With a dry laugh, I then walked closer to the two of them, and it appeared as though the conversation they were having was very important because neither of them seemed to notice my arrival.

"I'm sure you know what I'm holding in my hand, aren't you?" I can make out Kaiser's voice, and at this very moment, he appears to be taking something out of his pocket. However, because he is facing away from me, I am unable to determine what it is that he is pointing at my mother.

"Here you are, Kaiser," The two of them then looked at me, and I could see Kaiser smiling gently at me. In the meantime, my mother's reaction was...
