Hp: The Outcast

Chapter 24: Ch.24 [Prototype]

I woke up early as usual and started my morning the same way I do every day with exercise. I ran around the manor for like an hour or so, after that I did about 100 push-ups, sit-ups and squats. I worked up some sweat, but it wasn't enough. I will increase the amount of sets the next day.

After the exercise was done, I went ahead and took a quick shower and had my breakfast. I would need to go to the orphanage again before I can come here. I will start my work here from today, but to do, so I will require some equipment. To make runes, I will need to etch the runes on the item to make it function as I want.

I also wanted to go to the bank, so I needed to talk to Gornok. I still don't understand how he figured out I was his son. I do suspect the Goblins, but there is still a possibility that they haven't done anything.

After showing my face at the orphanage and helping out with the chores, I was free to do what I wanted, so I left to get some shopping done. I told them that I was just going out for a while and would be back by evening, and so I left for diagon alley.

I was in the diagon alley, and I was doing some shopping for the runes. I would require small hammers, different types of chisels and files along with some ink. All of these were easily found at the Wiseacre's Wizarding Equipment.

I also went ahead and bought an Owl since I don't have one, and it is a little annoying to wait for someone to write to me so that I can write back. I bought a Black great horned owl and named him nimbus, because he was a little pudgy and feathery, he looked like a cloud.

I understood that it could be disastrous because I also have a snake. So I would need to be cautious with the two. After I bought Nimbus, I didn't take him with me. I still had one more stop to make at the bank. So I kept him at Eeylops Owl Emporium until I was done talking.

I arrived at Gringotts, I walked to the front and I said to the manager, "I would like to talk to my account manager please."

He hummed and rang a bell and another goblin came, and he said, "Tell Gornok that his young client is here." He turned to me and said, "Please wait for a moment, he will be with you shortly."

Dornok arrived after a minute or so. He looked at me and he looked tense. He came up to me and said, "Let's talk in private." I nodded and he took me to a room. We both sat down, and he poured some tea, and he asked, "How are you sir? Everything well with school?"

I took the cup from him and said, "Well, I am fine somehow, but you don't look alright, something the matter?"

He sighed deeply and said, "I am sorry, sir, but your inheritance test was leaked by one of our employees."

I looked at him and my fear came true. I looked at him, and he continued, "I don't know who he sold the information to, but whoever it was, wasn't a good chap. He was found dead in his house, his body was mangled and drained of blood."

I looked at him and asked, "Why did I hear about this? It seems like a serious matter."

He scoffed and said, "Wizards don't care what happens to us... we only found this out when we investigated on our own."

I hummed and asked, "Do we know for sure that he only sold this information to a person?"

He hummed and nodded and said, "Dumb bastard was dead within in hour after he got that stupid thing."

I sighed in relief, knowing that this was not distributed like hot cakes. I looked at him and asked, "What happened to the Test results?"

He looked at me and said, "You wouldn't need to worry about it anymore sir, we have destroyed the results, but there is still a chance that someone else might have seen it. But we have warned them not to talk about it, and the incident serves as a warning. I am sure that no one will bother to open their mouths."

I was still a little unsure, but there is no point in crying over spilled milk. I then looked at him and said, "Well, it became quite depressing."

He shook his head and said, "Well, it is a depressing matter..." He exhaled and said, "Oh well, why did you come today, sir?"

I nodded and said, "Well, I wanted to talk about investing in some muggle stocks."

He was kinda surprised, but he nodded and said, "We have contact with some muggle traders, but no wizards have ever asked for this service before."

I hummed and said, "Good, then I want you to buy some stocks for me."

He was confused but agreed. I then told him to buy Jack Henry & Associates, Cerner Corp, Best Buy Co, Idexx Laboratories, Apple, Microsoft and also invest in some game developers and game engines. I told him to buy more of Idexx Laboratories, best buy and Apple more than the others.

After that I left the bank, and then I went to the normal side of the world and bought stuff. Like Gameboys, Discmans, Watches and other small electronics like cameras and stuff.

After the shopping spree, I went to the Manor and set up a room for experiments. After the setup was done. I looked at the time, and it was starting to get late, so I went back to the Orphanage. I will start working on it tomorrow.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It's been a week since I started to live here. I have been working on the Rune and have been trying to use it to power small electrical devices like Gameboy, Discman, Camera and tape recorder.
I also started to document my findings in a journal. It took about 42 attempts, but I finally found success with it. I was able to power the Discman to play in the magical world without any interference from ambient magic.
The hard part was not the rune formation and logic, but the carving of the runes. It was hard to carve runes on cameras and stuff, so I took a different approach.
I used a soldering iron to carve ruins on the devices. It destroyed many devices, but it worked in the end.
But to make sure that it wasn't a fluke I tested it again with GameBoy, and it was now stable and supplied it with power, however these were the devices that required less power to operate with bigger devices like TV or fridge the modified version of the rune might not be able to power them.
I still required more knowledge as to how I could supply the machines with power without short-circuiting them.
I spent a few days testing my products to see if they were working or not, and I must say these things never stop. I have been playing Pokémon Red for about 215 hours, and it never turned it off, and it still works perfectly.
I was now ready to market my product. I couldn't have sold this stuff myself. I didn't have any idea of the market and if an 11-year-old boy came out with this stuff no one would believe me.
I wanted to keep my identity secret from the public, so I first thought about doing business with the Goblins, but after the whole debacle with my inheritance test I couldn't fully trust them.
So it had to be someone who had store outlets, could promote my products and would keep their promises. I could think of one family that could help me in making money as well as gain some political support. He can also help me get out of the orphanage.
The Greengrass's are also business people and were neutral towards the whole Wizarding wars. I could definitely work with them, but first I would need to make contact with them. I could send a letter with the prototypes to her so that she could set up a meeting.
So I decided to go with that, and I sent a letter to Daphne along with the prototypes with Nimbus.
Greetingsss Readersss,
Hey guys I hope you all liked the chapter. I have read a comment about will mc be blackmailed into marriage with Daphne and my answer is no. He will not. Instead of forcing it I have found some better way to make them interact more and naturally develope. So no need to worry about it.
