Jujutsu Kaisen: Nah I'd Adapt (Completed)

Chapter 5: Toji Zenin

[Author Note]

Toji is awesome.

This is my excuse to glaze him.

He's top 10 in the verse, fight me.

__________

Toji Zenin, the trash of the Zenin clan. He was born with a heavenly restriction that prevented him from awakening cursed techniques and having an ounce of cursed energy.

Heavenly restrictions come in many different forms. While they can be strong, they impose massive handicaps. Cursed energy restrictions give one a weak body in exchange for a massive amount of cursed energy.

However, the one Toji was born with could be said to be positive. The lack of any cursed energy with maximized physical ability. While it is called a restriction, it can hardly be one due to the massive benefits that are given.

To any sorcerer, his lack of cursed energy makes him nearly undetectable to anyone who isn't tracking him with their eyes or having a special trait like the Six Eyes.

Even then, the physical ability given to a heavenly restriction user makes them fast enough that even if you try to follow them with your eyes, you will quickly lose track of them.

That makes anyone with this restriction the worst matchup for sorcerers relying heavily on their cursed energy for detection.

Aside from being invisible, the other main benefit is having maximized physical ability. This shouldn't be understated since their raw power and speed make them a nightmare for most people to go up against.

Being born with a heavenly restriction can make someone surpass any cursed technique that could've been awakened. Two are widely known, and depending on how you look at them, they can either be amazing or one of the worst things to happen to a person.

(A/N - "I'm assuming only two are widely known since we only know of Mechamaru and Toji/Maki's heavenly restrictions.")

To the Zenin clan, Toji fell in the latter category.

Bullied and beaten by his family for something he had no control over, Toji knew that he would never be accepted in the clan, given he didn't awaken a cursed technique. So, with that knowledge, he left the clan after growing strong enough to destroy it single-handedly.

Once he fully awakened his heavenly restriction, the clan regretted everything they had done to him. It ended up being a matter of his whim whether the Zenin clan existed, as nobody could stop him. Not even the fastest sorcerer alive could make him fall.

While heavenly restriction users have been born in the past, none have been like Toji. Ten Shadows? Projection Sorcery? Who gives a shit.

Toji Zenin

Ever since I saw the Gojo brat, I knew he was supposed to be the strongest. Deciding to look at what the fuss was about left me surprised since a child could see me out of everyone. He was able to see me.

While I knew he would change the world of Jujutsu, I couldn't help but think about the new 'prodigy' of the Zenin clan. The Zenin is filled with many desperate fools who think they have a chance of rivaling the Gojo clan.

These suspicions were even more confirmed when I saw the Zenin kid myself. He could've had potential if he had been born with the Ten Shadows, but he was painfully ordinary. Sure, he had a lot of cursed energy, but who cares if he can't even use it properly?

There are stories about Ten Shadows and Limitless Six Eyes users being equal in battle. The Zenin love their prized Ten Shadows and would freak out if a user wasn't tied to their clan.

I left the clan compound a few years ago to stay far away. Under normal circumstances, I wouldn't set foot back here, but I needed a few things.

*Cough, BLEH*

No matter how many times I do it, swallowing and spitting up a cursed spirit will never get normal, even for a freak like me.

Walking back into the clan was simple because of my lack of cursed energy, but I'd rather not be here longer than possible.

Walking down a 'secure' hall, I made my way towards my goal of coming back here. Stopping in front of a giant metal door that had a lock on it, I grabbed the lock and crushed it in my hands, shoving the door open.

A significant problem with killing curses is that they can't be fully exorcised without cursed energy. While they can be incapacitated with physical ability, cursed energy is required to deal with them.

As the door opens, I look around, taking in the mass amount of cursed tools around me. A wide smile then appears on my face.

'Inverted Spear of Heaven'

'Playful Cloud'

'Chain of a Thousand Miles'

'Soul Split Katana'

There seemed to be hundreds of cursed tools in here. I doubt the clan would care if some special-grade cursed tools went missing. I might as well take some of the 'normal' cursed tools since I wouldn't need to use a special-grade tool on curses grade 1 and below.

Unfortunately, they will figure out that something has been taken because of the broken lock, but no one in the clan can stop me in the first place.

Getting a hold of this cursed spirit was one of the best things a Heavenly Restriction user with zero cursed energy could have. It has a nearly infinite amount of storage while being invisible when consumed. After all, the organs of the invisible are also invisible.

After shoving many cursed tools into the cursed spirit, I swallowed it and headed for the exit.

It was time to get to work.
