Before long, Ezra joins us. I smile wryly in my mind. We all are now. No one speaks, not even the usually lively Mia.

After a moment I break the silence, "How do you like your dorm rooms?"

"I never imagined that one day I would be able to live like this. I don't know if I will ever be able to repay the royal family, but I will try my best." I nod at Arthur's words without a change in expression as Ezra replies, "I too will try to repay the royal family for this opportunity." It doesn't sound very sincere to me, unlike Arthur he is not a patriot.

Mia nods and adds, "I really like the room, I just don't know how to get the water." He smiles awkwardly.

“I'm not sure about that either. Arthur says.

“Maybe it will be something related to magic. Ezra joins.

Mia looks at me and asks, "Eo, you higher up how does it work?"

I nod, "It's enough to put mana into the device above the sink, like into the stones during the tests."

“I see it was that simple. Arthur sighs and scratches his head. Mia and Erza nod at his words. We fall into silence again and the mood drops.

Arthur's stomach growls finally break the silence. His face turns red and he bows his head in embarrassment.

“I think we could go eat. Mia says with a smile and they both smile at that. I also get an imperceptible smile.

We all get up and go to the counter. We don't wait long for our turn. We order and after taking over we return to the table. We sit down and start eating.

"The food here is delicious." I say, trying to lighten the mood. Artur agrees with his mouth full.

I take another bite with my cutlery and place it elegantly in my mouth. I bow and look at the others. While Artur eats it at the speed of light, Ezra and Mia are more than happy about it. I sigh at them in my mind, I hope they will be together tomorrow.

After the meal, we start talking about the information we have gathered so far, although we have learned mostly the same thing. Since we are all in the same class, we also have the same schedule. In addition, we also talked about the functioning and rules of the academy. We already had the opportunity to study them during the entrance tests, so I already knew them quite well.

All classes are compulsory, at least for people without support. Lower class students must be respectful to upper class students. It follows that we are at the bottom of the hierarchy. The quality of teaching is determined by the position of the class in the hierarchy. Well, I can't say that I expected the same resources as the descendants of influential people. I am already grateful for unlimited access to the school library.

Exams will be held every semester to motivate students. Based on the evaluation of the exam, there will be a new classification into classes. If the student achieves excellent results, he can enter a superior class, otherwise he can be reassigned to a lower class.

All violence is officially prohibited at the academy, except in pre-authorized cases such as practical combat class.

We sat there until dusk. After talking about the rules and how the academy works, our conversation turned back to Lukova. With a sad smile we talked about the various memories we have of him. In doing so, we did not only mention Sara. We all wish her luck, but she is in God's hands now. In the end, we decided to do our best and live to honor Luke's memory.

We get up from the table and go to the rooms together. Arthur and Ezra and I accompany Mia before the two head to the homelands. Aside from entering other people's rooms, roaming the school grounds at night is not prohibited, so instead of going back to my room as well, I pull the academy map from my uniform pocket and head to the academy library. After wandering for a while, I finally reach my destination.

When I walk in we are captivated. I have never seen so many books in one place. I stand there in shock for a moment. I was brought out of my stupor by the coughing of an old librarian sitting behind a nearby counter. I blink and turn to her and greet her politely. Subsequently, I will ask her several questions about how I should behave here, to which she will answer me calmly. I thank her and head off to finally explore the library.

I walk between the shelves that are almost twice my height and look at the titles of the various books that are stored in them. There are appropriately placed tables with chairs between the shelves.

After a bit of exploring I find a section dedicated to books on magic. I slow down and eagerly start browsing through the saved volumes. I can finally start learning magic.

The first book I will choose is called Basics of Magic and the Mystic Arts. I pull it off the shelf and take it to the nearest table. I sit down and start reading the first page.

After reading the first chapter, I have more questions than answers. It's supposed to be the basics of magic, but it's written in a very complicated way, and I've never heard some of the words used in the book. This book probably makes a lot of use of mage slang. I would say that we will find out what is written in it in class. I think I've stayed up long enough. It's time to go to bed. I close the book, get up and return it to its original place.

I say goodbye to the librarian and leave the library. I head back to the hostel. Although it is already night, the academy is well lit. I don't meet anyone along the way, and after wandering around for a while, I get back to my room without much trouble. I take off my uniform, put the map on the table and lie down in bed.

The bell will be rung at regular intervals from dawn to dusk. With each interval, the number of rings increases by one until the sun sets. I wake up before the first bell rings. The first day of school has arrived.

Next chapter will be updated first on this website. Come back and continue reading tomorrow, everyone!
