Major General, a Male Zerg has been found on the battlefield!!

In the Chinatown of a certain district in City C, inside an unremarkable barbecue restaurant, more than a dozen men filled up the private room. Hearing footsteps approaching, they all turned their heads to look at the door simultaneously.

Unfortunately, it was just the restaurant server and not the person they were waiting for.

“The usual for you guys?” The server, an Asian man, had a white towel draped over his shoulder with the words “Chinese” written on it.

The Asian server seemed very familiar with them, indicating this wasn’t their first time here.

“Start with ten pounds of lamb, then add several servings of vegetables. We have new friends today, so we can’t just eat meat,” replied Zhuo Yan.

This Asian barbecue restaurant was recommended to the group by He Qin. The first time they tried it with skepticism, the men fell in love with the authentic ‘lamb’ here and now come every time they gather.

As soldiers who exercise a lot, they would eat tens of pounds of meat each visit, and over time, the owner became good friends with them.

All the servers knew that this private room was always reserved by the owner for these men and couldn’t be booked by unknown guests.

“Let me get you five cases of beer first. Call me if you need more.” The server looked surprised but quickly resumed his casual demeanor. Soldiers frequently change units, but he had never seen these men bring new friends.

“By the way, where’s Xiao Qin? On a mission?”

The Asian server closed the menu and glanced around, noticing the absence of the young man who always accompanied them but was never made to drink.

“Long time no see.”

This restaurant had also been severely affected by the last war, and the owner had personally led the repairs. He Qin pushed the door a bit too hard, causing it to hit the white wall and bounce back.

A layer of plaster dust fell off in front of everyone.

“Uh, sorry…” He Qin smiled awkwardly, scratching his head.

The youth’s fair, collagen-filled face turned red in an instant. In the eyes of his comrades, he looked like a kid who had made a mistake and was apologizing cutely.

It made them want to forgive him immediately!

“No problem, no problem. Xiao Qin, come sit down. You have to try some of the new dishes the owner learned today.” The Asian server smiled wryly, inviting He Qin and the two new faces to sit.

As the server walked to the door, an arm suddenly blocked his path. The force was well-controlled, stopping just before touching his chest, without brushing against his clothes. “I have professional repair personnel. Tell your boss someone will come to fix it tomorrow.”

He looked up and met a pair of golden eyes. The man’s aura was so overwhelming that the server could hardly breathe. His legs lost the strength to stand, and he could only lean against the door for support.

This was a natural physical reaction to encountering a strong presence. The Asian server dared only to respond with “Got it,” and as the man’s arm moved away, he scrambled out of the room.

Though everyone knew this Zerg Major General was He Qin’s partner, his stern demeanor and high-ranking military aura made the usually boisterous soldiers instantly quiet down. Even the most rowdy among them now sat up straighter than anyone else.

“Hahahahaha, what are you guys doing?” He Qin was amused by the scene, bending over with laughter. These men, who were normally fearless and unrestrained even in front of their captain, were suddenly sitting in strict military posture.

Laughing heartily, He Qin wrapped an arm around Rhys’ waist and cleared his throat. “Let me formally introduce everyone: this is my partner, Rhys.”

“H-hello…” This was the first time Rhys had such close physical contact with the male zerg in public. Following the male lord’s prior advice, he greeted them proactively. The humans remained vigilant, making Rhys nervous as he wondered if he had made a mistake since entering.

“Alright, enough. You’re scaring my Rhys.” After seating Ivan and Rhys, He Qin meticulously washed their utensils with hot water, then feigned anger at the solemn men.

Was the male lord serving him just now? Rhys thought. Ever since the egg had come along, it seemed he was increasingly failing in his duties before the male lord. Sometimes the male lord moved so quickly that things were done before Rhys even had a chance to react.

“Wow, Xiao Qin, do you have a heart? This is Major General Rhys.”

“The famous hero of the Empire, a Zerg Major General, easily frightened? That’s impossible.”

“Kids grow up and only love their partners, not their brothers.”

“Captain, look at the kid you pampered. Now he treats you like this.”

The men who had been pointed out reverted to their casual posture, playfully teasing He Qin in a banterous manner.

Frightened? Partner? Pampered? The expressiveness of Earth’s human language was surprisingly rich.

These humans talked about the male zerg this way, yet the male zerg seemed happy about it?

Rhys began to doubt the accuracy and scope of his adjutant’s research on Earth. It looked like he needed to tighten up on Jack’s intelligence-gathering abilities when he returned.

“Aren’t you going to introduce your new friend?”

Ivan was seated with Rhys on his right and Roy on his left. Roy, pointing at Ivan, wore an impish smile, his mind clearly wandering somewhere mischievous.

“This is Rhys’ friend, Ivan,” He Qin introduced.

Roy found it amusing that the person beside him, despite having a stern face similar to the Major General’s, was acting timidly. Clearly, his personality shouldn’t be like that.

“Come on, have a drink. This is an Earth specialty; you must try it.”

Roy took a new beer from the crate behind him, opened the cap thoughtfully, and filled Ivan’s glass to the brim.

Rhys observed all this from the other side. Seeing that Ivan wasn’t uncomfortable, he didn’t intervene.

