“Master, I am ready.”
The female Zerg was half-leaning against the headboard, with several cushions thoughtfully placed under his waist by the considerate male. His white shirt was unbuttoned completely, revealing his standard eight-pack abs.
Rhys’s striking long hair spread across the dark bedsheets, with a few playful silver strands hidden between the shirt and his skin, creating an irresistible urge to explore further.
He Qin was momentarily stunned. Even though they had been intimate many times, he would still find himself captivated by Rhys’ unintentional allure at certain moments.
“Master?”
Rhys wasn’t doing it on purpose this time; he hadn’t anticipated that the routine mental power nurturing would turn into something else entirely in the male lord’s mind.
“Cough, lie down…” He Qin choked a bit on the saliva pooling in his mouth, all while preventing Rhys from sitting up.
Rhys left just enough space for He Qin to sit next to him. He Qin closed his eyes and materialized his mental power threads.
With professional and regular training, He Qin’s use of mental power had improved by leaps and bounds recently. Unlike Ryan’s golden threads, He Qin’s tangible mental power threads were uniquely black.
Although the male Zerg’s mental power threads could be controlled and wouldn’t cause a tactile sensation to those they touched, seeing the black threads, which were part of the master, gradually approach, Rhys’ skin tightened, and his abdominal muscles became more defined.
“Relax.”
At the sound of the male’s voice, Rhys immediately relaxed, and He Qin controlled the black mental power threads to gently touch and probe Rhys’ abdomen before quickly sinking below the skin.
The egg, not yet encased in a hard shell, was surrounded by the chaotic black mental power threads. The egg seemed to sense the pull of its bloodline, moving closer to the threads with each shift.
In He Qin’s mind, he saw this scene: a pale yellow egg in a dark environment, moving from left to right like it had found an intriguing toy, always touching his mental power threads with each pass.
These days, He Qin would take time each day to infuse the egg with mental power. He could clearly sense the little one’s growth, from initially weak and dim to now lively and bouncing around. He finally understood how crucial the male father’s mental power was for the egg.
“This little one is too mischievous. I bet it’ll be a little tyrant when it’s born.” He Qin retracted his mental power threads and playfully patted Rhys’ abdomen.
“No, under Master’s guidance, he will surely be an outstanding Zerg.”
The renowned Zerg Major General only showed such a gentle and indulgent expression when he was with this male zerg.
He Qin looked up, and their gazes intertwined tenderly.
He lifted his leg over the female Zerg’s waist, half-kneeling on the bed with his legs apart. To avoid putting pressure on the little one, he used his waist and legs for support, leaning his head closer to Rhys.
The two engaged in an intimate and profound exploration of the relationship between partners.
After their exploration, both ‘participants’ had lips that were red and swollen, as if they had eaten a handful of hot peppers.
“Knock, knock.” The sound of knocking interrupted their intimacy. “Lord He Qin, Major General Rhys, the humans sent to pick you up from Earth have arrived.”
“Got it, tell them to wait a moment.” He Qin sighed and reluctantly got off his partner.
The male Zerg’s frustration from being unsatisfied made Rhys wish he could send the humans away and continue the wonderful ‘exchange’ with his master.
“Hurry and get dressed. Enzo’s people are still waiting at the door.” He Qin placed a gentle kiss on the female Zerg’s forehead, then hurried off the bed to find the clothes they needed to wear today.
Despite everything, He Qin knew what was important. He had always regarded the negotiation matters between the two planets as his top priority.
Naturally, He Qin didn’t need to personally handle the diplomacy. Otherwise, the negotiation team brought by Barton would lose their purpose.
During the morning’s negotiation session, He Qin only needed to sit in the main seat and silently listen to the professionals from both sides engage in relentless debate.
Finally, the two sides reached an agreement on the topic of ‘scope and frequency of contact for ordinary citizens.’ After seeking He Qin’s approval, they signed a small page of the friendly diplomatic intent document.
It took them a full four hours to complete just one topic of the negotiation, and it was the least controversial one.
Hundreds of remaining items were still waiting to be finalized.
He Qin slumped his hands dejectedly, feeling too exhausted to even walk.
“Leave the subsequent negotiations to Barton’s team. You only need to review the reports submitted each day, confirm with Mr. Barton, and then stamp the appropriate seals,” Rhys said, accurately locating the huddled-up He Qin in a corner of the restaurant, carrying a few of the male’s favorite dishes.
