My Movie Queen: Chapter 118
"Yanna, if what you said is true, then you already know my story, right?" Vanessa asked.
"Yes," Yanna answered.
"What will happen to my family if Oliver manages to take control of my family business?" Vanessa inquired, her voice filled with worry.
Yanna looked straight into Vanessa's eyes, understanding her concerns. She gently stroked Vanessa's soft, white hair and said, "At first, it will flourish with Mirayuki's help and leadership behind the scenes, but it will eventually be devoured by a new company that Oliver builds. The connections, power, influence, and wealth he gains from multiple omegas will serve as the foundation for his own company."
Vanessa listened carefully, but there was something she didn't quite understand. She asked, "Oliver isn't that cunning or smart. How can he do it all alone? Besides, he isn't someone who would take the time to study everything about a person."
Yanna smiled wryly and said, "You really know him, huh?"
Vanessa paused, then playfully pinched Yanna's nose. "Of course, we are childhood friends, after all. So, I know what he is capable of in some way. There's no need to be jealous. You're a hundred times better than him."
"I know. Anyway, you're right. He's the one doing everything, but it's influenced by his mother. The first time he did it, he was scared. But when he did it again the second time without getting into any trouble, he started to enjoy it. His mother would give him ideas and provide him with everything he needed to succeed," Yanna explained.
"Auntie? But... she's an omega," Vanessa remarked, confused.
"I don't know much about Oliver's family based on the novel, but it was said that Oliver was a child from outside and not a biological son," Yanna clarified.
"If that's the case, isn't he a victim too?" Vanessa innocently asked.
Yanna knew Vanessa's kind-hearted nature. "At first, yes, but he became addicted to the feeling of superiority, making him much more susceptible to greed," she explained.
"That's it," Vanessa sighed. She then asked, "Can you deal with him later? Will he be able to change himself?"
"I don't know, but I'll try my best," Yanna responded.
Vanessa nodded, and a moment of silence fell between them. However, it didn't last long before Vanessa broke the silence again. "So, you mentioned earlier that you had a nightmare. Is it related to your past?"
"Yes, I dreamed of myself in that world, but there was no sign of you. No matter how much I searched, you were nowhere to be found. The familiar feeling of emptiness overwhelmed me, just the thought of living without you. Then, when I woke up, I still couldn't find you. Thankfully, your personal doctor came to my room and told me that we had a visitor," Yanna explained.
Vanessa chuckled, feeling touched by the sweetness of Yanna's love. "You love me that much?"
"Yes, I love you so much, very, very much," Yanna said, her eyes filled with love and tenderness as she looked at Vanessa.
Blushing, Vanessa stood up without saying anything and quickly headed to their room.
Yanna was confused about what had happened, but then the sweet scent of peaches lingered in the air, and Yanna understood. She followed Vanessa to their room, removing the sticker from the back of her neck.
After entering the room, Yanna caught a stronger scent of peaches in the air. She looked around and saw Vanessa at the foot of the bed, in the process of undressing. Yanna's eyes widened, and she quickly averted her gaze, feeling a blush rise to her cheeks. Even though she had already seen what was meant to be seen, it still made her feel shy and self-conscious.
