Martial Peak: Chaos Dragon Emperor

Back in Yang Feng's room, Yang Feng opened his eyes and looked towards a specific direction. There, he could feel the auras of five people rapidly approaching war city, each aura reaching around Mid-1st Order Transcendent.

'six hours huh.', it had only been six hours since Bi Luo had arrived and the five had already arrived. "And so it begins."

It wasn't only Yang Feng who had sensed their arrival as nearly every inhabitant of war city with sufficient strength could sense the upcoming auras from miles away.

Above the center of the city, seven old men stood in the sky looking towards the approaching auras with severe faces. They could tell just by the auras who the five auras that were approaching belonged to. But the problem was, they knew about the strengths of the people approaching from some time ago, but what they were feeling now was a little higher than tham, individually, which surprised them as the five weren't this strong a few years back.

The seven looked at each other, each of their eyes filled with bitterness. Qiu Family Great Elder finally said with a deep sigh, "*sighh* just... What has been going on in the world right now. Suddenly so many unknown ... Transcendent Realm Masters have appeared. Each of them stronger than the other, not to mention those ... Youngsters, Yang Feng and his companions ... and then that demon lord ... Now, even these five have grown a lot stronger in just a few years! This doesn't make any sense! they were weaker than us the last time around and suddenly became this strong."

The others also felt helpless. They were once mighty and without equals. They could go about their ways and no one would object to them. But now ... now they knew they have become nothing but a slightly bigger fish in the vast pond, with even bigger ones near them, with some trying to devour them even.

The Huo Clan Great Elder said, "*sigh* Times have changed. This is now a new era, an era where many more Transcendents might be born ... and maybe the path ahead as well.", all of them knew that things were going to change as more powerful cultivators will be born, which would eventually show others a way forward.

The Yang Clan Great Elder shook his head before saying with a determined look, "all that will come later. Our task right now is to stop them.", with that he flew to intercept that coming figures. The other six soon followed after him as well.

Su Yan and Xia Ning Chang were sitting in a garden and were also looking towards the five approaching auras, along with how seven familiar auras flew towards the five approaching ones.

Xia Ning Chang then asked Su Yan in a curious tone, "Sister Su, do you think they can stop them?", the they she referred to were the Great Elders who had went ahead to intercept the five auras.

Su Yan shook her head after a few seconds and said, "I don't think they can. Those five are more than halfway through the 1st Stage, while the elders are still at the early part of the 1st stage... Even I might have a hard time fighting them, unless I go all out."

Xia Ning Chang looked surprised, making her look cute as she asked her, "really?" Looking at her curious and surprised looked Su Yan chuckled a little and replied with a light smile, "yes, but you should know that I am talking if I take them all on at once... I will probably be able to handle three of them at once, maximum. You might be able to take them on as well, with your current mastery of those skills and poisons now."

Xia Ning Chang again looked a bit surprised at the praise and smiled. Although she was now a bit more good in fights with her new skills. She still doesn't have much experience in fighting so she didn't know how powerful and dreadful she can be.

A minute later, as they continued to sense the clashes between the two groups. They could tell by the changes in the auras that the seven elders were of no match against their opponents and would lose within minutes now.

Su Yan thought for sometime and suddenly asked, "hey, Ning Chang, do you want to try fighting them?". Xia Ning Chang's only reply to the sudden question was, "...what?".

They suddenly heard a voice from a few feet away from them, "well, if you two want to go fight, then go. Just be careful.", the two girls turned towards the voice and saw Yang Feng coming towards them with a light smile on his face.

"... Should we?", Xia Ning Chang asked Yang Feng inquiringly to which he again said that it was up to them if they wanted to fight, but they should be careful as well. Suddenly, they felt a change from the battle of the two groups. Four of the seven auras of the elders had suddenly vanished, with three of them too weak, on the verge of vanishing as well. But the other five auras felt no different from the start to finish.

They then felt two of the five, separate from their group and approaching war city, more specifically the area where a few hundred people were evacuating through war city, while the other three went towards the three remaining elders. They also saw with their divine sense that Yang Kai had left the Mansion with a team of people, including all of his Blood Warriors, Ling Taixu and many others, all of them heading to the same place of evacuation.

Yang Feng turned towards the two and said, "go ... But try not to kill them, only intercept them." The evil Kings still need to be alive so that they can force their way into the Capital City in as little time as possible.

