Marine Headquarters.
“Kaido of the Beasts has invaded Impel Down?!”
Sengoku’s face paled as he received the urgent intel. Even with Ian and Magellan stationed there, the situation was dire. He was less worried about Kaido himself and more about the potential for a massive prison riot. If that happened, the consequences would be catastrophic.
“He’s invaded Impel Down? We can’t just ignore that. Do you need me to go?”
Garp, who had been enjoying tea with Fujitora, stood up, cracking his knuckles, a glint of excitement in his eyes.
It had been years since his last clash with Kaido. He was itching for a rematch.
Fujitora, having recently defended Marineford against Shiki’s relentless assault, had become a highly respected figure within the Marines. His strength was undeniable, earning him the moniker "Fujitora," a title befitting his power. Every prominent figure, from Admirals and Warlords to Yonko, had a codename.
Sengoku had offered him several options, and, unsurprisingly, he had chosen the name from the original storyline. News of his incredible feat would soon spread throughout the world.
“……” Sengoku hesitated. Sending Garp was risky. Knowing his impulsive nature, he would likely engage Kaido without regard for the potential damage to Impel Down.
He might stall Kaido, but the situation could easily worsen.
“Where’s Kizaru? He should have reached Sabaody Archipelago by now, escorting Doflamingo’s remaining crew.” Sensing Sengoku’s hesitation, Garp, though slightly annoyed, suggested another option.
“He’s too far away. Even with his speed, he wouldn’t arrive in time to prevent a riot.”
“Doflamingo is a menace. To think he was collaborating with Caesar Clown and Kaido, stealing Vegapunk’s research to create artificial Zoan Devil Fruits.”
Garp grumbled. The news from Kizaru had shocked even the Five Elders. A Warlord, entrusted with maintaining balance in the world, had been colluding with a Yonko. They hadn’t anticipated Kaido’s obsession with creating an all-Zoan crew.
Initially, they had assumed he was either attempting another suicide or seeking out Shiki, his former crewmate from Rocks D. Xebec’s crew. However, Ian had already escorted the remnants of Doflamingo’s crew to Impel Down, anticipating trouble. But instead of targeting Marine Headquarters, Kaido had attacked Impel Down. He must have had an informant within the Marines.
Otherwise, Doflamingo wouldn’t have learned of Ian’s arrival at Sabaody and ambushed him. They also hadn’t anticipated Ian capturing Doflamingo alive.
“After all, Doflamingo’s childhood…” Sengoku’s thoughts drifted to doflamingo younger brother, his adopted son, Rosinante. He paused, sensing their dilemma.
Fujitora placed his teacup on the table. “Perhaps… I should go. Hopefully, I’m not too late.”
“If you would, Fujitora-san. We apologize for the trouble. You’ve barely joined the Warlords, and we’ve already burdened you with two major incidents.” Sengoku’s face flushed with embarrassment. Compared to Fujitora’s dedication.
“It’s my duty to uphold justice. Impel Down must not fall.”
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
The battle between Magellan and Kaido raged on Level One, the prison shaking violently. The clash had continued for half an hour with no sign of stopping. Even the duel between Aokiji and Akainu for the title of Fleet Admiral had lasted for days. This was a battle between titans.
Unless one side possessed overwhelming power, the fight could continue for days, fueled by Kaido’s seemingly limitless stamina. However, Magellan’s stamina was rapidly depleting. He couldn’t maintain this level of intensity indefinitely.
But Magellan wasn’t worried. Marine Headquarters must have received the intel by now. An Admiral would arrive soon. With the Tarai Current, the journey from Impel Down to Marine Headquarters took only a few hours.
Even a single Admiral would be enough to break the stalemate and subdue Kaido. They could wear him down and eventually capture him. However, what Magellan hadn’t anticipated was the chaos unleashed by Kaido’s arrival.
Riots had broken out on the upper three levels. A guard, his face pale with fear, rushed towards Magellan, his voice trembling. “Warden! Riots have broken out on Levels One, Two, and Three!”
“What?!” Magellan’s face turned crimson with rage. “What about Levels Four, Five, and Six? Is everything alright down there?”
He roared, struggling to fend off Kaido’s attacks while demanding answers from the terrified guard.
“N-no incidents reported yet, sir. Vice Admiral Ian said he would handle the lower levels.”
“Damn it!” Magellan’s heart sank. Distracted by the news, he took a direct hit from Kaido’s fist, blood spraying from his mouth. If Kaido’s attack had been at full power, or if it had been Whitebeard’s fist, he would have been severely injured, unable to continue fighting.
He wasn’t concerned about the riots on the upper levels. No one could escape Impel Down, no matter how much chaos they caused. The Marines would arrive and quell the unrest. But Level Six was different. While there were weaker prisoners there…
Those with bounties of 200 or 300 million could be easily handled by someone of Ian’s caliber. But there were also incredibly powerful individuals imprisoned there. If the riot on Level Six wasn’t contained quickly, the situation would spiral out of control. If they escaped… the world would be plunged into chaos, countless innocent lives lost.