“Really?” He Qin’s face lit up with joy.
He Qin wasn’t afraid of responsibility or hardship, but he was not suited for politics. He preferred the straightforwardness and obedience required in the military over the treacherous political arena.
“But I don’t know how to read reports.” Although he didn’t have to report to the negotiation site every day, he now faced the daunting task of reviewing reports.
He Qin pouted, poking at his food absentmindedly until it was all mashed up.
He wasn’t very skilled at reading reports or learning theoretical knowledge, and Rhys knew this well.
Rhys thought for a moment and then suggested to the male, “How about I summarize the important information from the reports for you? That would make it much easier to understand.”
In the central star system, this task would usually be handled by the adjutant, Jack. Now, Rhys was more than willing to act as He Qin’s assistant, feeling honored to help him.
Rhys swapped the food that He Qin had mangled with his untouched portion and finished the male Zerg’s meal without any hesitation.
The Barton team had a significant number of female Zergs, and only a small portion of them went to the negotiation venue today, with the rest staying at the hotel.
Influenced by the humans’ positive attitude towards life from the other night, Ivan felt much better and decided to accomplish his goal of going out alone today.
He went to the first floor of the hotel, to a place humans called a ‘bar’. After some internal struggle, he took the first step and placed an order, “H-hello, could I have a juice, please?” Imitating the young male Zerg, he ordered a simple juice.
Luckily, the human waiter knew nothing about Ivan’s identity or past.
“Here’s your juice. Enjoy.”
Just as Ivan took the glass, inwardly celebrating his first successful solo order, a few malicious voices came from behind him.
“Tsk, isn’t this the female Zerg who’s always hiding behind Lord He Qin? What’s his name again?”
“I think it’s Ivan, the one abandoned by the Qi family.”
“I heard that Lord Qi Lun likes to share his female Zergs. Who knows how many times he’s been passed around? Hahaha.”
“I can’t believe such a lowly female Zerg has the nerve to cling to Lord He Qin.”
Jealousy can breed malice, regardless of whether it’s on Earth or among the Zergs. Without the male Zerg’s protection, Ivan became the target of several female Zergs’ ridicule and mockery.
They cornered Ivan, their venomous words wounding him to the point where he almost lost his ability to fight back.
“I… I didn’t…” His trembling hands caused the juice to spill all over his chest, soaking his clothes.
“What do you mean, you didn’t? Shameless female Zerg.”
Ivan’s body curled up, trembling. It felt like he had been dragged back to the Qi family, back to those dark days when he was constantly bullied by other female Zergs.
They sat on the bar’s sofa, enjoying the sight of Ivan’s helpless and pathetic state, which was so different from his obedient demeanor in front of He Qin.
The front desk clerk initially wanted to intervene, but seeing the arrogant attitude of the female Zergs, he decided he didn’t have the courage to provoke these terrifying aliens and retreated behind the counter.
The female Zergs excessively poured various drinks and alcohol over Ivan’s head, their laughter echoing throughout the first floor.
“Hey, you guys, what are you doing?”
Roy had originally come to find He Qin during his break. He almost got stopped at the hotel entrance by the Zerg female soldiers guarding the door, but after showing the pass He Qin gave him, he was allowed in.
He was startled by the unusual laughter coming from the lobby. Following the direction of the sound, he walked into the bar.
To his surprise, he saw several female Zergs surrounding Rhys’s friend, constantly mocking and belittling him.
Roy pushed aside the Zergs blocking Ivan, not caring that he might dirty his beloved military uniform, and helped the despondent Ivan up.
“A human?” One of the female Zergs exclaimed in surprise.
Sure enough, the uniform indicated he was the human soldier who had a pleasant conversation with Lord He Qin the other day.
“You’re quite something, just a few days on Earth, and you’ve already hooked up with a human male?” Another female Zerg rolled her eyes and stood in front of Roy, glaring at Ivan’s now unfocused eyes.
Damned humans, despicable females, none of them were any good.
“Hey, Xiao Qin, do you want to know what interesting thing just happened?” Roy suddenly took out his phone, pretending to make a call to He Qin.
Roy believed that not wasting words on “fools” was the best decision.
“Hey, is he reporting to Lord He Qin?”
