After the camera turned off, Fiona moved closer to Melody.

 

"How are you feeling now?" Fiona asked.

 

"It's been a month now, and I think I'm already used to some changes," Melody replied.

 

It had been a month since Melody transitioned from Omega to Alpha, a common occurrence that didn't raise eyebrows. Melody had asked Fiona to keep it under wraps for a while to avoid causing a stir with Yanna or troubling Alice, her two closest friends who she knew would rush to her aid.

 

Although Melody appeared composed and unaffected by the changes in her body, deep down, she was anxious about Fiona's reaction now that she was an Alpha. Her pheromones had subtly shifted, and she was careful not to let them leak, as she wasn't prepared to see Fiona's response if she discovered the change.

 

Fiona observed Melody, noting how she had grown taller and exuded a regal air. Melody's jawline had become more defined, capturing Fiona's attention each time. Having known Melody even before her transition to an Alpha, Fiona was already familiar with her.

 

While Melody was adept at concealing her concerns, her tendency to cling tightly to things remained unchanged. Fiona pondered over Melody's worries but couldn't pinpoint anything specific, except perhaps their relationship.

 

Fiona sensed Melody's unease but chose not to probe just yet. She wanted Melody to open up first, knowing that, for her, it wasn't a significant issue as she cherished Melody regardless of her gender.

 

"That's good. It's still early, shall we play a game?" Fiona suggested.

 

"What game?" Melody inquired.

 

"A card game," Fiona proposed.

 

"Okay, shall we make it more interesting?" Melody suggested.

 

"Good," Fiona agreed. "Do you have any ideas?"

 

"Hmm... how about if you lose, I'll kiss you?" Melody suggested playfully.

 

Fiona widened her eyes. "Is that even a punishment?"

 

"Is it not?" Fiona felt shy. "Be serious, how about whoever gets loose will be flicked on her forehead?"

 

"Ah? What if I hurt you?" Melody asked out of concern.

 

Fiona gave Melody a blank face. "Just so you know, I'm good at card games, so stop worrying if you might hurt me. Worry if you can even win against me."

 

"Haha, okay, but I'll tell you in advance, I'm capable at anything. Let's start."

 

Fiona and Melody played until late at night as Fiona couldn't imagine that a person like her, who could be said to be a veteran in card games, was on par with Melody. The game ended up as a tie, with Fiona and Melody having reddish foreheads.

 

Before they went to sleep, Fiona asked Melody if they should tell others what happened.

 

"We will tell them after this show ends; besides, it's not a big deal."

 

"Okay, where should we sleep? In your room or my room?" Fiona asked casually.

 

"To my-" Melody cut her words when she realized Fiona's question. "I will sleep in my room, and you in your room."

 

"But I want to sleep with you."

 

"No."

 

"Come on, people already know we are a couple, so why not?"

 

Melody stared at Fiona. She knew Fiona knew that it's not good, but she still insisted. If it were before, maybe she would agree, however, she's an Alpha now.

 

"Because..." Melody hesitated to say her reason but looking at Fiona, who looked like she was going to cry any moment, she had to say it even if she was too shy to talk about it. "Your pheromones are too attractive for me. If I get exposed for too long, I'm afraid I won't be able to control myself."

 

Fiona watched Melody get too shy and blush. It's rare to see her like this, but she understood Melody's concern. She's an Omega, and Melody is an Alpha now.

 

"So what?" Fiona answered. Then she got closer to Melody, put her arms around her neck, and whispered, "I'm your Omega, and you're mine. Omega or Alpha, you are still mine."

 

Melody, who is proud to be capable of anything, had a hard time, and in the end, still couldn't resist Fiona's active approach. However, she also realized that Fiona really loves her, and maybe being an Alpha is a good thing. With Fiona's family background, being an Alpha is really a good thing.
