Before Alex could respond, Lemiel turned to Julius, his expression shifting to one of genuine concern. "Julius… I can see that you've lost your magic somehow. While I still trust in your wisdom and vision, I have a suggestion."

"Oh? Please, enlighten me, Sir!" Julius quickly bowed, his tone both respectful and eager.

Lemiel smiled kindly, then spoke words that sent shockwaves through the entire assembly. "Why not pass some of your responsibilities to this young man?"

The air grew heavy with stunned silence.

"What?!"

Gasps echoed among the Magic Knights and the citizens watching the live broadcast. Even the ever-stoic Nozel faltered, exchanging a wide-eyed glance with Fuegoleon.

"Sir… did you just say…?" Fuegoleon asked, his voice tinged with disbelief.

Lemiel nodded, his voice calm yet firm as he explained. "I don't claim to fully understand the current state of the Clover Kingdom, nor am I aware of this boy's complete history. But based on what I've witnessed today, he is a candidate worth considering. With Julius unable to fight at his full capacity, his role must shift to guiding the next generation. And Asta…"

Lemiel paused, letting his gaze linger on Alex. His tone softened, carrying a weight of conviction. "…has demonstrated not only his power but his principles. Despite any personal grievances or differences with royalty, he fought selflessly to protect the kingdom from destruction. With his Anti-Magic and unique capabilities, I believe he may even surpass my achievements one day—or perhaps, he already has."

A heavy silence followed his declaration.

Boom!

The words hit the gathered crowd like a thunderclap. The citizens watching the broadcast erupted into murmurs, disbelief etched across their faces. The Magic Knights present looked equally floored, struggling to process what they'd just heard.

Mimosa, overcome with emotion, wiped away tears, her face lighting up with pride. Noelle looked stunned, while Charlotte's lips quirked into the smallest of smiles, her admiration for Alex deepening.

Meanwhile, Mereoleona crossed her arms and flashed her trademark grin. "Heh, I couldn't agree more! I have no objections. Asta is stronger than I am and everyone else here combined. He might look like a brat, but he's a force to be reckoned with—a lion among cubs."

Her booming voice jolted everyone from their stupor.

"Asta's real strength might even rival the military power of the entire Clover Kingdom," She declared with absolute confidence.

Gasp!

Another collective intake of breath swept through the crowd.

To stand on equal footing with an entire kingdom was a feat almost unimaginable. Even among the strongest Magic Knights, such strength was unheard of. Mereoleona's bold claim left many skeptical, their disbelief evident.

"Hmph!" The lioness scoffed at their doubt, her fiery gaze sweeping over the crowd. "You fools think I'm joking? Can any of you take on the entire Spade Kingdom alone?"

"Mereoleona, please—" Alex interjected, panic flashing across his face as he raised a hand to stop her.

But Mereoleona ignored him completely. "Not only did this brat do it, but he also forced their top forces to flee for their lives. Can any of you do that?!"

The revelation sent a ripple of shock through the assembly. Julius furrowed his brows, processing the information carefully.

"Wait a moment…" Julius said slowly, his tone laden with suspicion. "The one responsible for the chaos in the Spade Kingdom—wasn't it someone named Abraham Van Helsing? A renowned mercenary?"

Mereoleona smirked, her silence speaking volumes.

Julius turned his sharp gaze to Alex. "Don't tell me…"

Alex sighed, feeling every eye in the room locked onto him. There was no point in denying it now. "Yeah, that was me. Abraham Van Helsing was a pseudonym I used during my time as a mercenary."

The crowd erupted in disbelief and murmurs. Even Nozel, usually composed and arrogant, seemed shaken.

"But how?!" Yami's voice cut through the noise as he stepped forward, his expression uncharacteristically serious. "When I first met you, you weren't nearly this strong. How could you grow so much in just a year?"

Alex met Yami's sharp gaze and smirked. "That's the difference between a genius and everyone else. Not everyone is born equal, Captain."

His words and smug expression earned a chorus of exasperated groans. Some Knights looked ready to throttle him, while others merely sighed in resignation.

"You're insufferable, brat," Yami muttered, lighting a cigarette to mask his irritation.

Meanwhile, Julius studied Alex intently. His earlier shock had given way to intrigue, and he couldn't help but feel a twinge of pride.

"Regardless of his attitude," Lemiel said, his tone calm but resolute, "This young man embodies the qualities of a true leader—strength, intelligence, and the courage to act. If there's anyone capable of guiding this kingdom into a brighter future, it's him."

As his words settled over the crowd, Alex glanced around at the faces staring back at him. Some were filled with admiration, others with doubt. But what caught his attention most were the smiles of the women closest to him—Mimosa, Noelle, and even Charlotte.

Alex sighed inwardly. "Great," he thought.

"First, the lioness exposes me, and now the entire kingdom expects me to be their savior. Can this day get any worse?"

From the back, Mereoleona smirked knowingly. 'You are welcome, kid.'

'Asta, I do not care whether you are a devil yourself. After all, I... love you!...'

Noelle, Vanessa, and Mimosa's eyes sparkled with love as they simultaneously looked at the man they loved, not caring whether he was a devil contractor or the strongest mercenary.

Sigh

On the other hand, Nozel, Fuegoleon, and other Magic knights took a deep breath and sighed emotionally, finally realizing the difference between Alex and themselves.

Alex had really crushed their pride and arrogance with their revelation.

They could not believe that the mysterious man was actually just a young boy around the age of fifteen, living beside them all along.
