Pokémon: A Trainer Who Masters the Six Powers from the Start

Chapter 53: Chapter 53: The Bloody Battle

"Victreebel, use Razor Leaf!"

A Pokémon Hunter had just issued a command when a sharp claw suddenly pierced through his chest.

Having succeeded in the strike, Persian used Shave (Soru) to retreat swiftly, avoiding being caught in the chaotic battlefield.

Only through successive assassinations could Persian maximize its effectiveness.

In the middle of the melee, there were no rules to follow. Here, the only law was to kill your opponent—or their Pokémon—by any means necessary.

A similar scene played out among the Rangers. Among the Pokémon Hunters, some had also trained Pokémon adept at assassination.

Every so often, a spray of blood would erupt, followed by a Pokémon collapsing to the ground.

After all, it was exceedingly difficult to find an opportunity to directly kill a prepared Trainer. Even Persian had taken a long time to find just one such chance.

Amid the chaos between the Rangers and the Pokémon Hunters, Ron and the Hunter named Kurt did not join the fray. Instead, they stood at the rear of their respective groups.

Ron was flanked by Machoke and Bellossom, guarding him closely. Similarly, Kurt was surrounded by his own Pokémon, with the rare Weavile standing out, ensuring Persian couldn't land a decisive strike.

Initially, Ron had intended to enter the battle. But when Kurt's Weavile ambushed and killed a Ranger, Ron realized the opponent posed a significant threat.

Among the Rangers led by Matthew, there were no Pokémon capable of matching Weavile's speed and stealth.

Thus, the task of confronting Kurt—or trading blows with him—fell squarely on Ron's shoulders.

Currently, Persian had eliminated three Elite-tier Pokémon and one Pokémon Hunter.

Weavile's record was similar: one Elite-tier Pokémon, one Mid-Elite-tier Pokémon, and one Ranger.

This difference was unavoidable. Kurt's Weavile, at level 38, was just shy of the Mid-Elite tier.

If a Mid-Elite-tier Pokémon wasn't prepared, it could easily fall to Weavile's ambush.

Conversely, Persian struggled against Mid-Elite-tier opponents due to its lower level, often failing to strike a critical blow. This level gap acted as a form of protection.

Otherwise, if an Elite-tier Pokémon could always kill higher-tier Pokémon with a single critical strike, everyone would focus solely on training their Pokémon in assassination skills instead of becoming stronger.

The sounds of battle—roars, explosions, and shouts—filled the air. Yet, none of this noise distracted Ron, who calmly focused on Kurt.

Only by dealing with him or his Weavile could Ron unleash his full strength to support Matthew and the Rangers.

Kurt shared the same thought. He didn't want his Weavile to be constantly on guard against a potential ambush from Ron while fighting the Rangers.

With both sharing similar goals, it became a contest of skill and strategy.

Amid the battlefield, Matthew commanded his Charizard to launch relentless attacks. Its searing flames suppressed Kai, the enemy leader, while also affecting other Pokémon Hunters.

The Ghostvine Poaching Syndicate was renowned for its use of Grass-type Pokémon. As their leader, Kai's ace was a high-level Elite-tier Venusaur.

Unfortunately, against Charizard's dual Fire/Flying type, Venusaur could barely hold its ground and was unable to stop Charizard's attacks.

With Matthew's support, the Rangers began to overpower Kai and his men, forcing Kurt to act quickly to relieve the Hunters' burden.

Weavile roamed the chaotic battlefield, its eyes gleaming with icy killing intent.

At the same time, Kurt and Weavile spotted a Pokémon that had let its guard down.

Exchanging a glance, their deep bond allowed them to communicate without words.

Weavile quickened its pace, using the surrounding Pokémon to obscure its movements as it approached the Raticate like a ghost.

"Persian, stop him!"

"Raticate's Trainer, watch out! Kurt's Weavile is on the move!"

Noticing the enemy's actions immediately, Ron shouted warnings to Persian and Raticate's Trainer.

"Raticate, this is our chance! I'm counting on you!"

Hearing Ron's voice, the Trainer, Gaven, remained calm instead of panicking.

Raticate followed suit, using all its strength to repel its opponent, leaving itself even more exposed.

Weavile, making the first move, didn't let this opportunity slip. A shadow streaked forward, its claws gleaming as they pierced Raticate's chest.

But as Weavile attempted to retract its claws, the supposedly dying Raticate found unexpected strength and gripped Weavile's arm tightly.

Weavile struck again with Brick Break, and the blow shattered Raticate's grip. The bloodied Pokémon fell lifelessly to the ground.

Scarlet blood splattered as Weavile pulled its claws free. Yet it wasn't fast enough.

A dagger plunged into Weavile's side as a pair of arms locked tightly around its throat.

"Ron, it's up to you now!"

The one restraining Weavile from behind was none other than Raticate's Trainer, Gaven.

Among the Rangers, Gaven knew he was the weakest.

Instead of waiting for his companions or Pokémon to be picked off, Gaven chose to trade his life to take down Weavile.

Without Weavile, Persian would be free to dominate, reducing their side's casualties and ensuring victory.

"Gaven!"

A nearby Ranger shouted his name but was unable to help, locked in combat with his own opponent.

Enduring excruciating pain, Weavile used its immense strength to break free, slashing off Gaven's arm.

Its claws then plunged into Gaven's chest, killing him instantly.

Weavile turned to flee, but it was too late.

A Hypnosis attack struck, causing a brief moment of hesitation.

A flash of white fur appeared, and Persian's claws sliced through Weavile's throat.

Using the chance bought with Gaven's life, Persian successfully eliminated Kurt's Weavile.

"Persian, commence free hunt!"

"Machoke, it's your turn!"

"Bellossom, use Magical Leaf for support!"

"If the opportunity arises, bring me the head of that Pokémon Hunter!"

Even without Ron's directions, Machoke and the others locked onto Kurt as their target.

Using Shave (Soru), Machoke dove into the battlefield.

With Weavile out of the picture, the chaotic battlefield turned into Persian's hunting ground. The addition of Machoke only worsened the situation for the Hunters.

Gaven's death ignited the fury of Ron and the Rangers.

This rage could only be extinguished with the blood of their enemies!
