Chapter 23: Ch.23 Back to the begining.
Sitting near the window, I was looking out. The year ended now it was time for everyone to go home, but for me, it meant going back to the orphanage. I didn't want to stay there. After spending so much time in that large room with comfortable bed and actually good food... I just can't go back to the orphanage, but I don't know what to do. I don't want to run away from the orphanage, but I can't stay, as I was thinking about all this I heard.
"So Jon where what are your plans for this summer?" Ted asked, and the girls looked at me as well, apparently they were talking about what all of them were going to do.
I looked at Ted and said, "Well, now that I have a good handle on Runes I am thinking of putting it to practical use and might read some more books, teach myself something... new."
Victoria looked at me and asked, "How will you do that? We aren't supposed to use magic outside."
I looked at her and shook my head and hummed, "Well, I am working on it..."
Daphne looked at me and said, "If you don't mind, you can come to my house."
Everyone looked at her, and she said, "What?" She looked at me and said, "I'm trying to help him."
I smiled and said, "Well, thank you, Daphne, I'll think about it."
The Rest of the ride went on easy we talked and ate, and shortly we reached the station.
----------------------------------------------------------
We reached the king's cross station, and we all got off the train with our luggage and our pets. I got off the train and put my trunk down and stretched, I looked around and then suddenly Victoria grabbed my hand and was dragging me. Fortunately, was able to quickly pick up my trunk. She was walking through people and I said, "My hand will come off, Victoria slow down, where are you taking me?"
She was dragging me, and then she stopped just as suddenly. I put my trunk down and said, "We really need to work on this Victoria. You can't just drag me like a Muppet." I dusted my clothes and when I looked up I saw James and Lily Potter.
James had good height and rather good build his hair had some whites. Time has not been kind to this man. He looked tired, and it was apparent from his eyes. He was wearing a sweater vest, plain blue shirt and brown trousers.
Lily didn't even look that old. She looked the same as the photos we saw in the movies, she aged well, might have something to do with potions who know. They were an odd couple, seeing how she had radiant skin and no gray hair to be seen whatsoever. She was wearing a yellow sundress with white floral print. She also had a brown purse.
I looked at them and James looked at me and squinted and asked Victoria "Who is this young man Tori?"
I looked at Victoria and teasingly said, "Tori, huh?~"
Victoria's cheek was flushed, she looked at me, but then she looked forwards and said, "This is Jonathan Beeston, my friend, Jonathan these are my parents."
As soon as James heard my name, his expression changed. It looked like he had sucked on a lime wedge. He then looked at us. Victoria was still holding my hand, but now she was squeezing it tightly.
I held her hand and smiled. I looked at them and said, "Hello, I am Jonathan Beeston. I am your daughter's friend, it's nice to meet you guys." I offered my hand, and James reluctantly shook my hand it was a rather week grip he quicklu shook my hand and then continued to stare at me. Victoria and lily looked at James.
Lily then smiled and said, "So you are Jonathan, we have heard a lot about you from our daughter."
I smiled and said, "Nothing bad, I hope." She smiled while James did a little grunt.
She looked behind us and asked, "Did someone come to pick you up?"
I shook my head and said, "No, I didn't want to bother anyone, Matron, and the Sisters already have their hands full of us."
She looked at me and said, "We can drop you?" James didn't look that happy when Lily offered me a ride. On the other hand Victoria was excited to hear that, but I shook my head and said, "I do appreciate it, but it's not a problem for me... I will manage."
"What are you doing here?" A voice came from behind.
I turned around and it was Harry. I said "Harry" I nodded and continued "I am meeting your parents" then I turned around and said, "It looks like your children are here Mrs Potter, I would like to take my leave now."
I turned towards Victoria and said, "I will be going now Tori, but I will write you letters, okay." She nodded and said, "I'll write too." I nodded and then she suddenly hugged me. I was a little taken back, but I accepted it, why say no to free hugs.
Lily looked at Victoria and then at me and said, "Jonathan, Tori and Harry's birthday is in a month, you must come." Victoria was happy to hear that, but the two other guys were not too thrilled about it, specially James.
I smiled and nodded, "Thank you, Mrs. Potter, I will come. Okay, then Tori, I will meet you at your birthday party then."
I then left the station and took a taxi to the Orphanage. I took off a few meters away, I walked the rest of the distance. I reached the Orphanage and not many people were happy to see me return, it was mostly the kids.
Sister Jessica saw me, and she came walking, she had a smile on her face. She hugged me and said, "How are you, Jonathan... I have missed you." She then felt the clothes on me, and she looked at me and said, "You have grown... I can barely recognize you."
I chuckled and said, "Well, I have been eating a lot." She looked at me and chuckled awkwardly, and I realized that this wasn't in the best taste. I looked at her and said, "Well, I will go and meet with Matron."
However, Jessica said, "Ah, Matron is out, she is in Nottingham." Turns out she went there to teach some Nun's or something, I didn't quite understand, the bureaucracy of Churches are a little complicated. I really wanted to talk to her about the whole moving out thing.
I sighed and said, "Well, then I'll go to my room to rest." Sister Jessica smiled and ruffled my hair. I picked up my trunk and went to my room. I put my trunk on my bed and took my pouch out and got the mansion key for South-port. It acted as a port key as well.
I locked the door behind me and said, "South Port Mansion."
I was sucked in. Not only that, but I felt like I was twisted and squeezed through a hole and spat back at a different part of England. Fortunately, Cotton was inside the robes undisturbed and I successfully I didn't puke.