The two then nodded and flew to the air, approaching their destination within moments. Yang Feng looked at them and thought, 'with their arrival here, Yang Bai and Shan Qing Luo wouldn't take long to get here ...'

A sharp glint passed his eyes as he thought, 'come and fulfill your role my 'dear' martial uncle.'

Yang Kai and his group looked at the two Evil Kings they had just encountered, the Profound Yin Ghost King and the Annihilating Poison King, who had attacked Yang Wei and Yang Zhao's group that was retreating from War City.

"Kekeke ... I didn't think I'd find someone here that could give me a decent challenge.", said the Profound Yin Ghost King while looking at Ling Taixu. Ling Taixu replied with "me neither."

On the other side, Annihilating Poison King started fighting with the Li Yuan Chun, the great elder from the supreme solitary sect, with Li Yuan Chun trying and failing to land a hit on the poison king.

Within a few minutes, it became visible that the two elders from Yang Kai's side could not win and could barely even stall for time. Suddenly, not giving the two elders any time to react and with Yin Ghost King intercepting them, the Poison King unleashed a concentrated poison strike, in the shape of an arrow, directly towards Yang Kai and his group that they, except for Yang Kai and the Blood Warriors, couldn't react to.

Just when the poison strike was about to land, a barrier formed in front of the group. The strike connected with the barrier before simply disappearing, along with the barrier.

This stopped the wild and hideous laugh of the poison king as he along with Yin Ghost King, Ling Taixu and Li Yuan Chun, looked towards the sky. The four saw as two young women descended to the ground, in front of the group.

Seeing the two young women and observing their auras, the faces of Yin Ghost King and Poison King hardened. They didn't expect to meet two more Above Immortal Ascension Realm Masters, this situation wasn't good for them, no matter how easy it looked for them to fight with Ling Taixu and Lu Yuan Chun, they still had to be serious about the fight. Now with these two women entering the fight, the situation was unfavorable for them.

Su Yan didn't try to talk or such, she simply took out her sword and slashed at Yin Ghost King, making him step back from Ling Taixu. Xia Ning Chang too waved her hand causing a visible white wave to materialize from her hand. Wherever this wave spread to, the poisonous mist from Poison King was neutralized.

"Who are you!?", asked the Poison King looking at Xia Ning Chang with wide eyes, his question however went ignored. The girl was able to neutralize his poison with just a wave of her hand, she was dangerous.

Su Yan's voice sounded as she said, "Sect Master, Elder Lu, Yang Kai, take everyone and retreat, we'll hold them off for now."

The three mentioned nodded as Yang Kai and the Blood Warriors started to evacuate the people much faster. Su Yan, after giving her order, dashed at the Yin Ghost King and attacked him with her sword. Her attack were swift, deadly and most of all, followed by a frigid cold that even with his cultivation made her opponent feel frosty.

Yin Ghost King started to have trouble blocking her attack after 3 blows and had to move about to avoid them.

On Xia Ning Chang's side, the scene looked even more one sided. No matter what method the Poison King tried, he couldn't do anything to her. All of his attacks involved the usage of poison or direct attacks, which was useless in front Xia Ning Chang as she would simply use a technique to block the attack and use another poison or a powder pill to cancel out the poison he would spread around to effect her.

She was turning out to be his perfect nemesis. Not to mention that not only was she blocking all of his attacks and neutralizing his poison, her attacks were also powerful and difficult to dodge.

In a couple of minutes, Yang Kai had successfully evacuated the area. Seeing this, Su Yan and Xia Ning Chang used an attack that sent the two crashing into the ground. With this the two along with Ling Taixu and Lu Yuan Chun also retreated to the mansion.

In the mansion, after everyone had retreated. Yang Feng who was sitting with Meng Wu Ya said, "you should use your Heavenly Palace now that everyone has entered the mansion."

Meng Wu Ya looked at him for a moment, he still couldn't figure out what it was that Yang Feng wanted to do by isolating the mansion from outside world, even though he could have left here anytime, taking along his people as well. But Yang Feng didn't want to share any information about his thoughts.

Meng Wu Ya sighed and took out something that looked like a shining golden and transparent rectangle shape piece. He then floated into the sky and started chanting as golden runes started to surround him. In mere moments the piece started to expand and swiftly covered the entire area of Yang Kai's Mansion.
