Chapter 161: Sona: Okay, Mahiro!
Chapter 161 - Sona: Okay, Mahiro!
"Thank you, Mahiro-san."
After Mahiro's words, Yuuto regained his original appearance, his handsome face once again showing the same gentle smile as before.
"Reach the state of Balance Breaker as soon as possible. When you meet your companions again, it won't be them protecting you; it will be you protecting them."
Mahiro said with a smile.
"I won't disappoint you."
Yuuto held the crystal of light property tightly, a strong confidence shining in his eyes.
"Yuuto, it's time to discuss about your sudden disappearance yesterday."
Rias's eyes were serious, with a hint of reproach.
"I'm sorry, President."
Yuuto looked remorseful, then knelt on one knee, bowed his head, and said, "I betrayed everyone... even you, who once saved my life."
"No words can express my apologies."
Yesterday, after learning about the holy swords, Yuuto planned to seek revenge, even at the cost of leaving his comrades and becoming a stray.
This act could indeed be called betrayal.
Rias looked at Yuuto quietly, without saying a word.
"President, Yuuto-senpai didn't intend to cause harm," Koneko pleaded.
Mahiro watched calmly.
He understood that Rias was just giving Yuuto a light punishment—a little reprimand, nothing serious.
"Ara ara, Rias, what are you planning to do?" Akeno teased with a smile.
Being a close friend, she naturally understood Rias's nature.
Unless one of her companions did something truly unforgivable, she wouldn't be too harsh.
"Forget it," Rias finally said, her reproachful gaze softening.
"Since you've returned, that's enough. In the future, don't act so recklessly again."
"President!"
Yuuto looked up, gratitude and determination in his eyes. "I swear once more here!"
"I, Yuuto Kiba, as Rias Gremory's servant and knight, will protect my master and companions with my life."
"I accept your oath as your master!"
Rias smiled lightly and then turned to Akeno.
"However, the punishment must still be given. Akeno, you're up."
"Yes, President."
With a cheerful smile, Akeno sparked lightning in her hands, the crackling sound filling the air.
In a moment, Yuuto's scream echoed around the church.
After disposing of the bodies of Valper and the three stray exorcists and erasing some of the spells drawn in the church, everyone returned together to Rias's villa.
"President!"
Seeing Sona, Tsubaki, who was recuperating in the villa, ran over excitedly. "President, are you alright?"
"I'm fine, Mahiro-kun saved me."
Sona smiled and shook her head.
"Thank you, Mahiro-sama, for saving the President."
Tsubaki bowed gratefully to Mahiro.
"Sona is my friend; it's my duty to save her."
Mahiro helped Tsubaki stand up. "Your injury has just healed; don't move so suddenly."
"I'm... I'm fine. Asia has healed my injuries."
Tsubaki's face turned slightly red as she explained.
"Mahiro-kun, Rias-san, do either of you have injuries that need treatment?"
Asia leaned in nervously, looking around with concern.
"We're fine, Asia. But could you give Sona another treatment?"
Mahiro gently patted Asia's head.
Although his own healing skills were decent, they weren't as effective as Asia's Sacred Gear.
"Alright."
Asia placed her hand on Sona, emitting a gentle light.
"Thank you, Asia."
Sona expressed her gratitude.
"Does she need treatment as well?" Asia asked, glancing at Irina, who was unconscious on Xenovia's back.
"She should be fine. Irina isn't hurt; she just needs a good night's rest."
Xenovia looked at Asia with a complicated expression, about to say more but deciding against it.
With Irina deemed okay, Asia moved closer to Mahiro.
"I'll go to my room now. Looks like you don't need me here."
Jeanne waved indifferently and left after Rias nodded.
"I'll be heading back as well."
After recovering from her injuries, Sona turned to Mahiro. "Actually..."
"Is something wrong?"
Mahiro asked with a smile.
"When Kokabiel attacked, several of my servants were injured. I'd like to borrow Asia."
Sona asked, a bit embarrassed.
Since the incident with Riser, she felt like she owed Mahiro many favors, and borrowing Asia felt like adding to that debt.
Mahiro glanced at Asia, silently asking for her opinion.
"No problem. I'll go with you," Asia said without hesitation, her kindness compelling her to help.
"Thank you, Asia, Mahiro-kun."
Sona thanked them gratefully and sighed inwardly.
Her debt to Mahiro seemed only to grow, yet there was little she could offer in return.
This realization left her feeling conflicted—wanting to repay him but also not minding the lingering connection it provided.
With that, Sona and Tsubaki left with Asia.
Once they had gone, Yuuto also said his goodbyes.
"Darling, would you and Asia like to move here?"
Rias suggested.
"Move here?"
Mahiro was momentarily taken aback, feeling like this might be an invitation to enjoy a more comfortable lifestyle—something he quite liked.
"Alright, I'll move in tomorrow."
Mahiro nodded. With more people joining, his house was becoming a bit cramped.
"Rias, is my room still available?"
Akeno asked with a smile.
This was Rias's residence, and as her close friend, Akeno naturally had a room there.
"No, it's not!" Rias replied quickly, looking cautious.
"Then I'll share a room with Mahiro-kun tomorrow," Akeno replied smoothly.
"No!" Rias immediately objected.
She was looking forward to living with Mahiro herself and didn't want Akeno interfering.
"Ara ara, Rias, it's not really up to you."
Akeno smiled knowingly. "What do you think, Mahiro-kun?"
"President, I'd like to move in, too," Koneko added from the side. "It's lonely living by myself."
Rias sighed.
This arrangement might have been something to discuss privately with Mahiro.
