My Movie Queen: Chapter 116
"Ehem... You better be careful with your words next time, or someone might misunderstand you," Vanessa reminded Yanna
Yanna, who had been serious, became slightly confused by Vanessa's comment. However, she trusted Vanessa and nodded in agreement. "Anyway, that's just my opinion," Yanna continued, trying to refocus the conversation.
Mirayuki, who had been listening attentively, spoke up with a meaningful tone, "Although I must admit, there's a part of me that wants to take him down on my own."
Vanessa, who was taking a sip of water, suddenly coughed in surprise. She quickly composed herself and looked at Mirayuki as if saying 'are you serious?'
"Sorry, please continue," Vanessa said
Mirayuki chuckled lightly before getting serious again. "I'm going to be quite busy for a while, so I won't have time to deal with him. That's why I'm asking you. Don't worry, I'll leave one of my trusted and capable personal assistants with you. If you need anything, money, people, you can trust her."
Yanna wanted to say more, but she had a feeling that Mirayuki was testing her. "Okay, if you trust me that much, then I'll do my best," she promised.
"Thank you," Mirayuki said, glancing at the time. She stood up and added, "I have to go now."
"Thank you for coming," Vanessa said, walking with Mirayuki to the door.
"It's nothing, it was nice meeting you. See you later," Mirayuki replied with a warm smile.
"Did you come alone? Do you have a driver?" Yanna asked, concerned for Mirayuki's safety.
"I have someone waiting in the car. You guys don't have to send me off. You might as well spend your time together because I'll be taking your wife later and it might be a while before you both meet again," Mirayuki said, her tone playful.
Yanna just smiled at Mirayuki's words, while Vanessa nodded. After Mirayuki was out of sight, Vanessa and Yanna returned inside.
............….
Yanna knew she had made Vanessa worry that day. When she woke up earlier, a doctor had come into her room. She had been startled, about to move away, when the man quickly introduced himself as Vanessa's personal doctor. This reassured Yanna, but she could feel the tension hanging in the air.
Vanessa was silent, which made Yanna nervous. She was about to break the silence when Vanessa finally spoke. "Do you feel any discomfort?" Vanessa asked, her face devoid of emotion.
Yanna felt a wave of relief wash over her. She hugged Vanessa and said, "I feel better. I'm sorry I made you worry."
"You slept too well," Vanessa said, her voice cold, but her eyes beginning to fill with tears.
"I just had a dream... no, it was actually a nightmare," Yanna confessed softly. She couldn't see Vanessa's face as she hugged her, but she could feel Vanessa's worry and felt the tears that touch her skin. It was so intense that it was hard for Vanessa to express her emotions.
"Do you know how scared I was? I felt like you might suddenly leave me," Vanessa confessed, her voice choked with emotion.
Yanna felt Vanessa's tears on her skin. She patted Vanessa's back, comforting her in silence.
In the quiet living room, the doctor walked in silently. He saw the two women hugging and hesitated, unsure if he should interrupt. Fortunately, Yanna saw him. The doctor didn't speak, only gestured towards himself and the door. Yanna understood what he meant. She nodded and gestured for him to be quiet.
After seeing the doctor leave Yanna turn her attention to Vanessa. She thought about it for a moment then she let go of Vanessa.
Vanessa hasn't heard anything from Yanna and when Yanna let go of her. She looks at Yanna with inquiry.
Yanna didn't say anything. She stood up and check the door after making sure that it was close she guided Vanessa to sit down.
