the old man, so it was hard to believe that the old man was struggling against someone…
“He is right, Soi Fon. That fight is beyond us… There is nothing we can do” Yoruichi agreed with Kyoraku in a solemn tone, making Soi Fon slump before she returned to her previous place.
“Oh shit… This is not good” Kyoraku shook his head warily when he felt the old man release his Reiatsu. “We need to get far from here” Kyoraku warned everyone in a serious tone and moments later, all the flames disappeared, but the heat only increased after that. Both Kyoraku and Ukitake exchanged glances as the two of them were the only ones present here who had seen the old man’s Bankai before.
“That’s his Bankai…” Soi Fon muttered, feeling fear and awe at the same time.
“We need to move away right now” Ukitake insisted and nobody dared to argue.
“It has been quite some time since I have seen someone push the old man so far…” Kyoraku mused grimly as the whole group decided to move a few kilometres away from Sokyoku Hill. He knew just how destructive the old man’s Bankai was and if he was being honest then this was much worse than Aizen’s betrayal. “I hope he finishes the fight soon” Kyoraku said to himself. If the fight got dragged then the Seireitai may not be standing by the end of it.
While nobody besides Ukitake and Kyoraku knew just how dangerous the old man’s Bankai was, they could feel it in their bones, which was why all of them silently agreed with Kyoraku…

“Zanka no Tachi” Yamamoto finally added and disappeared from his spot, appearing right in front of her, making her eyes go wide at the sudden increase in his speed. The man was much faster than before, and Kaguya wasn’t sure if she could shrug off his Bankai too… His Bankai was dangerous as hell. Even Yhwach admitted that and that man was simply way too powerful.
It should have been impossible for any of the Soul Reapers to beat him thanks to Almighty, but unfortunately for Yhwach, Ichigo Kurosaki possessed the Plot Armor, which was probably the strongest power in the whole Omniverse…
Yamamoto almost smiled when his Zanpaktou was about to her head… However, the next moment, his eyes grew wide when his blade simply phased through her body like it wasn’t even there. His Zanpaktou struck the ground and it immediately obliterated everything in its path. Kaguya swung the Truth Seeking Blade, but the old man easily blocked the blow with the hilt of his Zanpaktou.
Yamamoto realized that if he couldn’t cut her with his blade then how about an area-wide attack… Kaguya might have handled the flames of his Shikai without any problems, but the flames of his Bankai were several times hotter. Yamamoto swung his blade again. “Zanka no Tachi, Kita: Tenchi Kaijin!” Yamamoto snarled as a huge torrent of flames spewed out of his Zanpaktou.
However, the next moment, Yamamoto found himself standing in the place of Kaguya while she was standing in his place. His own attack engulfed him, but the flames didn’t even affect him considering they were his own flames. Meanwhile, Kaguya pursed her lips in displeasure… She knew that his own flames weren’t going to harm him, but it still displeased her.
It wasn’t like Kaguya didn’t possess any means to kill him… She could simply use his human path and kill him. She could use Dust Release, or she could stab him with All-Killing Ash Bones, or Truth Seeking rods, but the problem was that the man was simply too fast. She was faster than him when he was still using his Shikai and he was able to dodge a Dust Style attack from such a close range.
Unfortunately for her, in his Bankai, Yamamoto was way faster than her… The first time, she saw him disappear and reappear right in front of her and she failed to move out of the way. Without the Kamui, she could have been gravely injured… Yes, she would have healed, but still, it was a matter of principle and she wanted to hide the fact that she could regenerate with just a single cell or she could return to life with Izanagi.
Kaguya did not want to show off any more of her techniques, but she realized that she may not have a choice if she wanted to win. “Amaterasu” Kaguya tried again to attack him, but once again, the old man managed to dodge the flames with a simple sidestep. The old man glanced at the black flames for a moment before Kaguya put out the flames with the other eye as she didn’t want him to know that Amaterasu could burn for 7 days and 7 nights straight.
However, maybe, she could stop vocalizing her techniques… That might give her an edge, but vocalizing techniques were fun. That was how Kaguya found herself in quite a conundrum right in the middle of the fight, something which Yamamoto didn’t miss. He decided to take advantage of her distraction and attacked her again, but once again, he found his Zanpaktou slipping right through her.
For the second time in the fight, Kaguya decided to use Amaterasu, but this time she didn’t vocalize her attack, and considering just how close the old man was, this time he was unable to dodge the flames. However, his instincts were extremely sharp… Even though Kaguya never vocalized her attack, Yamamoto felt his instincts scream at him in alarm.