“You two go handle the upper levels. I’ll keep Kaido occupied. Ian will take care of the lower levels. As long as the upper two levels are secure, Level Six should remain calm.” Magellan addressed Hannyabal and Sadi-chan, his voice strained.
“Warden, are you sure you can handle him? He’s a Yonko!” Sadi-chan exclaimed, but knowing they were more of a hindrance than a help on the battlefield, they turned and headed towards the lower levels.
“Go! I can’t fight properly with you here!” Even with antidotes, Magellan’s venom was highly corrosive. A small amount was manageable, but prolonged exposure would be fatal.
“You’re all talk and no action, Kid!”
Kaido sneered, towering over Magellan, his aura oppressive, threatening to crush the Warden beneath its weight.
But Magellan, his eyes bloodshot, blood trickling from his lips, his spirit unbroken, met Kaido’s gaze without flinching. Now that Hannyabal and Sadi-chan were gone, he could unleash his full power.
“Now that they’re gone, I can finally go all out!” His ultimate attack was too dangerous to use with his subordinates nearby. But now, with them gone, he could unleash its full power.
He opened his mouth, spewing a cloud of deep blue venom, far darker than the surrounding sea. The noxious fumes spread across Level One, creating a nightmarish landscape.
This seemingly beautiful cloud concealed a deadly secret. It was Magellan’s ultimate technique, a domain of toxic gas created by his Doku Doku no Mi. contact with the fumes was enough to paralyze and incapacitate. If one were to collapse within the cloud, death was inevitable.
In a matter of moments, Level One was engulfed in the poisonous cloud. Hannyabal, Sadi-chan, and the others had retreated to Level Two, knowing that interfering in Magellan’s battle would be suicidal.
They would only hinder him, preventing him from unleashing his full power.
This further reinforced Impel Down’s defenses, making escape all but impossible.
“Hah!” Magellan exhaled, releasing a concentrated blast of venom, further intensifying the toxicity of the cloud. Level One was now completely saturated with poison.
Magellan’s body oozed with venom, the hydra behind him multiplying its heads. The blue venom surrounding him began to pulsate, its color shifting from deep blue to a blood-red hue, signifying an increase in potency.
Like boiling magma, the venom bubbled and hissed. “Venom Devil: Hell’s Judgment!”
A colossal, skeletal figure formed from pure venom materialized around Magellan, its presence corroding the surrounding air. The air itself seemed to crackle with toxicity, burning the throats of those who dared to breathe.
The massive, blood-red skeletal giant towered over Magellan, making him appear like a messenger from hell. This was Magellan’s ultimate attack, one of the final forms of his Devil Fruit, similar to Enel’s "Raigo."
“Is that your final resort? Finally, something worth seeing.” Kaido grinned, his expression savage.
“Don’t underestimate me! I am the Warden of Impel Down!” Magellan roared, commanding the massive venom giant to attack, its enormous hand reaching for Kaido.
“Impressive, but it’s over.”
Kaido, seeing Magellan’s ultimate attack, grinned, his eyes gleaming with excitement. He raised his massive club.
“Take this! Thunder Bagua!”
Kaido’s voice boomed through the prison, his club whistling through the air as it descended with earth-shattering force. His already massive arm bulged with power, the force of the blow concentrated in a single, devastating strike.
Thunder! Bagua!
Kaido’s ultimate attack unleashed its full fury, the air itself groaning under the pressure. Even the fabric of space seemed to distort around the impact point. This single blow could shatter mountains.
BOOM! BOOM!
Blood-red venom splattered across the battlefield, exploding across Level One.
Magellan’s body crashed through multiple layers of reinforced walls, plummeting into the sea below.
The ocean boiled and churned, turning crimson with venom. Thankfully, the surrounding waters were devoid of marine life. Otherwise, the ecological damage would have been catastrophic. No one dared attempt a rescue.
“With this meager strength, you wanna to protect the peace of the sea? How boring.” Kaido glanced at the shattered walls and the boiling red sea before turning towards the hole he had created with his Bolo Breath. Without hesitation, he leaped into the abyss.
He crashed through the floors, landing on Level Five. “I felt something…”
He muttered, slightly confused. On Level Three, he had encountered a barrier that had momentarily slowed his descent. He hadn’t bothered to investigate.
He punched the floor of Level Five, shattering the ceiling of Level Six, the Eternal Hell, creating a massive hole. He looked down at the figure standing below.
“Well, well... Finally. we meet. Black Winged Devil, How’s my partner doing?”
...
...
Meanwhile, a figure approached Impel Down from the direction of Marine Headquarters. As he neared the prison, his expression shifted, a flicker of surprise crossing his face.
His powerful Observation Haki detected a faint but familiar presence deep beneath the waves. The churning, crimson sea confirmed his suspicions.
He drew his sword, Shikomizue, and a massive wave surged upwards, lifting Magellan’s near-lifeless body to the surface. The Warden gasped for air, his lungs burning.
“I’m saved… May I ask who you are?”
He looked towards him.... a kind-faced, blind swordsman. Despite his gentle appearance, Magellan sensed immense power, rivaling that of an Admiral. When had such a individual emerged?
“I am Issho, newly appointed Warlord of the Sea, code name… Fujitora.” The blind swordsman smiled.
