Chapter 89: Two Deaths Were Stopped, But Another Still Happened...
Still rushing as fast as her aching body allowed her to run, Monia soon arrived at that building. She didn’t want to waste any time, but she needed to catch her breath…
Creek!
Opening the door, Monia saw her two wives facing each other. One was wielding a knife, while the other was wielding a handgun. “What… is Melissa insane!? Bringing a knife to a gunfight… No, wait… Didn’t she win in quite a few resets?… I shouldn’t judge.” She thought with a conflicted tone.
Risa: “…” “Monia… should be sleeping, right?” She thought with a shocked tone.
Melissa: “…” “How did she wake up so soon?” She thought with a confused expression.
Her wives looked at her in awe, both of them were shocked and confused. How did Monia find them? An endless number of possibilities had flooded into their minds, causing them to freeze on the spot.
Bang, Bang, Bang!
Monia, taking this as a moment to rest, had then woken up and then she sprung into action. Despite being confused, the killing intent of Risa and Melissa didn’t leave them at all. Perhaps driven by their prey showing up, the two attempted to kill the other once more.
Risa: “…”
Melissa: “…”
Their words were nonexistent, that included their thoughts. Monia was on the floor, bleeding from her bullet wounds. The woman had made it in time for her to block Melissa from getting shot, but she got shot in her stead.
Monia: “…”
As Monia laid there, dying, she was spiraling. “I saw it… I got here before they could try and kill each other… But they still did it… anyway?” Her thoughts grew darker and darker, not helped in the least that the warmth was rapidly leaving her body. “Haha… Is there no real ending for us? Do I just have to pick one of them… and live with it?” Monia knew that she was about to expire, so she decided to say some final words.
Monia: “Do you two really love me?” She asked, spitting up some blood in the process.
She saw the two move their mouths, but Monia’s hearing gave out. Before she heard anything… Monia was back on her bed, to the same day as before.
Monia: “…”
The DM was silent, and so was the System. The DM took the System away to their marriage, saying that Monia had no more use for the System, nor did she need her help at all.
Monia was at her end… until she looked at her wives again, and filled with the desire to get the best ending possible. The solution was obvious to her now… but it was wrong, and her solution wouldn’t work.
“I am so stupid!!! I still have that pill… which will heal any injury! I just have to do the same as last time, but take that pill. Seeing me sacrifice myself like that… it will surely make them give up on killing their love rival!” She thought with… a confident tone again. Her strength in continuing to find a solution… is amazing, I won’t lie. But it is in vain…