“Let’s go, or we’ll be in trouble when the male Zerg arrives.”
The female Zergs scattered hurriedly and ran back to their rooms upon hearing He Qin’s name.
See, those who only know how to bully the honest ones all left on their own.
Ivan seemed to be in shock, remaining silent and motionless. Roy had to ask the front desk to confirm Ivan’s room number and half-drag, half-carry him to the room.
He looked around the room and finally found an electric kettle in the corner of the cabinet.
“Here, drink some water.”
When the kettle beeped, Roy handed Ivan a cup filled with hot water.
“Th-thank you.” The heat of the cup brought Ivan back to reality. Still shaken from what had happened, he shakily expressed his gratitude to the human soldier.
Roy, accustomed to doing as he pleased, lounged in a chair as if he were at home, with one leg draped over the armrest.
With a face as stern as Major General Rhys’s but a personality so soft, Roy looked thoughtfully at the female Zerg sitting on the bed, staring blankly while holding a cup of water.
“Is there something you want to say? I’m a professional ‘trash can,’ the kind that forgets everything after listening,” Roy said with a teasing smile.
As a longtime single straight man, Roy could talk about anything with his brothers, but faced with the dazed female Zerg, he felt unusually anxious.
He could only resign himself to being a qualified ‘trash can.’
Despite the significant emotional blow, Ivan remembered the little male Zerg’s earlier advice: not to reveal his true identity to humans.
He chose to share only part of his true experiences, pouring out his suppressed emotions from these past years.
“Why not tell Xiao Qin about this? If he knew what they did, he would definitely stand up for you,” Roy said, growing increasingly angry and agitated as he listened to the Zerg’s story.
He couldn’t believe that the Zerg society still adhered to archaic systems reminiscent of Earth’s ancient times.
Initially, he thought that due to the rarity of male Zerg, the Zerg society was just slightly biased towards males in some social resources.
He understood this, as Earth’s women had struggled for centuries without achieving complete fairness.
But now, it was clear that ‘slightly biased’ didn’t cover the excessive favoritism shown towards male Zerg.
In such a distorted society, ordinary female Zerg seemed to lack personal freedom and dignity.
“I can’t always rely on Lord He Qin; he has his own life to live,” Ivan said with a bitter smile, a single tear from his beautiful left eye quickly soaking into his clothes.
He knew that asking the little male Zerg or even Rhys for help would make things much easier.
But deep down, a voice told him he couldn’t do that because these malicious glances and words were burdens he would have to bear alone sooner or later.
Escaping from the Qi family was already an immense stroke of luck for him; how could he trouble the little male Zerg to back him up?
Moreover, if a female Zerg had to be repeatedly protected by a male Zerg, he would have no dignity left in Zerg society.
“At the very least, you need to learn to fight back. People like them, oh no, female Zerg like them, only bully those who don’t resist,” Roy said, moving to sit beside the Zerg, offering heartfelt advice.
Roy was born in a war-torn country. Even before the alien invasion, his nation was one of the poorest on Earth. Growing up amidst graves and battlefields, Roy understood the concept of ‘might makes right’ from a young age.
Without a strong fist, survival in his country was a pipe dream.
At just three years old, he had witnessed a neighbor, who didn’t know how to fight back, being forced onto the battlefield. That kind boy, used as cannon fodder, died quickly in the war, leaving his family unable to retrieve his body.
“I’m trying…” Ivan’s weak voice showed just how fragile he felt.
It was like when he was bullied in the Qi family—he wanted to resist but always felt a heavy wall in front of him, suffocating him and preventing him from raising his head.
“Forget it,” Roy waved dismissively. He realized that Ivan couldn’t bring himself to defend his dignity in the short term.
Roy picked up the red phone that had fallen on the bed. The Zerg didn’t know how to lock it, so he easily unlocked it and added his contact information. “At least here on Earth, if they ever do this again, call me anytime.”
In Roy’s perception, someone as handsome and refined as Ivan should stand proudly before the world, displaying his confidence and strength.
“If there’s anything, I’ll bear it for you…”
“Bear it for you…”
“For you…”
In the sparsely furnished room, echoing with the rugged voice of a man, mostly just a bed present, the echoes bounced off the walls.

Early sensitive and fragile female Zerg being comforted by the ‘gentle and silly loyal dog’ human attacker.
