Chapter 77: But this man in front of her was obviously no fool (1)
That being said, Gu Jiahao’s eyes flickered when he saw the car and retrieved his hand that had reached out to grab Su Ran.
After he had stopped himself and took a look at the license plate, his color changed.
Gu Jiahao might have acted without restraints in his younger days as the only child of the Gu’s, and he was still the same way when he had gotten older, but he knew very well who in Dongshan Mansion he could not afford to offend.
The one in front of him right now was one of them.
“You lucked out this time,” said Gu Jiahao as he gave Su Ran a stare and turned around to leave.
He had no idea whether the man in the car was one to get involved in others’ businesses, but he still didn’t want to go too far in front of him.
His plan to capture this tramp and revenge her would have to wait until next time.
Before Gu Jiahao had taken a couple of steps, the car window that was shut this entire time rolled down.
One cold look from the man inside the car, and Gu Jiahao felt that all of the blood inside of his body had frozen.
“Un… Uncle Lu. Hi. How have you been?” mumbled Gu Jiahao, his words unclear.
Gu Jiahao only knew that this was the Lu’s car before.
Gu Jiahao might find the Lu’s intimidating, but this Mr. Lu was the most terrifying one of them all.
“Uncle Lu? Do you think it’s appropriate for you to refer to me that way?”
“Ugh. Oh no, no. Mr. Lu, Mr. Lu. I apologize for causing your delay here.”
“What happened?” asked Lu Shao.
“Nothing. Misunderstanding, just a minor misunderstanding was all.”
“Is that so?”
“Yes, yes yes.”
“I guess you are a lunatic then.” Lu Shao still recalled what he had heard from the outside of the car.
“Uh. Yes, exactly. I’ll go see a doctor as soon as I can!” Gu Jiahao quickly added. He’d really be done for if Mr. Lu said he’d get a doctor for him.
“Let’s go.” Lu Shao looked away from Gu Jiahao and said to his chauffeur.
He locked eyes with Su Ran the moment he was about to roll up the car window.
Su Ran’s original intention was just to see who the boss was that was able to make Gu Jiahao’s attitude have 180-degree change and turned him into a cowering dog.
Now that their eyes locked, that was a bit awkward.
Su Ran smiled and nodded at him to express her appreciation for him.
Even though all the boss did was stop the car and intimidated the little kid, er, no, lunatic youngling; not exactly trying to be nice.
As Lu Shao looked at Su Ran, his fingers that had been drumming rhythmically on the armrest in the car the entire time stopped inexplicably.
“Get in.”
Su Ran: Hah?
Bosses nowadays just hand out good deeds every day now?
Seeing that Gu Jiahao hadn’t really gone that far yet, Su Ran decided to go along with it.
“Thank you so much.” Su Ran smiled, thanked him, and got inside of the car after the door had opened up for her.
“Which unit do you live in? I’ll take you there,” asked Lu Shao after Su Ran had gotten inside of the car. He did not ask Su Ran what had happened between Gu Jiahao and her.
Lu Shao felt that Su Ran looked somewhat familiar. He figured that he had probably ran into her before since she also lived here at Dongshan Mansion.
“No, no, it’s alright. Aren’t you on your way out? You can just drop me off at the entrance of Dongshan Mansion.”
“Are you going out?”
“No, I don’t live here. I am just here to give a piano lesson. I am heading out now.”
Piano?
Lu Shao immediately caught onto the keyword.
“Was it over at the Song’s?” asked Lu Shao as he gave Su Ran a closer look.
Su Ran, “……”
OMG. Is he some sort of a deity? How could he possibly know that? Or that he was just very well informed?