Before becoming a soldier, he had undergone training to handle alcohol. So, despite the humans’ constant toasts, the small amount of alcohol in his glass was no challenge for Ivan, who happily drank it down.

In this modest little room, there was no language discrimination or disdainful glances. Influenced by the open and straightforward nature of the humans, Ivan gradually let down his guard.

The restaurant owner had moved to Country M three years ago. At the time, he noticed that Chinatown only offered modified Chinese food catering to local tastes and lacked a decent skewer shop. Coming from a place where skewers were a staple three times a day, he spent two months learning the craft at a skewer shop in his hometown to ensure authenticity before opening his own restaurant.

The hot lamb skewers, sprinkled with cumin and chili powder, smelled irresistible. The men, sitting with their legs spread and sleeves rolled up to their muscular arms, devoured skewers every few seconds. The ice-cold beer in their glasses was never-ending. The lively atmosphere was filled with eating and chatting.

“Xiao Qin, have you put on some weight? Looks like the Zerg haven’t mistreated you,” someone teased.

“Nonsense, I’m still… still growing,” He Qin retorted.

Alger, sitting on He Qin’s right, tried to pinch his chubby cheek with his greasy hand. However, he was sobered by the warning glance from the Major General on He Qin’s right and reluctantly redirected his hand to the lamb skewer instead.

He Qin had also taken off his jacket and rolled up his sleeves, eating lamb just like the other men.

“Major General Rhys, thank you for taking care of Xiao Qin all this time,” Zhuo Yan said, standing up to fill Rhys’ empty glass with beer.

During the month He Qin was gone, the whole team’s morale was low, surrounded by a heavy atmosphere. Zhuo Yan knew this was due to their worry about their younger brother venturing alone into an alien race, and their reluctance to see him go.

Now, seeing firsthand that Xiao Qin was treated like a treasure among the Zerg, and knowing his straightforward and sometimes naive nature, Zhuo Yan realized the Major General must have put in a lot of effort to take such good care of him.

“Hey, you can’t drink that,” He Qin said, noticing just in time as Rhys brought the glass to his lips. He quickly dropped his skewer and snatched the glass away.

Zerg females were supposed to maintain close relationships with their males but had no dietary restrictions during pregnancy. Their robust bodies could even handle alcohol without any issues during this period. So, Rhys accepted the toast, intending to drink it.

“Hey, Xiao Qin, really? You’re even controlling the Major General’s drinking?” someone exclaimed.

When the captain stood up, it already drew enough attention, but He Qin’s strong reaction made the men all shift their gazes to them.

Apparently, He Qin hadn’t told the brothers about Rhys being pregnant. These straight-thinking men wouldn’t have imagined that Rhys was currently unable to drink due to his condition.

“It’s not about controlling drinking; it’s that he simply can’t drink now,” He Qin tried to explain in a roundabout way, attempting to reveal that Rhys was pregnant.

Judging by their puzzled looks, it seemed his approach wasn’t working.

He decided to be more straightforward. “He’s in the gestation period, which means he’s pregnant!”

The room fell silent for a few seconds, then exploded with noise.

The waiter outside ran in multiple times to check if they were under attack.

“So, the Major General is a female?”

“No, Rhys is a female Zerg.”

“Ah, I remember now. Xiao Qin was transformed on the battlefield into a male Zerg, and that’s why he was taken away.”

“Exactly. I’m a male Zerg, and Rhys is a female Zerg. The baby in his belly is ours.”

Talking about this made He Qin extremely proud. Like a lion claiming its territory, he announced the news while wrapping his arm around Rhys’ waist.

“I never thought Xiao Qin would be the first among us to become a father.”

The men offered their sincere congratulations and raised their glasses to celebrate once again. This time, the toast was directed at He Qin instead of Rhys.

Although beer isn’t very strong, for someone like He Qin who couldn’t hold his alcohol, it was enough to get him drunk.

After a few rounds, He Qin was already dozing off in Rhys’ arms.

Later, they brought out a dozen bottles of foreign liquor. With the mixture of drinks, Roy also got drunk and started leaning heavily on Ivan’s shoulder.

At first, Ivan would tremble with fear even at He Qin’s approach. Although he had improved a bit, he still wasn’t the type to let an Earth male lean on him easily.

Seeing the muscles on the man, Ivan knew Roy wasn’t light. He barely managed to support him with one hand, glancing around the room. Most of the humans were drunk, either lying on the floor or slumped over the table.

The only one who could save him, Rhys, was busy taking care of his own drunk mate.

“Why are you acting so cold… when you’re clearly happy…” Roy slurred, his speech barely comprehensible.

Ivan tried to support the heavy human body with one hand while fending off Roy’s flailing arm. However, he could only control one of Roy’s hands, and the other eventually succeeded in its aim.

Roy’s left hand landed on Ivan’s neck, causing him to lose strength. With that, Roy’s head completely buried into his neck.

“If… if anyone bullies you, just fight back…” Roy muttered before passing out, smacking his lips.

Ivan used all his strength to try pushing the human away, but Roy’s drunken stubbornness kept him clinging tightly to the slender neck of the Zerg female, refusing to let go.

After several failed attempts, Ivan gave up. Since the man was only sleeping on him and wasn’t doing anything inappropriate, he resigned himself to the situation and let Roy hold him quietly.
