Alex turned to look at Patolli and said. "Don't you want to go upstairs and talk with Licht!"

Patolli stared at the hole leading to the upper room and smiled, shaking his head.

"No. I am content now..."

He looked deeply at Alex and smiled gratefully. "Thank you, Asta. For everything! After William, you are the only one I can call a friend."

"Haha... and you tried to kill this friend three times." Alex teased the leader of the Midnight Sun.

Patolli felt embarrassed and scratched the side of his face. "Please don't remind me of that."

Alex smiled and patted his shoulder. He then closed his eyes and observed the spiritual aura of all the living things inside the massive Shadow Palace.

After he locked the locations of all the humans and Elves, he raised his hand and opened multiple spatial gates in the air.

*Bang!*

*Boom!*

*Bang!*

Multiple crashing sounds and painful groans echoed in the large hall as all the scattered Elves and magic knights were forcibly teleported into that place.

And because they were still in the middle of chasing and fighting, it caught them off guard and they were unable to react in time.

"What the..."

"Where is this...?"

"What was that mysterious magic?"

"Where is that guy? I will cut them in half!"

"Shut up! I was in the middle of an exciting fight but someone interrupted... I will burn that guy to death!..."

"Alright, alright... Everyone calm down! It seems we don't have to fight anymore..."

Alex watched the group of magic knights and Elves being confused, bickering non-stop. He smiled and addressed all of them.

"Hahaha... it seems all of you're in perfect shape as you guys can still jump around so energetically..."

"Asta...?" Noelle and Mimosa quickly caught sight of him and ignored others as they approached him.

And then under the sharp and uncomfortable gazes of Nozel Silva and Kirsch Vermillion, they quickly touched Jim around to make sure he was not hurt at all.

"Asta, are you hurt? Should I heal you?"

"You really worry me so much. Where were you till now anyway?"

Nozel and Kirsch's faces turned completely bad as if they had swallowed some fly, not happy watching their respective sister showcasing affection for Alex.

Mereoleona could not help but laugh as he hit Alex with a punch. "It seems you had dealt with the enemy. You beat me to it... You are as strong as ever."

She patted the two young girls and smiled. "You are worried for nothing. I don't think there is any foe who can really harm this guy."

Alex could scratch the side of his face embarrassingly.

Mereoleona remembered something and asked with a solemn expression. "But seriously, what the hell was that disgusting mana that I felt two minutes ago?"

"Ah, that! It was just a trash, overestimating itself and it's abilities. I just cleaned it up a few seconds ago." Alex shrugged his shoulders and waved his hand, not wanting to talk about it.

Mereoleona didn't ask any further and looked at everyone to make sure that all the magic knights were in one piece.

"Alright, guys! The fight is over. Let's go back now!" She turned to everyone and shouted loudly.

"Finally, it's over!"

Someone muttered while taking a deep breath, his body relaxing.

Alex smiled and guided everyone to the upper floor where the exit was located.

Some people rode the Salamander while some boarded the eagle created by Nozel with his mercury magic.

Alex easily floated while carrying Mereoleona who just refused to let him go alone.

Yuno who was flying beside Alex, kept glancing at his brother worriedly as the latter was used as a means of transport by the captain of Crimson Lion.

When everyone arrived in the hall that was connected to the lower one, the jaws of the magic knights almost dropped.

"Hey, that is..."

"I know. But how..."

"This is impossible."

"I must be hallucinating. How can he possibly be..."

Alex ignored their reactions and waved his hand.

"Hey, First Magic Emperor, how do you guys feel after catching up since old times?"

Lemiel looked at all the magic knights and looked at Secre who simply introduced him to all the magic knights. His eyes softened a little when he saw the Vermillions and Silvas who were his descendents.

Patolli and other elves quickly jumped down and approached Licht.

"Licht..."

"Licht, you are finally..."

They could not help but shed tears of happiness to see him.

Licht smiled at everyone before his eyes landed on Patolli. He walked over to the guy who admired him so much.

"Licht, I..." Patolli was nervous as he thought Licht would be angry or might be disappointed with him.

But Licht smiled and said softly. "Patri... I saw everything you've been through... And no matter, if what you did is unforgivable... even if you made a mistake... I have always wanted to tell you..."

Licht hugged Patolli and smiled. "You did well..."

"Licht!..." The poor guy could not take it anymore and cried, trembling slightly. He had never anticipated that he would hear such words from the leader of the Elves.

Alex smiled at the interaction between the two poor souls while ignoring the reactions of the magic knights to the First Wizard King's presence.

Mereoleona, Fuegoleon, and other royals quickly showed their courtesy as they bowed, greeting their ancestors.

They had so much to talk about with the guy who once defeated a demon, saving the Clover kingdom.

Lemiel also had quite some time on hand to chat with his descendants and share his views and thoughts with them.

But the first thing to do was to leave the Shadow Palace.

All of them used the exit and left the massive dungeon hovering in the air, right above the castle.

"Hey, look! They are out!"

Magna pointed at the Shadow palace and shouted excitedly.

Vanessa and others raised their heads and smiled brightly, watching the magic knights descending slowly towards them.
