After Violet placed the order with Evan, she hurriedly arranged everything that was needed.

Evan didn't disturb her and instead headed toward the Pokémon Day Care.

At that moment, a group of children was cleaning the area. Some helpers inside the Day Care were busy packing bubbles into containers outside. The machines in the facility had already been completely uninstalled.

Sophia was currently taking care of her Ralts and Evan's Pikachu. Both Pokémon looked utterly exhausted, their movements sluggish, and their usually vibrant energy dulled.

It wasn't hard to figure out what had happened—this was likely the result of being overworked by the children earlier.

Sophia, on the other hand, was diligently massaging the two Pokémon, trying to ease their fatigue.

Seeing this, Evan walked over to them.

When Sophia noticed Evan approaching, she paused her actions and asked, "Evan, have you and Violet finished discussing things?"

"How did it go?"

Evan nodded in response. "It's settled. I'll be able to make all the energy cubes she needs. She's already reserved a month's supply, so I'm going to be really busy for a while."

Talking about it made him feel a bit overwhelmed—making energy cubes was tedious work, and the next few days would leave him little time to rest.

Sophia couldn't help but smile and congratulate him. "That's wonderful news, Evan! Your business is already booming, and it's only just started."

Hearing this, Evan laughed wryly. "That's part of the problem. I wasn't ready for this volume of work. It's going to be a hectic few days ahead." He paused for a moment, then added, "Thankfully, Violet helped me out a lot. She got all the machines I needed, so that's one less thing to worry about."

Sophia smiled knowingly. "That's because Violet is in a rush right now. She's eager to strengthen her Pokémon, compete in the upcoming national tournament, and then take on the Elite Four."

Evan nodded in understanding. He knew this year's national competition was expected to draw many powerful trainers.

Meanwhile, Pikachu, who was lying beside Ralts, perked up at the mention of the competition. Its ears twitched as it listened intently to Evan and Sophia's conversation.

National competition?

It tilted its head in curiosity. What could that be?

"Ralts!" Ralts glanced at Pikachu, looking a bit puzzled. Why are you eavesdropping?

"Pika?" Pikachu shrugged, deciding to ask Ralts about it. **What is the national competition? Why are they talking about it so much?**

Ralts, who had picked up bits of information from Sophia's earlier conversations, was happy to explain.

"Rara~! Raltra~!"

As Ralts shared its knowledge, Pikachu's eyes lit up. A competition that lets you showcase your strength in front of the entire country? That sounded incredible!

Pikachu's excitement grew with every detail Ralts shared. **If that's what the competition is like, I want to participate too!**

Determined, Pikachu made up its mind then and there. It would find a way to convince Evan to join the competition. This was its chance to shine!

"Pikachu!" Pikachu exclaimed with enthusiasm, its eyes sparkling with determination.

When Ralts heard Pikachu's ambitious plan, it immediately rolled its eyes.

**What are you even thinking?** it seemed to say. **Dreaming big, huh? Want to eat farts?**

The idea of Evan participating in the competition was laughable. After all, Evan only had two Pokémon and didn't even have a single Gym Badge to his name.

"rara~!" Ralts shot Pikachu a disdainful glance, silently mocking it. **Too naive.**

"Pika!" Pikachu, feeling insulted by Ralts' reaction, puffed up indignantly. It refused to back down, and the two Pokémon quickly descended into a squabble.

Their noisy quarrel soon caught the attention of Evan and Sophia, who turned to look at them. The sight of their heated bickering left the two trainers exasperated.

"Okay, stop it," Evan said firmly. "Pikachu, Ralts is a guest. You need to be polite and let others have their say."

Evan shot a warning glance at Pikachu. **Are you trying to scare off my guests?**

Ralts, delighted by Evan's reprimand of Pikachu, took the opportunity to Teleport into his arms and nuzzle against him affectionately.

"rara~!" Ralts cooed, looking smug.

Meanwhile, Pikachu was fuming. **Darn it!** It stomped its foot in frustration.

"Pikapi!" Pikachu shouted, its cry filled with dissatisfaction. Then, in a huff, it bolted out of the room.

Evan didn't seem too concerned. He watched Pikachu go and shrugged. "It won't go far. At most, it'll run to the back mountain."

After all, Evan's Pidgeot was currently resting in the back mountain and would keep an eye on things. Pikachu always returned by dinnertime, so there wasn't anything to worry about.

As Evan and Sophia resumed their conversation, Violet appeared, walking toward them briskly.

Seeing Evan and Sophia, Violet spoke directly:

"I've already arranged everything for you."

"The equipment will be delivered shortly. I also contacted Sophia's family and ordered the materials. The supplies from her family will be delivered along with the equipment."

"You'll need to accept everything when it arrives."

Hearing this, Evan nodded. "Got it. I'll handle it."

"If everything arrives as planned, you can come by in three days to pick up the energy cubes."

Violet nodded in agreement. "No problem. I'll come back in three days."

She paused and then added, "That's it for now; I'm heading out. Sophia, are you coming with me?"

With the arrangements made, it was time for Violet to leave.

Hearing her offer, Sophia nodded. "Sure, Violet."

Turning to Evan, she added, "Evan, I'll leave Ralts in your care."

"I need to go—there's something I need to handle this afternoon." She turned to Ralts and said, "Ralts, be good here, okay?"

She hesitated, then sighed. "Actually, never mind. Pretend I didn't say that."

Sophia looked exasperated as Ralts, still clinging to Evan and rubbing against him affectionately, showed no sign of obedience.

"rara~!" Ralts waved casually at Sophia, as if urging her to leave.

Sophia rolled her eyes. "This heartless little guy," she muttered, but her frustration was more playful than serious.

She understood why Ralts was so attached to Evan. His strong Psychic abilities naturally drew Psychic-type Pokémon like Ralts. It was no mystery—Evan's abilities were simply irresistible to them.

Violet watched all this with a mix of curiosity and amusement. **So Evan's not just talented, he's also popular, even with Pokémon.** She found it fascinating that Ralts, which had outright rejected her attempts to hold it in the past, now clung so tightly to Evan.

After a few curious glances at the affectionate Pokémon, Violet didn't dwell on it. She and Sophia said their goodbyes and left together.

Meanwhile, Evan took Ralts with him and stayed behind to oversee the installation of the new equipment. Once the machines were properly set up and tested to ensure everything worked smoothly, Evan prepared for the next delivery.

The installers, however, didn't leave immediately, as more machines were on their way. Evan decided to make use of the waiting time by moving some of his belongings from his room into the Day Care. From now on, he planned to live here.

The children from the orphanage didn't move in with him but stayed at the orphanage itself. However, Evan had a feeling they would visit the Day Care frequently—and might even end up staying for long periods.