I dusted my clothes and got up and when I looked at the Manor gates with creepy vines and a little rust was forming on the gates. I opened the gates, it was very squeaky and the path to the Manor was made of Blue-stone.
The walls were made of cobblestone which had algae stuck to them. It was 3 stories tall with 1804 Sq ft. in size, it also included a garden and a pond. The house looked rather mordern compared to what I have heard from others it looked like a rather comfy manor.
I walked up to the wooden oak double door and used my key to open the door. When I opened it I thought I would find an old and dusty mansion, but it was on contrary, it was well-kept, though it did show some damage that damage didn't look like it was from wear and tear.
I walked inside the mansion and looked around and found a large portrait of an old man wearing green color robes with a gray color suit, and he had a cane in his hand. It wasn't like those magical portraits that talked, it was a normal one.
I took some steps in, and I asked, "Is anyone home?!" I thought that there would be a house-elf and surprisingly there was a lady house-elf who came to aid, she was wearing a clean looking toga.
She looked at me suspiciously and asked, "Who are you? Why are you here?"
I smiled and said, "My name is Jonathan... I am the son of Emilia House". When I said who I was she gasped and started to cry, she looked at the old man's portrait and said "The young miss's son has final come home."
She came up to me and said, "Heir, oh, how long have I been waiting for you to come." She looked happy.
I smiled and said, "Thank you for this warm welcome. Now may I know your name please?"
She gasped again and said, "Oh, heir, please don't say to me. I have been spending my life in hopes that I get to serve this house again..."
She cried a bit. I consoled her and promised never to use it, please. She then said, "I am Jeely, I will serve Heir to my fullest of capabilities."
I then asked, "Why are there normal portraits instead of the talking ones?"
Jeely answered, "It's because the founders believed that once you pass on you should pass on, there is no need for you to stay in the mortal world with these paintings."
I then thought that the founders of the family must be very elevated people to have such thoughts. I then asked, "So what if I wanted to ask some questions, who should I ask?"
Jeely answered, "Heir should look into the Master's office. It has the Head's Journal. It is meant for heirs, it tells them about the family rules and how to run our business, our property holdings and there should also be a journal in the office in which it recorded events that occurred."
I then asked, "Can you lead me to the office."
She led me to the office. It was on the second floor on the right-wing, it was the last room. I opened the room. It has lots of bookshelves with a vault. In the center was a pinewood desk.
-------------------------------------------------------
I was sitting at the desk and was finding the Journals, Jeely said it was in the top drawer but could only be opened by the master of the house or the heir.
I looked at it, and it had an engraving which was similar to the ring that I had. I aligned the ring and the drawer opened, it had the Journals. One of the Journals was black with gold string around the corner and the other was brown.
I looked at the black one first and found out that most of the money was still made from crops and wines, and it was being run on autopilot, and I also found out why the vault was almost empty compared to before. It was because my mom made a big withdrawal right after she went missing.
I read the journal and got the history lesson of the House Family and found that Fredric Gregory House was not really happy with my mom aligning herself with the light side, and he said to my mom that it was going to cost us everything, and it kinda did.
I saw the events that had conspired in this Mansion. It said it was raided by Death Eaters and Fredric got killed, so did many house-elves, and my mother was kidnapped by the death eaters.
She returned 7 and a half months later pregnant with me, and she had given a premature birth and due to complications, she had died after my birth. It said my birthday was August 5, 1980. It says I was then given to a muggle side because they thought I was a squib. I was sent to the Orphanage.
I then looked at the letter that Dumbledore had given me and was contemplating whether to open it or not. What if she hated me?
I opened the letter, there was a locket in it "
Dear son,
I will not be with you when you will be reading this letter. I am sure you have any questions about how you came to be and who your father is. But for now, all you need to know is that I love you. Even though there might be many people who will judge you based on your lineage based on who your father was... I want you to be strong for me, the world needs you. Dumbledore has promised to take good care of you. Be sure of yourself Jonathan, you are a House we always stand tall in face of adversity. You will be the one who will lead the wizarding kind to leave their old ways and make a new future. If you ever feel lonely, just open the locket. I am sorry that I couldn't be with you.
I love you
my son
Mom."
I opened the locket, it had a picture of Me and her. I cried a little when I looked at her picture.
From the letter, I found three things firstly I am loved by my Mother and secondly Dumbledore is a dick and thirdly there is no way that my mother willingly did anything with Moldy, and even he didn't know, so how did I come to be?
It was now 5:00 pm, I asked Jeely to make some food. And she made a hell of a fest for me. After eating, I had to leave, Jeely didn't want me to, but I told her that I would be back later.

After showing up in the Orphanage and eating a little at there, I went back to the manor. I got the room in the left-wing on the 2nd floor. I was lying on the bed when Cotton came out of the robes and slithered her way onto my chest.
She asked, "Father, what are you thinking about?"
I sighed and said, "I am thinking that I might be a messed up experiment?" I thought that because there is no way that Voldy had those feelings for anyone, I should ask Dumbledore about it. He must have some answers.
She looked worried, and I chuckled and said, "Don't worry about that."
I petted her head, and then I drifted off to sleep.

Greetingsss Readersss,
Hey guys I hope you all liked the chapter. I just wanted to ask if there are any ideas so how the stone might help Jon with making some runes. For as far as i can tell Philosopher's stone to me is more like a catalyst in a reaction so may be like it can help make a special ink that increases efficiency or something? Let me know what you think and I am working on a new project and it will be out soon, if you want to help with that or this ff join the discord. Anyways that's it for today. Leave a comment if you liked the chapter and throw some stones while you are at it and I will see you in the next one. Bye.