He instinctively raised his left hand to protect himself and moments later, the black flames engulfed his arm. Yamamoto immediately jumped back to make some distance between himself and Kaguya, but this time, Kaguya decided not to give him a break… Multiple golden chains shot out from her sleeves. However, instead of looking worried, Yamamoto simply removed his left arm with his Zanpaktou.
He had seen the flames of Amaterasu before and he knew that those flames were dangerous, even to someone like him… Even though his arm was on flames for only a few mere moments, he could feel those black flames eating away at his arm… The loss of his arm was… painful, but it was better to lose his arm, rather than his life.
“Bakudo #81: Danku” Yamamoto said and a transparent barrier appeared in front of him, stopping the golden chains dead in their tracks. Kaguya scowled and swung the Truth Seeking rod and shattered the transparent barrier… Then without wasting any time, Kaguya activated the Chakra Cloak of the Tenseigan. Immediately the haori she was wearing transformed, signifying the activation of Chakra Cloak.
Kaguya dismissed the Adamantine Chains and raised her palm toward Yamamoto. The man immediately felt an invisible force pulling him toward Kaguya. Yamamoto flicked his Zanpaktou in the air… “Zanka no Tachi, Kita: Tenchi Kaijin!” Yamamoto exclaimed and a torrent of extremely hot flames shot out of his Zanpaktou. However, the next moment, Yamamoto found himself in the place of Kaguya.
The torrent of flames engulfed him, making him scowl, but before the flames could even disperse, a repulsive force slammed against him and this time the power was much stronger than before. His flames were blown away and Yamamoto was blasted away a few metres before he dug his heels into the ground. However, even that seemed not to be enough and he was forced to stab the ground with his Zanpaktou.
Kaguya once again raised her palm toward him and a white beam shot out of her arm. Yamamoto barely managed to dodge the beam this time and a massive gash appeared in his left side. The repulsive force he was feeling finally stopped and without any hesitation, he placed his Zanpaktou on the wound, cauterizing it instantly. Unfortunately for him, Kaguya wasn’t done yet.
Kaguya appeared right in front of Yamamoto and tried to stab him with the Truth Seeking rod, but once again, Yamamoto managed to prove that he was not someone to be trifled with as he blocked the Truth Seeking rod with the back of his blade, but Kaguya was already expecting him to do that. Kaguya knew that Yamamoto was not a simple enemy… To defeat him she needed to take him by surprise.
That was why she had held herself back from using her full speed when she attacked him instead of using her full speed. However, now was her chance… So, this time using her full speed, she quickly lowered herself and placed her palm on the old man’s gut. Right now, she could have stabbed him with the All-Killing Ash Bone, but she did not want to destroy his Soul…
Yes, she wanted to defeat him and in the process, if he died then she wasn’t going to whine about that, but she didn’t want to destroy his Soul… Yamamoto did not deserve that, considering she only wanted to beat him to set an example…
Yamamoto’s eyes grew wide at her sudden increase in speed, but there was not much he could do. He tried to back away or at least dodge what was coming, but he was too late… Before he could do anything, a white beam punched right through his gut, making him fumble. Not willing to go down alone… Yamamoto tried to flick his Zanpaktou for another attack, but before he could do that, he was blasted away by an invisible force.
Even though Yamamoto was sporting a fist-sized hole in his gut, he still managed to land on his feet. He deactivated his Bankai and stabbed the ground to support himself. Genrysai Yamamoto might be a lot of things, but he was not foolish… He knew that it was his loss. He could not fight someone like Kaguya with an injury like that. If he was 1000 years younger then it could have been a completely different story, but not now. He was already beaten…
“Old man!” Kyoraku exclaimed in worry as he tried to help Yamamoto, but the old man simply raised his hand to stop him and the others. He might have lost, but he had his own pride. He didn’t need the help of anyone to keep standing. Ukitake and the others had their Zanpaktou unsheathed, but none of them dared to attack Kaguya.
“Why did you spare me?” Yamamoto asked as blood continued to gush out of his gut. If it was anyone else in his place then they would have already fallen. “You could have killed me” Yamamoto stated. It was not a question… He knew Kaguya could have killed him.
“I had no plans to kill you from the start” Kaguya answered simply. “You were the strongest Shinigami, so I simply made an example out of you” Kaguya explained impassively.
“Hoh…” Yamamoto hummed in understanding.
“If any of you come after me then I won’t show any mercy next time” Kaguya stated as she opened a portal, leading to Hueco Mundo.
“Wait! What do you want with the Hogyoku?!” Yoruichi asked before Kaguya could enter the portal. Kaguya stopped and turned to look at her.
“You are not strong enough to demand anything from me” Kaguya answered coldly before she stepped inside the portal, leaving the Soul Reapers to their own devices…
