Chapter 62. After the Duel
Blair, after having defeated Camula, watched as the Shadow realm collapsed. She stumbled from the energy being sapped from her body, but didn’t even bother to notice as she rushed to Rakki’s side. “Rakki! Rakki!” She yelled while nudging his body, and poking his face. “He has no energy…” Dark Magician Girl spoke while appearing beside her. Blair glanced at Dark Magician Girl. “What does that mean!?” She asked frantically while still touching and prodding Rakki’s unconscious body.
Dark Magician Girl frowned as she thought, finally coming up with an answer, however she didn’t seem to like it. “Gifting your own energy might help speed up his recovery, however in the state you’re in, it would be much safer to let him recover naturally.” Blair stared at Rakki’s sleeping face, contorted in pain as he lay unconscious.
“How would I even give him my energy?” She asked, Dark Magician Girl answered with a slight blush. “Since Energy is lost easily, the closer to a person the better. Most of the time, hand contact is alright, but in this instance where every once of energy is valuable, Kissing would-” Before Dark Magician Girl could finish explaining, Blair had already begun plunging her tongue in Rakki’s mouth.
I felt tired and thirsty. Like I had run a marathon in a desert. Water was all I could think of in my dreaming mind. I felt as if I may go insane if it were to go on too long. Until I felt the vital fluid rush down my throat. I quickly gulped down the refreshing fluid and felt my body becoming lighter as energy rushed into my veins. With my new energy, I grabbed the source to keep it still as I kept drinking more.
My tongue felt something invade my mouth, and immediately went to feel the intruder. I felt the object was the largest source of what my body needed, and instinctively held tighter while my tongue wrested with whatever this was.
As I gained more energy, and started to wake, opening my eyes to see Blair’s happiest expression I had ever seen. “Feeling better?” She asked with the grin of a cheeky Minx. I leaned up slowly while getting my bearings, a wave of dizziness hit me, and I almost fell back on the ground. “Looks like you still need some more.” She said, pressing her lips against mine. Too stunned from her sudden action, I felt the same feeling as before and pieced two and two together.
I was unsure whether I should be doing this, but my lack of strength and jumbled mind let Blair continue. In fact, as she pulled away a small amount, I pushed forward to continue a little longer. The feeling of having my strength restored was addicting. I felt Blair hold back a smile as she placed her tongue back inside my mouth, letting me play around with it as I pleased. We stopped for a moment to breathe, and in that time I felt I could finally stand.
As I did so, Blair helped keep me upright, letting me lean on her shoulders. She looked at me with pure ecstasy, and adoration. I frowned at her, but it didn’t seem to budge her mood in the slightest. ‘I really did it now…’ I thought, wondering if I would have to take responsibility for wooing someone so young. I had done my best to keep her at some semblance of distance, but despite being young, she was aggressive and patient. She understood I had a wall up to stop her from going too far, but when an opportunity came to tear that down, she jumped at it with all her might.
She giggled while feeling my cheek. “You sure are energetic already~” She finished while going on her tiptoes to gain some height. “Can I have some of my energy back?” She whispered provocatively, making me sputter from where the hell she learned this language. ‘Or who…’ I thought while squinting at Dreamsprite in my deck. I sighed as I turned back at Blair. “Let’s… Take it one step at a time…” I muttered, avoiding her direct line of sight. She giggled some more as she poked my nose. “I knew you would say that. It’s ok, I know you’re shy~”
I scowled, but didn’t say another word for her to twist around back at me. I then heard groaning from just over to my right, and turned to see the source. It was Camula, unconscious, but still mumbling something in her sleep. I stared at her for a bit, my dumb decision playing back in my mind, and the consequences of my actions. Telling her about my past was mostly a blur, but I knew what I had done. It aggravated and embarrassed me that I did, just to answer why I let her win. ‘Her eyes reminded me of my own… Couldn’t I have just said that? But no, I had to fucking spill my guts over trying to keep her alive from that fucked up card she was about to use. I figured I would be a voodoo doll for a week before Jayden the Main Character would save me, but…’ “Ugh…”
“We should take her…” I said with a sigh, and started over to pick her up, but Blair stood planted while grasping onto my shirt. I glanced back at her, but her long hair covered her eyes from being seen. “I just got you back…” She muttered with a frown. “She was going to take you from me forever…” She continued with a little more abrasiveness in her voice. “She is a vampire, she must have charmed you! We should just leave her-”
I flicked Blair’s forehead, and she grabbed it from the pain. I frowned while looking at Blair’s scared expression. She was worried if she angered me, but she also seemed confused over why I would be angry in the first place. I placed my finger under Blair’s chin, and raised it up so her head was where I needed. She let out a gasp before I placed my lips over hers, consequences be damned. If she was mine, then I could do what we both wanted. "No one will take you from me." I muttered as our lips separated for a moment.
Blair let out an excited moan as her hands tugged on my hair, and I lifted her up. When I did, she wrapped her legs around my waist to help hold herself up as we embraced. She then pulled back to look at me with glee. I felt my face turn into a larger smirk than I normally allowed. I quickly tried to push it down, but Blair kept my hands behind her back as she stared at me. “What are you doing?” I asked as Blair continued to stare at me.
She kissed me again, but quickly pulled away to stare at me. When she did, her face lit up a few moments and she hugged me tightly. “You look good when you smile…” She whispered with a bright smile, making my face warm in embarrassment.
I bit my lip to stop my lips from curling upwards again as I looked at Blair again. The moment I let go, my face betrayed me and I did what I thought I would never do again. I smiled happily. Looking at Blair, and knowing how much she would go through, not to lose me, made me happy. I sighed and turned away to keep my face neutral, even while Blair giggled at me. After she settled down, I finally spoke my mind. “I know what she did, pissed you off. And I’m glad you're mad for my sake.” I patted Blair’s back as I glanced at her unamused expression. She really hated Camula with a passion.
“But… She only is doing this to get back the people she loved…” I continued while staring at the resting woman. “If I was taken away, how far would you have gone to get me back from her?” I asked Blair, looking directly in her eyes, not allowing her to run from my question. Blair sweated, as the idea of that happening made her grip onto me extra tight. Her fingernails dug through my shirt and into my skin as she silently pondered. I gave her a quick kiss to bring her back, and she eased up the tension she gripped me with.
I could tell from how often her constant advances were, she did love me a lot, that was only a concoction for insanity if I were to suddenly leave. I had seen it before, I had been ‘it’ before… I took a deep breath while studying Blair’s eyes. “She won't take me away…” I glanced at Camula's neck to see she had indeed lost her choker. “Look.” I motioned with my head while moving Blair, still attached to my waist, over. Blair looked at Camula with disdain. “She lost her shadow item… She can’t take me away.”
Blair studied Camula silently as I continued to explain. “Give her a chance…” Blair frowned as she continued to stare at the in pain Vampire. I noticed her eyes wandered around behind me, so I turned to see what she was glancing at, however nothing caught my attention. “Fine.” Blair answered, bringing my attention back to her. Her unhappy and disdainful expression had been wiped away like they were never there. 'Sometimes I wonder if she is Bi-polar...'
