Chapter 90: Failed, Once More.
Due to the reset, Monia had to re-buy that item again, but she still had the needed points to do so. As such… the day repeated… again, and Monia was intent on making it the last reset.
But… Monia is trapped… Those who granted her wish… knew what the outcome would be. In truth, they plan to free her of this self-inflicted torment. But only after the woman gives up in trying to solve this unsolvable problem.
The System watched, the DM watched, those that fulfilled her wish watched. They watched as Monia tirelessly tried to save her wives. Story Fixers tend to be emotional and empathic people.
That isn’t the same for those that oversee them, though. No… those beings… they aren’t supposed to really have emotions. But seeing Monia repeat this day, over and over, well… it constantly brings tears to their eyes.
If you count the times that she had repeated this story prior to her wish, Monia had tried to fix the story, thousands of times more than any Story Fixer in history. Simply put, they respected her too much to rip Monia away from her attempts at getting the best ending for this story of hers.
Yes… it was no longer a story that Monia slipped into. It was her story. It was Risa’s, Melissa’s, and Monia’s story. They had no right, nor did they want to ruin the potential of a good ending becoming a reality. So… they continued to watch.
Thud!
Bringing us to now, Monia slammed open the door. The reactions were the same as before, and their next actions were as well. In this moment, Risa and Melissa were nothing more than animals.
They didn’t think of anything more… than killing the person who is taking their wife away from them. The idea of sharing Monia… wasn’t one that they could ever stomach. That is because they’re selfish.
Bang, Bang, Bang!
Their selfishness and yandere tendencies… is why they must kill each other. Monia knows this… but she pretends to not be aware of it. Even if she stops them here… they will just try to kill each other on a different day.
It could be days, months, or years from this attempt. “I will just have to stop it then as well!” As Monia laid in a pool of her own blood, with her shaken and unspeaking wives looking at her, Monia’s thoughts were still cheerful.
Risa: “…”
Melissa: “…”
With a smile on her face… Monia took that pill. She waited… and waited… but her body only got colder and colder. The pill did nothing…
As she teetered on the end of her life, Monia realized why it didn’t work. “Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha!” She crazily laughed in her mind before dying, only stopping once she was back to that same day.
There was a conflict, you see. That pill didn’t work… because the pill she used to stay awake… blocked it from affecting and saving her. Now giving up… Monia let herself fall asleep…
