Chapter 284: Am I Really That Dangerous?
The battlefield became still in awe while Uri's flame breath spewed out, refining the two Soul Formation Cultivators into withered husks of themselves. Their skin turned pure black and melted instantly, dripping to the ground as a pure liquid.
They didn't even have time to acknowledge the pain, as the Flame Dragon's breath was so absurdly fast it completely shattered everyone's worldview of the Tribulation Transcendence Realm. The residual flames left a hole in the sky, revealing the second layer of Space for all to see.

Even as the spatial tear closed, everyone was left dumbfounded by the show of power. Uri was a Flame Dragon, known for having strength well above their Realm, but this... this was too much!
Even William's unbelievable strength combined with the Original Strengthening Spear couldn't compare to Uri's flames. When he thought about it, William realized that the only way for him to deal with Uri would be to use Tier 6 Arrays, which had strength greater than the limits of the World itself.
Does that mean... he's reached into the Ascension Realm? William wondered. He didn't have to ask the System to know the answer to his question, it was obvious.
He smiled. "My good dragon, would you do me a favor and take care of these idiots?"
Uri revealed his large teeth to resemble a smile of his own. He gladly obliged to William's request, eager to show off his newfound strength once more. The Soul Formation Cultivators scrambled away in fear as Uri's mouth lit up again, signifying the apocalypse for them.
Vishnal and Perion had both recovered enough to move, but they didn't have enough time to escape. They could only shatter their remaining protective Artifacts that were meant as a last resort, hoping they'd be enough to survive Uri's flame breath.
The pillar of flames enveloped the battlefield once again, shattering the barriers that Vishnal and Perion had just raised in an instant. They closed their eyes and braced for their deaths as the flames enveloped their body, awaiting the burning sensation that would be their final experience before Hell.
But the expected death never came, even after a few seconds had passed. The world-ending flames that wanted to devour them were still spreading, but something was in their way and sent them around the pair from both sides.
Perion opened his eyes carefully to see a figure standing in front of them with a Magic Staff adorned with white gemstones in hand. Flames at the same level as Uri's were spilling out of the Dao Staff like a tidal wave, clashing against his opponent and canceling out the effect.
"Your Highness!" Perion's eyes lit up, causing Vishnal to open his eyes as well.
Their pale expressions cleared up, the two Pillars of Justice members relieved to see Supreme Left had arrived just in time, his true body at that. If he had been even a second later, the two would be goners.
"Didn't I tell you to be more diligent in your training?" Supreme Left berated the two subordinates when the flames died out. "I've said it time and time again: one day your silly mental attacks won't work on your enemies. You need to commit more time to developing your Magic Affinities."
He looked at Vishnal, "Especially you. You're in the Tribulation Transcendence Realm yet you rely on that Spear of yours? Your Light Magic is still C-Rank and you were born an E-Rank Manamatus! Thousands of years and you've progressed two levels, good job."
Vishnal looked downward with a hint of shame. Supreme Left was right, of course, but it never felt good to be talked down to in front of everyone. I'm a peak Cultivator, save me some face!
Though he'd never say it out loud. Especially not to the man that had just saved his life.
Supreme Left looked at William with a complicated expression. "It's you again. I knew I shouldn't have let you live that time."
When Supreme Left had first met William, he was already a potential threat to the Continent he ruled. With the ability to kill Golden Core Cultivators while still a normal person, it was obvious that William would become a monster-like figure in the future.
He had only spared William because a test revealed he had no talent for Cultivation. Who would have known that it was a lie!
He didn't know if Gu Dianlong had betrayed him, or if William had some special method to conceal his Cultivation Talent, but one thing was true: the boy shouldn't have been let go after that day.
You beat my Granddaughter in a duel and now I'm jealous? Sure, but that's not as important as your potential to destroy my family in a few hundred years.
Supreme Left had seen it before, when his childhood friend was killed because of an internal feud with someone else.
At the time, Supreme Left's friend was just a boy of fifteen years that had fought with a young man just a year younger. As time went on, though, that young man became a force to be reckoned with and used his power to end the grudge: by destroying everything his friend held dear.
His life, his house, and even his family were lost that day, and by the time Supreme Left learned about it, everything was all over. Supreme Left had gone on a mission at the time for his father and wasn't around to help his friend during that time of need.

If he had, perhaps it never would have happened. Perhaps his friend would still be alive...
William smiled, "Am I really that dangerous? I never asked for any of you to target me. If anything, I'm a harmless bystander with bad luck."
"Harmless? Ha-" Supreme Left choked for a moment. "How can you seriously call yourself harmless? I heard that you killed thousands of Sect Disciples in the Gravitas Ruins. Is that harmless?"
William scratched his head. At least he didn't say anything about the World Cores, Veins, whatever.
"And don't forget that you absorbed the World Cores in two areas. The Heavens won't stop sending Magical Beasts until you're dead! You're anything but harmless!" the blonde youth shouted.
"The Heavens? So, I was right then..." William muttered. He still didn't understand why the Heavens would go to such lengths because of a World Core, but it at least told him who his enemy should be.
The World hadn't done anything to him besides provide its energy. Even if he extracted its resources, the World wasn't the one spawning the Magical Beasts, but actually the Heavens. If he had to pick between the two, William would definitely side with the World.
Before he could think any further, another figure descended from the sky and landed next to Supreme Left. William didn't have to wait for the man to introduce himself, since the System did it for him.
